Excellent Service Department. Peter was very flexible to book me on a Saturday then Paul received my car on the day. Paul advised on the estimated time needed which was spot on, also recommended tire rotation and made sure my bill was accurate. Everyone kept their masks on making me feel safe to use the waiting area and coffee machine. Paul even passed on the free wifi password. The car was washed and vacuumed like never before. I just got my Volvo back. They had it for a few hours to replace a few items. I had never been in before and they remembered my name when I came to pick up my car. It was washed and the interior wiped down.
I have kids and my car was so messy so when I got into my car and saw how tidy and clean it was I felt so happy and grateful.

Great customer service. First impression worth the 30 km drive from Vancouver. Visited to pick up a set of front & rear wiper blades that were readily in stock. The gentleman at parts desk, Summit very knowledgeable & helpful. He offered 10% off the wiper set but it was not reflected on the invoice :-( hence the less than perfect rating - hope it can be rectified.

Will return to try out the service at the next maintenance interval.

Purchased a Certified Used S60 from Jayson over the weekend. Most of the communication occured via email prior to picking up the vehicle which made the process very efficient. Jayson was excellent to work with, very knowledgeable and professional, as with Jenny from finance and Peter, who was kind enough to shuttle the car to the destination. Even though my primary residence is in Alberta, making the trip to Surrey Volvo will be well worth the trip with the great team they have.

I had the Volvo Appearance protection (interior and exterior) service done at this dealership and when I picked it up I noticed white blemishes on my chrome trims. At first I thought it was just dirty because they didn’t exactly do a great job with cleaning or detailing. When it was clear it was not something you could clean away I took it back to them to have to corrected. After getting the run around on how it was an “outside influence” and that also it may be a manufacturer defect on the trim which is a known issue to Volvo they finally took it in to try to polish it off. This worked temporarily but then the blemishes started to reappear within a few days. They refused to do anything further on it stating that the polish was done as a “courtesy” and even Volvo will not take any responsibility for it and suggested that I go through my insurance and put a claim in to have the trims replaced. How this makes any sense when you’ve acknowledged there is an issue and tried to fix it only to refuse to replace it is beyond me. Contacting the dealership did not result in any reasonable resolution either. How is it reasonable that I am to pay for damage caused by a service done at a Volvo dealership that is also endorsed by Volvo is beyond me. Feels a lot like a scam to me. Do not recommend this service or location at all.

In the past 2 months, I’ve been to countless auto dealers. Some sales are too laid back, never follow up after test drive. Some used the pressure tactics, which is a turn off for me. JP Volvo of Surrey happened to have the car that I wanted at the right price with the perfect sales, Anna to match.

A lot of times, the negotiation is done verbally. More often that not, if the verbal agreement is not inked, the sales would not honoured what was verbally agreed upon. And that was supposedly one mistake I made but I had Anna as my sales and she’s the lady of her word. Every single item which she agreed, she delivered.

Communication with Anna was prompt. And when she was away, she made sure I was well taken care of during delivery. If you want a worry-free car buying experience, look for Anna.

Recently bought my car at JP Volvo of Surrey. When I go pick my car up, my sales was off that day. Rick helped me instead. He was very thorough and went thru every single option in the car menu.

Few days later, I realized the mat was missing in the trunk and I went back to Volvo. My sales wasn't in that day, but Rick was. He went high and low looking for a trunk mat for me.

All this when he wasn't even my sales. Can you imagine if he was? I always imagined car sales are like "see ya later" after you signed the dotted line. But Rick was one of a kind. He really care about his customer.

The financial advisor spent almost 2 hrs to talk me into an insurance called “five stars protection” which costs over $1500. She said when my lease is ended, I won’t have to pay if there is dent or scratches on the body. I didn’t even get any detail terms and conditions printed out when the time I purchased the insurance. Now, my car went into a little trouble, Nobody even tried to help. I visited twice in the store and I called a couple times. It seemed nobody knows how to take care of this. The front desk printed out a policy which didn’t matches the one I have on hand. They said they will let the financial advisor to call me. But nobody called. You feel you purchased a luxury car here? And deserve some service? No, you got involved with a whole bunch of people who do not know what they are supposed to do. You pay, you lose! That’s it! And remember don’t buy insurance policy until you understand exactly what the terms and condition on the paper!!!!

I was so excited when I purchased my 2012 S60, I told everyone how great the cars were. Shortly after buying the car (privately) I brought it in to the dealership and asked them to check everything over and see if anything needed work or if there were any issues. They told me it needed a few things, about $1100 worth which I was more than happy to pay as I don’t skimp on servicing my cars. I later paid to have the polestar upgrade done as I was excited to have this car for a long time and wanted to put the money into it to make it what I wanted.

I noticed a few things that I wasn’t so happy with, after driving the car a bit more. The sensors on the door locks didn’t work, there was a rattle seemingly from the engine under acceleration, tires having a hard time holding air, a shudder while driving, the drivers seat squeaking non stop while driving, the telescopic steering wheel wouldn’t stay in place etc. Concerns were starting to build now. I brought it in and asked them to check things out and it all went downhill from there. They told me the extended warranty didn’t transfer over to me from the previous owners, which was not true, but said they would just do it anyways under the old owners name... They ended up calling the previous owners about parts they were ordering and not me, which was not appropriate. They said they fixed things and gave the car back and they werent fixed. I asked them to do a tire rotation, they didn’t do it, I asked them to do a wheel alignment, they didn’t do it. They couldn’t fix the rattle during acceleration, they couldn’t fix the seat, they wouldn’t do the services I asked, and lied to me about my warranty but said they would just do it anyways... it’s pretty black and white, the warranty transfers. I went in a few times to try and get things fixed, not caring what I cost. I looked into buying new wheels because they couldn’t figure out why mine were leaking air and wobbling. They couldn’t figure out why the car was so wobbly and they ‘rebalanced’ my wheels which made the car shudder so bad right before a long trip, that I went out and bought a separate set of wheels. It’s like they would do things to the car and not even check if it actually fixed anything. I had an appointment before work at 7am and the service guy comes strolling in 10 mins after 7 and had such an immature attitude about being late, and therefor making me late for work.

I have since stopped servicing my car at this dealership. After going elsewhere I found out my tires were absolute garbage and I bought the best ones they would sell me that day. At this point I’m extremely disappointed that this so called premium brand can’t even tell me I need new tires. I have a warranty that is in some ways useless because they can’t fix the problems. I have very little confidence in my car and will likely trade it in soon at this point because of how disappointed I am with the brand. I have previously owned a Mazda and an Infiniti and can not say enough good things about the service department at those dealerships. Above and beyond excellent service every time. Obviously after these experiences, I could never recommend them to anyone. I was really hoping to love Volvo and buy another down the road for myself and my wife, but I don’t think I would ever consider a Volvo again.

I have got an 2017 Volvo XC90 from 2016 XC90. When I had 2016 XC90,I encountered lots of issues I
had never ever met,like the engine was off while driving suddenly,The touch screen was dead and restart again and again automatically,The sales representative comforted me the 2016 was a such new vehicle that had many advanced technologies,which probably caused some small problems,I thought that make sense, I agreed.After 1.5 yrs,The sales called me the new 2017 xc90 was on sale and new system was upgraded and run smoothly,So I changed to 2017 xc90.Since then,I encountered more issues,Such as engine malfunction error alerts last winter,The gear shift was dead last month when I was driving on the road,I had to call Volvo road assistant to pull the car to the dealer. When i had the new 2017 xc90 until 35,000KM 2-3 months ago,I have replaced 2 sets of front break pads already. I have brought my car to the dealership asking why the break has to be replaced so often, I was told that it was caused by the way I am driving impolitely. I can’t imagine the way I was treated as a customer who got 2nd XC90 from Volvo of Surrey. Let me tell you that I also have a X5 that has 45K so far, and I was driving the similar routes and ways as my XC90 but the break has never been replaced until now. If you are trying to blame a customer for the issues of your product, please do some researches about your competitors because at my case, I can easily assume that BMW produces better products and now even service than Volvo. And dramatically yesterday, I have brought my car in for the shaking issue when speed is over 100km per hour, you guys told me my car works alright with no issue,just need to change rear brake pads,OK,I did.But when I got the car, it had an error message says turning malfunction.How irresponsible was your service people who didn’t even check the error message before passing the key over to your customer??In the end, I am very disappointed about your product and service which will lead me and all my friends that I know to other brands. Oh by the way, there are 6 parents driving Volvo at my kids school. I have told them what I have experienced and you will no longer see them getting another Volvo any more!

I found the process a pleasant experience, fully attributable to our advisor Khir who is an excellent sales professional: knowledgeable, polite, personable, honest, and quick to respond to our needs. We came well prepared and the whole process including test drive, look into several options, and trade in took only two hours. This rating is because of PAUL the service manager who took care of my needs and my 15 year old V70 (still feels new to me) — but most importantly his customer service is top-notch professional.

My car left me stranded and only one phone call to Paul and all was taken care of without a headache. The service centre is at opposite ends of the city for me and this was a complicated timing for my family, but Paul made this 5 stars and memorable for all of the right reasons.

Though I haven't found solid evidence, but the Surrey location might be using a higher grade synthetic oil compared to other dealerships, because I don't need to top up near the 8000km oil change.

I have just bought a 2015.5 Volvo XC70. The experience was made pleasant by the way in which Jayson handled the transaction. This has been my easiest car purchase ever, avoiding the usual stressful to and fro of negotiation with unseen manager-s, and resulting in what is a very competitive deal. I have driven Volvos as my main car since 1970, both in the U.K. and Canada. The only comparable easy transaction was when I imported a car directly from the factory at Gothenburg in 1981 as a newly arrived immigrant.
Build and quality, comfort and performance are the factors that make me a long term Volvo customer. I hope that the future will sustain and allow your dealership to continue such excellent service.

I recently bought Volvo S60 Four Wheel Drive. The purchasing was an awesome experience. Joseph and Jason did amazing job. The offered a very highly competitive price. I looked at Toyota, Volkswagon, Ford and Honda. First and foremost the features available in Volvo is not available in other manufacturers atleast in 2014 model. Also I had lot of the dealers could not provide me the vehicle that I am interested for test drive. I also have another Volvo and extremely satisfied with the service I am getting.
