Do not go for service here.
Requested a 60k service, and when I went to pick up my car the invoice showed a 30k service had been completed; asked my rep to clarify bc I asked for the 60k (and expected the full list of items under the 60k to have been looked at of course). She insisted that "the 30k and 60k services for your car are the same." I read the VW maintenance manual and they are clearly not. the. same. There is a reason I was adamant about getting the 60k package but I won't get into that here. When I provided feedback to them afterwards about the fact that a) I asked for a 60k service and they led me to believe that's what I was getting the entire time, yet actually did a 30k and b) the rep wrongfully insisted that both services are the same when they're clearly not (the VW manual itself literally defines what is in each service and how they differ), they refused to even acknowledge their mistake, let alone apologize and instead made it seem like they did me favors and that I was wrong to feel misled - I know I wasn't wrong because they are arguing against what is literally in writing in the Manual and out of everything, this bothered me the most - the fact that they refused to acknowledge their mistake and take ownership. Staff ego is more important than customer retention/experience at Georgetown VW I guess.

A VW agent emailed me offering a trade in option, went in and signed the offer documents, but realized later that day I was being ripped off, emailed them back to cancel and this is where they turn into bullies!

They replied by stating "all sales are final", this is more of a dollar store policy not a proper dealership!

I do not remember signing any document that stated anything was final.

I know it is sad they are losing such a big deal and commission but they cannot and will not force me to proceed with the deal.

Will definitely escalate to consumer protection and the better business bureau.

I used unhaggle to find a good deal on a car and was directed to Georgetown Volkswagen. I was connected with a salesman named Tim who helped me through my first car purchase. I did my test drive and started to look a different models based on my needs and pricing. Tim gave me a great deal and I ended up purchasing the car. Throughout the process he was very specific about all the details and all questions were answered. Some salesmen/women really pressure you to put the car but I never felt pressured into buying the car. The accounting department was really kind as well and answered all of my questions. I am very happy with my car and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Overall, a very good process!

Took my Volkswagen Jetta in to have my directional winter snow tires put on . Found out today ( thanks to a different dealership) that the tires were put on in the wrong direction. Please don't waste your time or money taking your car to this dealership to have even the simplest thing done. Plus if you do a comparison on part prices, you will find that their prices are usually higher then at other dealerships. I've caught them twice, charging more for a wheel cover and head light.

I WISH I COULD PUT 0 STARS !

I financed a used car, within less than two weeks my car battery died. I had a great experience going through the process of financing, signing off the papers and making sure I had everything ready to drive off with the car(Great deal). But once I drove off the lot it was a turn for the worst. During the test drive I noticed a few minor issues (sinking brake pedal, no headlight, gear shift making noise) that all could’ve been solved easily maybe if it was a Volkswagen and not a different make. I advised the sales rep of the issues I had with the car and was told everything will be looked after during safety, so I took their word for it. Upon taking delivery of the vehicle everything seemed fine until I connected my phones bluetooth to listen to some music and heard rattling coming from the passenger door speaker (on same day of delivery). I advised the sales rep when he reached out to me about the speaker and I was told to come in so they can look at it. A few days before even bringing in the car my Master Warning light came on which could be anything as my brake pedal was still sinking I reached out to them in a panic as I could lose my brakes (low brake fluid in reservoir - checked after my warning light came on) and they had no answer other than "brining in the car was the first step" so I took my risks of driving it which was very unsafe. I had to take time off work just so they can look at it as the dealership is far from where I live. On the day of having the issue fix - there was nothing they could do about the warning light as "they didn't have the tools to fix my car" but had the tools to sell it and fix the headlight and check to see if there was air in the brake line? I knew they had a scan tool and had to advise them to scan it. They were doing the bare minimum as it was a different make and not their own. After scanning the car, they found a error code about a low battery and charged it (once there is problems with a battery might as well change it than to charge it) I advised them to change it but they only offered to charge the battery). If they were actually charging my car, it wouldn't be sitting outside with the hood closed and then offering to wash my car as well but decided to wash it when I came back to pick up the car (car was only there for an hour once they said they were going to charge it) and saw they were only using water and a dirty drying mitt no soap/cleaner/solution applied (left lots of water marks on my windows) . With the speaker they tried blaming me for blowing out my own speaker and that maybe my music is too loud and offered for me to pay to have them order the part and put it into the car. NO I DO NOT THINK SO, What's the point of having speakers and not playing it loud (rattling can still be heard at a low volume). For anyone buying a used car from this dealership I advise you don’t and to save yourself the trouble. If your not buying a Volkswagen DO NOT BOTHER COMING here, they only want to sell you a half broken car and not fix it when problems occur.

I purchased a car from Georgetown Volkwagen earlier this month. I usually don't write reviews but I had to write one about my experience here. I decided to purchase a used car from a car dealership as I trusted that my car would be in good shape / appropriately serviced. After receiving my vehicle I took my car to be checked by my mechanic, he let me know that the tires barely passed safety and that I should not attempt to drive when it rains. Very petrifying to know that the dealership allowed me to take possession of this car knowing that the tires were in this condition.
A few days after my purchase, the sales rep contacted me to ask how I was doing with my new car. When I explained what happened the rep could not remedy the situation.
I don't know fine details of cars and I truly thought that I wouldn't have issues like this by going to a dealership.
Definitely not happy with my experience here and wanted to share this information.

Never buy a car from them. Will never give you what they promise. Recently bought a VW Passat from the. They promised to give new Michelin or continental tires, but at the time of delivery put on some Chinese brand tires and kept telling that this is not the new pair and you will get a new pair and later told that those are the tires that we agreed to put on. Biggest cheaters. Totally unprofessional and unethical. Reached out to Volkswagen too but they also said they cannot do anything as they have no control over dealerships. Heights of Unprofessional-ism. Please do not go to this dealership. Waste of your money.

WARNING - GEORGETOWN VOLKSWAGEN DEALERSHIP SELLS DAMAGED "CERTIFIED PRE OWNED" VEHICLES.

Very disappointed in my first purchase. Went to a Volkswagen dealership with hopes of peace and mind of a clean used vehicle.

Vehicle was delivered with one key, and was told another key would be $4-500; after getting angry picking up the car i was told they would try to find the other key if not they would provide a new key to me at no cost, which they have found the key.

The next day after picking up the vehicle i noticed the right rear taillight was completely filled with condensation on the inside. On the car fax report it said there was light damage to the right rear bumper; but nothing was fixed, i examined the bumper and saw a light scratch on the bumper and thought nothing of it. After seeing the condensation in the taillight i examined thoroughly and realized the bumper had been painted, the tailgate had been painted, the taillight seal was broken. there was also over spray of paint on the interior panel of the tailgate. a little more then "light damage" that was not disclosed by the dealer. now that i see it you can clearly see two different shades of paint, bumper and tailgate do not match rest of the body.

I emailed them letting them know the taillight is filled with condensation, i was told its not covered and that was that, i was blown off.

Very disappointing in my $16 000 purchase.

My experience with Georgetown vw has had its ups and downs.

Cameron and Katrina got me set up in a cpo vehicle, with a very quick turnaround. It was greatly appreciated.

There were some, mostly cosmetic defects with the car, along with some warnings that came on immediately after pick up. The warnings were quickly rectified, but the cosmetic issues were a challenge to get rectified. I had to send emails with read receipts to finally get them to fix them. The issues were dealt with though, it just took 3 months.

Enter the service department. There were some minor issues, that were dealt with accordingly. Then the turbo had to be replaced under warranty. Since the work involved quite a bit of removals, I asked for new bushings/mounts to be installed.

I was told that they were not allowed to do this work during warranty repairs, and would have to charge me full rates. I asked for a better explanation, as they were not going to put the car back together, and then remove everything, and that I should just pay for the additional time. I stated that they could have the service manager call to explain, but never received any form of contact.

When I went to pick up the car, there was a loud rattle coming from the car. I had to bring the car back to be fixed again. They stated there was a test drive performed, but clearly it was not.

About 2 weeks after this, I got a warning to do an oil change, which I had paid for at the same time the turbo was replaced. I contacted them to verify it was done, and just given the it says it was done on your bill at x km. I got an oil change somewhere else shortly after.

A week after this, I got a low coolant warning. This was during a temperature change (climate) and i topped it up. A few days later the same thing. I brought the car in for an inspection elsewhere. When the turbo was replaced, they didn't put a clamp on one of the coolant lines.

I now have concerns that the head could have overheated, and I wouldn't know. The service department was so poor, I've had to bring it to other shops to get their mistakes rectified.

Needless to say that my vehicle won't be going back there. I'd caution anyone before having any service work beside maintenance there.

Update: I am still not happy about particular filter warranty issue (read it below) but i should give credit when it is due. I had another problems with my TDI but this time warranty covered reapir. Anyways, i noticed that the dealership adjusted alignment on my car. they did not even ask me about it, they just did it at no additional cost. This was a nice touch and I would like thank service department for that. The car definitely drives better now.

I bought my VW Jetta TDI with VW comprehensibly 5 star warranty up to 200,000k from this dealership. When I bought the warranty I was told that the warranty covers the same components as regular 80,000 thousand bumper to bumper warranty with additional $100 deductible. Unfortunately this seems to be not the case. Diesel particulate filter started causing problems and the dealership told me that this part is not under extended warranty. I got estimate from this dealership for the repair which is approximately $2500. The same part was already replaced once by this dealership and it started causing problems again after two years of driving. The warranty that the dealership sold me is clearly not as comprehensive as they claimed to be. I do not understand how VW "comprehensive" warranty does not cover major components like that. Yes it does say in the brochure that filters are not covered but who would thought that this includes $2500 filter. Given cheating VW scandal I am not surprised that this part is conveniently excluded from "comprehensive warranty". I refuse to fix this part on my own because this part even when is "property functional" still emits 40x more pollutants than allowed by law. So what is the point of spending $2500 ? i might just as well drive the car with "faulty" particular filter.

I recently traded my vehicle in for a jetta GLI and have never been to a dealership where I was treated this well! Not only do I love my new car but everyone there is AMAZING!!! I have a lot of experience with car dealerships but the service and courtesy at georgetown volkswagon is like no other.

My mother bought her jetta from here last year and we were so happy with the care and service, so I bought mine here too.

In addition to the time that my sales rep Matt L. spent with me, he also did a great job answering my many questions and was SO knowledgeable. He is patient and thorough. I never felt pressured at all while I was there.

Jason from service has been lovely to deal with when I had some questions. He came over and ensured that he answered all of my questions and another service member was available and kept me updated.

Not only are the sales and service staff professional and kind, but the owner (Juoko) and his 4-legged Staff member Bruno are great and ensure that everything is organized and everyone is taken care of. :)

I don't mind waiting in the service lounge area when it comes time for my oil changes because everyone there is so friendly. Keep it up!
I recommend georgetown volkswagon to anyone who tells me they need a new or used vehicle. :)
