WORST DEALER EVER! I dealt with the Audi and VW sales people and they were terrible. The Audi rep was rude, disinterested and did not know his stuff. The sales manager could not, or would not, explain how the numbers in his pricing added up and when I challenged him on it he became rude and gave me an ultimatum. Needless to say I left and bought my car from another dealer. I had heard some bad stories about this dealership and I now believe that they're true. The whole environment is poisonous, and based on a conversation with a more honest (and no longer there) sales rep, it starts with the owner and trickles down to all departments. DO NOT USE THIS DEALER - YOU WILL GET SCREWED!

I had a horrible experience with their service department. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They improperly installed a part on my vehicle and it wasn't realised until my local mechanic tried to remove the part a few weeks later. I contacted the service department at Kingston VW as soon as my mechanic brought it to my attention and all the VW Service Expert said was 'Not our fault'. My mechanic removed the part, which cost me $200 in additional fees, which I requested Kingston VW reimburse me for. Their service manager offered me an expiring credit at their shop and stated again that it wasn't their fault. Also stated that their shop uses strict guidelines for installing the part but could offer me nothing to show this was followed during my service visit. I told the manager the credit did not nearly cover the costs I incurred from their poor workmanship, which he ignored. I tried on several occasions to contact the service manager, most times with no response, but when I did receive a response, he put me off and told me he would deal with my concern 'tomorrow' or that he was really busy and had't had time to look into it. He has never contacted me again.

I had several issues with Kingston VW during the purchase of the same vehicle, but at least the sales manager tried to rectify their mistakes to a reasonable resolution. The service manager doesn't seem to care about good customer service at all.

I do not recommend this dealership for either purchase or service for any reason. My advice is to go elsewhere for better service.

Every time I go there they never miss a chance to disappoint me. First I dropped my car for the regular service and the alignment check. I was told it will take 2 hours but they called me after 6 hours to pickup my car and when i got there they asked me if I want the alignment check or not. I was hoping my car is ready to go after 6 hours but was not.
I started having issues with my Cruze control. I asked them to fix it they charged me around $150 and said they found nothing but just dirt on the sensors. But the problem didn’t go away it still didn’t work even after two hours of getting my car from the dealership. I went there again after a week for the same issue and they did the same thing charged me $140 and cleaned my sensors, the same day it stopped working again. I know its not just the dirt but there is something else. Don’t know what to do now. Anyways if someone read this review I would suggest you to go to any other local mechanic rather than wasting your time and money at Vw Kingston.

What I thought was a good buying experience has slowly turned mediocre. Asked about a recall on our new vehicle before we bought it and was told it was fixed, months later I receive a letter about this recall, I had basically been lied to. Traded in a vehicle which they failed to close the lien on, resulting in a double payment. They forgot to put the monster matts I payed for in the vehicle. The sales person was wrong about numerous vehicle specs including the type of transmission.

I have bought or leased 5 vehicles from this dealership since 2012. I have always been thoroughly impressed with the sales staff I’ve dealt with as well as the very kind service/parts staff.

However, I recently had a negative experience when I brought my vehicle in for service. I called to make an appointment and they asked me if I wanted a “waiting” appointment in which my vehicle would be taken in for service within 15 minutes and I could wait in the showroom. When I showed up, they said I didn’t have a waiting appointment and I was required to wait 2+ hours at least…I was there for almost 4, and never once approached by staff while waiting. After my car was seen by the tech it was explained to me the potential causes for the issue, and what the tech did to fix it. I was charged 140$ and I was told I could go. 5 minutes later I noticed the issue was persisting so I called service. They said the tech didn’t have an explanation and said to bring the vehicle back in for more diagnostics. I was extremely upset by this because I just wasted hours away from family during the holidays and charged a fair bit of money for something not to be fixed. I’m now required to return to VW again with no guarantee this will be dealt with or that I will/will not be charged again.

If the cause/issue with my vehicle was not determined or fixed, I do not believe it was correct for VW to charge me and let me drive away.

Submitted my survey feedback two weeks ago and haven’t had a response so figured I’d share it here. To summarize, it took 1h38mins (came in at 2pm, paid at 3:38pm) to put on winter tires (on rims). I booked a waiting appointment rather than drop off appt because I didn’t want my sister to wait too long, might have been some mix up when my sister went to a store next door to bide the time resulting in my tires not being changed right away. This alone doesn’t warrant much issues, besides the fact that I can change them myself in an hour with my home equipment, but the interior of my windshield was clearly wiped. Which is quite nice except the rag they used must have been greasy. I didn’t notice until I was driving at night a few days later and the headlights illuminated the streaky grease marks. I had to stop at an on route and use a paper towel and water to buff out the grease on the drivers side. I still haven’t made the time to fully clean the window and do the passenger side. Also, not sure the policy but many employees were not wearing masks. Other than that everyone I have talked to as well as who my sister who brought my car in has talked to has been pleasant and friendly. Might be a one off experience, seems like a nice place otherwise.

On June 8 2020, I brought 2013 Jetta TDI to Kingston Vw for an oil change, I previously did my last oil change at Belleville Vw and 129$, when I scheduled the oil change with Kingston vw they were trying up sell with detailing packages, break fluid flushes, I declined with service worker named Nicole, so what I cannot understand is that paid 129$ with bellville vw, and Kingston Vw charged me 237$. When I picked up my car, the invoice has a tire rotation done which I did not need because I just put on my summer tires in May and are basically new only 5000km in them, charged me for other fluid changes, full mechanical inspection, on the invoice they charged me 105$ for labour, on top of the oil change, the service department worker stated it’s a standard charge,I stated it’s price gouging!!!!!!, my Audi Q5 doesn’t even cost that much for an oil change, when I spoke with Nicole I stated I only need an oil change nothing else, I called bellville vw and discussed the situation what happened, service department worker at Belleville vw advised me that they charged you for extras, isn’t that illegal without customer approval?,I’m filing a complaint with bbb regarding this matter and vw Canada, I know we are getting through a pandemic but price gouging is not acceptable and no excuse, Good Job Kingston VW you lost my service for good, stay away is my advise

I was called and reminded about a oil change and booked it. I asked what the cost was and was told $150 plus tax. Took the car in today and confirmed the cost again. Was told about $150 plus tax. All done the cost was $250. I was told the initial cost was an approximation. I could have it done at Midas for $100 with synthetic oil. I complained about being misled and they said sorry. No sorry and we will adjust your bill, no sorry and the next one is on us, just sorry. I'm sorry too as I love my Passat. Great car...I am sorry it won't ever get to visit the dealership in the future unless my concerns are addressed....
3 days have gone by and the service manager has called and I am pleased. The fact that they acknowledged the issue is a significant step. Mark was courteous and attentive and I will certainly continue using Kingston Volkswagen.

Stopped in as we had just purchased an Atlas from Orillia, drove to Kingston and couldn't access our gas tank, flap was frozen. This team was amazing at this dealership, and did everything they could to ensure we where on the road shortly after. Unfortunately, the door to our tank did not survive but the service was great and we highly recommend if a VW is in your sights this is a great dealership to deal with, from sales, service and management.
