Experience was absolutely terrible! I have my Toyota Corolla 2017 and I bought it in the year of 2016. When I went to the service, Troy didn't help me out of my issue. After my tire was fixed last Saturday, the next day my steering wheel was frozen along with the pedal even though temperature was NOT -40 or so and my car is brand new!!! No heat coming out through my car and there was a helicopter warning signal light. After 2 days of NOT using my car because it wasn't working, I went back to Toyota for help. Troy was trying to check my car but said "I can't help you, there was NO trace of anything in your car." I described and explained anything as much as I could but said he doesn't know what to do. I asked him if he knows maybe somebody who had this before and what may be the cause of a problem and he said " I don't know." The point is I am not going to Toyota Services because of nothing!! My car has a problem and if this happens again it might be giving a lot of trouble for me in the future . This is a brand new car and I just used it for 4 years!!! I even offered MYSELF and ask them if they would be able to check my car maybe for maintenance. Then that's when he said there is a $85.00 fee. I told them I maybe under warranty or I have my Gems card that could maybe waive or decrease the price because again, my car is only for years but Troy said sharply that it will $85.00 charge. I felt as a customer that they didn't offer any alternative solution and didn't want to help you out at all. I am not happy with their service.At the end of the day, business is a business.

Another great experience with Gateway. Jing, Kyle and of course Catlain were amazing every step of the way with purchase. I would highly recommend this dealership. The deliver was smooth and simple. The showroom was spotless and all the vehicles looked great. Walking around outside I couldn't believe the inventory of new and used, all cars were clean and very inviting to look at. Gateway has a customer for life. The 7 hour drive from BC was more than worth it.

I could easily rate Gateway Toyota with 5 stars mainly because of their exceptional customer service. Their team members seems to show genuine concern and does not in any way make you feel pressure in making decisions about anything specially about your vehicle.

To add to this, their building is clean, tidy, and has a nice waiting area. They also offer a complimentary (free) drink station with coffee and water which is always appreciated.

My advise!

Please try to negotiate price online from at least 4 different dealerships, calculate the payments, interest rate & vehicle options and go with the best offer. Tell the sales staff that you will get quote from all dealerships in the City and will see who deserves your business. Think twice consult with family and friends before you sign any papers.

Very disappointed after buying a used vehicle at this dealership. I flew from Regina to Edmonton to buy a vehicle because the salesperson promised me it was in "perfect" condition, even using the words "like new" to describe it. When I arrived the vehicle had a broken taillight (which they fixed), a gigantic deep scratch on the side that looks like a key mark (they tried to buff it out with no success), and the paint on the rims was chipping off and looked like trash. I was livid; the condition of the vehicle was not as I was promised. I flew in on my own dime, already taking the time to register and insure the vehicle in Saskatchewan, and now I have the manager trying to explain to me that none of this is really an issue and there's not much he can do about it: it took him far too long to even admit that his salesperson screwed up. I did end up buying the vehicle after they dropped the price a little bit, but I'm still not even sure it'll cover the cost to fix the door. Very unhappy with my experience here. Very unprofessional.

I think it's unacceptable that we drop our car off at 7:30am for detailing and then they tell us they are not finished by 5pm.... Over 8 hours later. We would assume if our vehicle is the first in that day for detailing it would be finished first. This is apparently not the case. We have never had such poor service like this before with gateway Toyota. Even calling to see when our vehicle will be ready we got patched through to 4 people before we got an answer. The last time we called it was after 5pm and the service manager was not there any longer. You should not be treating your customers like this especially since you don't give out loaner vehicles if it takes longer than 3 hours in the shop. They entirely forgot our vehicle. Once we picked it up you can clearly tell that they forgot about our car and that it was rushed. There were 2 predominant scratches on the rear of the vehicle and the vehicle doesn't even look clean. They just sprayed a bunch of armor all on it and that's it. Extremely disappointed with this dealership. This is what happens when you book 2 months in advance and show up at 7:30 am, only to be forgotten. Unacceptable and unprofessional. I have photos of everything.

My previous experiences with the service department have been amazing. This most recent one was very frustrating. Came in for an oil change and general maintenance service, normally it's taken an 1-2 hours (which I was completely fine with) this one took an extra hour. That's not the worst part, I was in the waiting area waiting, two hours pass then the third hour passed and I noticed my vehicle sitting in the lot all done... I was thinking alright should get a call soon. Waited another 40 mins and I had to call my service advisor to get a status update. Service advisor answered saying they had a solution to my problem with the vehicle (clunking sound with the brakes), was given the solution and asked if I wanted to proceed with the fix as the tech "had it apart". Which it wasn't because I've been staring at it for an hour in the parking lot. I told the advisor I would ask my father if he wanted it done and he said not to. I called the advisor, got sent straight to voice mail. Waiting on the call I was hoping the service advisor would admit that the vehicle was already done. I got the call and the service advisor said "Okay give me 5 minutes the tech will put your brakes back together" As the advisor said that, I was still staring at my vehicle which was parked in the lot. There goes my trust with the service reps at Gateway Toyota. A real bummer as service here was always great. Bottom line is, if you're going to lie to a customer make sure they can't see their vehicle all done in the parking lot.

My wife bought a Rav 4 from them and I was with her through it all. Staff are overall very friendly. The deal she got was competitive but not great. When we took delivery, the body of the car was not polished to remove some marks and swirl and promised. The girl who did the in car training was rushed and not thorough. I still haven’t figured how to get the air blowing consistently from the back vent. She knew little or nothing about the installed dash cam and promised a video she would email that we didn’t get. Everywhere there was pressure to give them a full 5 stars on the review they would send us. ‘Anything less than 5 stars is a fail’. I think the signs I gave were not enthusiastic enough so we did not receive the review at all. Whether they just didn’t send it or if they filled it out with perfect scores on our behalf I do not know. Then there is the clever way they don’t cross the line, but give you the distinct impression that if you don’t get it serviced at the dealer, you could void the warranty.

By far the worst dealership I've seen in customer service, and I am not new to buying cars. The sales staff are friendly but the finance team is incredibly rude, and spend their time lying. " I will call you in the morning" but not call, I give me until 1pm" become 24hrs later, now after 7 full day's I'm taking back my deposit and going to the a different Toyota dealership up the street. The customer experience is the most important aspect of your business and you don't think it's true. The final statement was "You realize you are not our only customer"

I got a great deal on a new 2018 Tacoma at Gateway Toyota. I flew in from Yellowknife to pick up the Tacoma. Michael Dillon, the friendly and helpful salesman who sold me the Tacoma, picked me up from the airport. I was given a very thorough briefing on all aspects of the Tacoma. Gateway Toyota also has a phenomenal free benefits package that came with the vehicle. Living in Yellowknife and probably never driving the Tacoma down to Edmonton, I unfortunately won't be able to make use of the benefits package. Basically I will return to Gateway for my next car and HIGHLY recommend them to everyone else. If you want to know the specifics just keep on reading . . .

I has already been looked for a new card for over 4 weeks and got quite unsettling reactions from a number of people - too busy; I didn't look serious enough; I didn't look the type to spend money etc.. Then a friend advised that I try Gateway. Well I had a great experience while working with Gateway staff to purchase my new car. The Sales Manager (Rick) was a riot and my Sales Associate (Gerry) was a perfect gem.

Gerry was patient and helpful as I tried several vehicles and when I settled on a specific model he spent all the time needed to identify the actual car that had the extra options I wanted. After some talk about money and Rick approving the deal the order was placed and the wait was on. . . but it took just a week for delivery.

Now I got to meet with the people in Finance and Vehicle Delivery - an organized group of people who really like their jobs and it shows. They were just fantastic and completely organized and still managed to get a laugh. It was next to no time at all and the paperwork was completed, the car was inspected, and I was on my way.

My baby is 4 days old and I am having a ball. Try Gateway and believe me you will be treated with respect and all the honesty that car salesmen are not supposed to have....

I brought my 2018 Chevrolet Corvette in to have Doris and her team tint the windows and install 3m paint protection on the front bumper, splitter, hood and both side mirrors. Both the tinting and 3m installation were done professionally and I couldn’t be happier. No star if I can. I have to write this because I don't think anyone should go through what I went through even though this happened a while ago from 2005 to 2008 in their old location, but this does not mean that things can let go and this is one of the reasons I quit buying Toyota ( I also hope Toyota HO will see this complain). I did not know about their service dept. when buying a vehicle. Who would have thought that the appointment was made for 8 am for an oil change, at 5 pm I went back to pick up the car and it was not ready? I finally got out of the dealership at 6 pm. This happened every service for 3 years. I complained to the foreman but he couldn't careless. My family is now happy to drive all Honda and Acura, great service that makes you feel like coming home.
