About Cadillac Canada

Cadillac is a luxury brand under General Motors, one of the largest North American automakers. It was established in 1902 by Henry Leland and is considered one of the oldest North American automakers. The company is known for its luxury, performance, and innovative technologies. It was the first American car to be awarded the Dewar Trophy from the Royal Automobile Club of England and has since adopted the slogan “Standard of the World.” The current product line includes the Cadillac ATS, CTS, XTS, CT6, XT5 and Escalade.

The Escalade is a full-size luxury SUV vehicle that was introduced in 1999 to directly compete against the Lincoln Navigator. Since its release, it generated high public demand and is considered to be one of the most luxurious SUVs. It is available in the following trims — Standard and ESV. It is in direct competition with the Mercedes-Benz GL class, Lexus LX and Infiniti QX80. The vehicle is loaded with advanced technologies including, Magnetic Ride Control, Side Blind Zone Alert and a Hydra-Matic heavy duty transmission.

The CTS series is a popular mid-size luxury line that was first introduced in 2002. It is available in the following trims — coupe, sedan, and sport wagon. It is in direct competition with the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Audi A4. The vehicle has aggressive styling as it was designed by renowned designers Wayne Cherry and Kip Wasenko. It is loaded with advanced technologies including an E-Z Key passive entry system, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, and StabiliTrak electronic stability control system. The CTS has won numerous awards and recognition including, 2012 Luxury Compact Car of the Year by Auto123.com, Top 10 Cars by Popular Mechanics, and Best New Sports/Performance Car by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).

In 2008, a high-performance edition of the CTS named the CTS-V Coupe was revealed, featuring a 6.2 liter V8 engine with 556 horsepower, Brembo brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The 2009 CTS-V was considered the world’s fastest V8 production sedan when it set record of 7:59:32 at Nürburgring race track. It is seen to be in direct competition with the BMW M3, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, and Porsche Panamera
