We recently purchased a VW 2024 Taos. The service we received was phenomenal! My husband had gone online to check the trade in price for our VW Jetta and within hours our sales representative called us to see how he could help! Amazing! Russ, was exceptional. He provided us with lots of options to consider. He even came in on his day off so we could test drive some options. Again, amazing! We were convinced we were buying one model and put a deposit 💵 on it and went home to further think about it. We then contacted Russ and put in a query about another model of the Taos, he worked diligently to ensure we got the best price! The next day we went in to pick up our vehicle! It came complete with a bow on it and we got to drive it out of the showroom. Now, I don’t know about you, but I have always wanted that experience of a new vehicle with a bow on it! Again, amazing. The attention to detail from everyone involved in the purchase was extraordinary! Harbourview VW gets our vote for the BEST customer service. Russ our salesperson, came in on his day off to congratulate us and to make sure we were taken care of by the rest of the Harbourview VW team. Darcy spent an extensive amount of time with us going over the many amazing features of our new car. He provided us with his contact information and told us we could contact him anytime if we had any further questions. We completed our financing and warranty options with Kate and she was also very friendly and great to deal with. We were able to get new plates and our insurance and didn’t have to leave the dealership which was very convenient. I had the opportunity Tuesday December 12, 2023 to meet the most inviting staff in a Volkswagen dealership in my 34 years within the VW industry. I came by to visit with Stephanie in Service and Rusty in Sales. (I'm currently from Seattle visiting our grandchildren in Ladysmith.) I had no idea I would run into such a beautiful facility and wonderful inviting staff!! Stephanie was very inviting and a wonderful person to speak with. Rusty was absolutely adorable with the way he gave me a tour of the ENTIRE facility and was shown some collectibles classics Collectibles. I have worked for Volkswagen corporate North America for 20 years and have managed over 30 dealerships in 4 states (as their District VW Rep), and this is one of the best facilities. PLUS, Harbourview VW is a prestigious Wolfsburg Crest Club dealership. It's pretty obvious as to why. Next time I'm in town, I'm inviting a good friend of mine from Volkswagen Academy corporate headquarters to come and visit.
Our first purchase at Harbourview was a used 2007 Jetta TD I wagon in 2009. Since then we now have a 2018 Tiguan and a 1995 Eurovan Camper, Winnebago version. All have been exceptionally serviced at Harbourview. Our recent purchase of a 2023 iD4 ProS was one of the most positive experiences to date at any car dealership. The salesman Dave Mathewman, was very knowledgeable and patient with answering all of my nerdy questions. All of the staff encountered during and after delivery were professional and friendly. I have since been back with refreshers on some of the complexities of some of the operating procedures and left with a smile and a little more knowledge. I was and still am an unofficial salesman of Harbourview Volkswagen.

I've been dealing with Harbourview for six years now. Never had a bad experience ever. I get all my oil changes, brakes, tires, rims, etc. and every person I deal with is great. I drop my truck off in the morning and they have a super safe key drop, the lot is lit up well in the morning and when I come to pick up my truck its always freshly cleaned and ready to go which is great for me as I’m usually pretty busy. Would highly recommend this dealership for a purchase of a car or any service your vehicle may need
I put my faith in Harbourview and was sold a LEMON after specifically asking about the head gaskets, gurgling noise behind the dash and whether any major repairs needed to be done such as the timing belt.
To cut a long story short the whole coolant system had to be replaced including head gaskets and timing belt within the first 3 mths.
Aside spending $16k on the car and then putting another $7.5k into repairs, I was mostly travelling alone so it created huge amounts of anxiety and extra costs in extra accommodation, travel arrangements and other bills.
Harbourview will try and say that they helped out enough however the proof is under the hood and inside my wallet. BEWARE of these cars dealers.

The Jetta was own a Litre of engine oil...(a feature that mixes small amounts of engine oil with fuel...this feature prolongs oil changes..)

Easily the best car buying experience I've ever had. Steven was an absolute pleasure to work with, he was very patient with the mountains of questions I had for him throughout the process, and kept me in the loop with every update on the arrival of my new vehicle. He was extremely transparent throughout the buying experience; no hidden or extra fees, no random add-ons, it was honestly such a breath of fresh air compared to all the other VW dealerships on the mainland. One of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. I had steeled myself for the usual sales process nonsense but Danya was amazing and a pleasure to work with. The whole team made sure we got a deal that worked and we got to drive away in our new car that day.
While the sales person I dealt with was decent, the finance person (Caitlin Middleton) was not friendly. I think management is aware and perhaps they may take action. Overall, can’t recommend this dealership. But if people like Caitlin are removed from the dealership then I may recommend the dealership.
Just had my older VW serviced here; it was my first time. I needed a VW dealer only repair. And it was just EXCEPTIONAL service. Not good, great or excellent....exceptional! I've owned a lot of cars in half a century and have had vehicle service hundreds of times on many vehicles. This place, hands down is the best. Jay was amazing!!! He went above and beyond. And the coffee machine alone is worth the visit. Exceeded my expectations and no one will touch my VW again except them. Sorry to my long time repair shop; you were good but not exceptional.
I have been searching for a truck for some time and been bombarded with pressure sales tactics and overpriced products. Another award winning service experience at Harbourview , this one over re balancing of my MK 8 R wheels after the break-in period . This level of service doesn’t exist in the brave new world. Kudos to Lain and Chris for doing such fine work .
VW is the worst. If you call about parts the refuse to give out part numbers. On top of the hefty price tag their return policy on even unopened parts is terrible. Most dealers I like the OEM parts but VW makes it a mess. Will be my last resort in parts for my car.

Friendly helpful staff will help get you into exactly what you are looking for at a reasonable price. VWs are good value, and although the wait times for some models are lengthy (8 - 12 months for the electric ID4), you are price protected from your time of order. Also, they will give you a good deal on your trade, especially if it's a VW product.

Sean provided excellent sales service. He was clear in his communications, honest and reliable. He offered me a generous trade in on my 2018 E-golf (I did compare prices across Canada). The ordering and purchasing of an all electric AWD ID4 took under a year, which was surprisingly quick, given current pandemic and geopolitical conditions. I purchased my previous electric car at Harborview in 2018, and they went above and beyond helping me participate in the BC Scrap-It program (the owner of Harborview communicating directly with the top person at BC Scrap-It.) Thank you for everything.
Maz treated us great. He worked really hard to get us into something that met all my criteria including my budget. Easy and relaxing car buying experience and we are super happy with our new car.
Reasonable Shop rate; friendly, personable, yet professional service team, got my (strangely acting) car functioning within an hour, and set me up for a more permanent solution a few days later for way less money then I thought it would be. Complementary shuttle while your vehicle is being serviced. And my car got washed for free (not detailed and only the outside so don’t go harassing them for a free detailing). Overall I don’t think they could have done better.

Purchased a car here 2 years ago with optional insurance. Insurance was presented as an opt in that you pay extra for additional coverage. Zero mention of any sort of fix locked term. Imagine my surprise when I sold the car that I was actually locked into this bonus insurance till 2026. There was no mention of these and no document was provided after signing up for this insurance, I had to find it out through contacting their support site. Be extremely careful signing up for optional insurance options.
Lane is an exceptional Service Advisor who knows what he's doing and was very helpful. This is different than my typical dealer experience, which I also typically dread.
I went in with low expectations given other experiences, namely lack of due care and attention for my car and the service being performed, but I left surprised with how easy a VW service should be!
If Harbourview can keep treating customers fairly and professionally they will stand out amongst other Volkswagen dealers on the Island (looking at you South Island!).
Many folks don't want to go back to these dealers, I'll definitely be back to Harbourview. Please keep up this differentiation from the others.

About a year ago I bought my 2004 Volkswagen jetta diesel off Bobby. I have owned almost 20 vehicles and by far this is the best vehicle I have ever owned I have done over sixty thousand kilometers with not one repair needed or problem with my car. Dealing with the dealership was great I love how I get free car washes for life. I would highly recommend the Volkswagen dealership because of their honesty they did not lie to me about anything they were straightforward.
