I recommend this dealership. I would say a five star, good service! They greet you with respect, and ask you when you come in for a coffee, water, .... Who has car wash till you own your vehicule bought there, and who has it's own car starter, and they will store your winter/season tires.... Hey, what you can ask for better service!! It took a short time to get approve, and we felt very welcome, and comfortable! I when to buy a truck in my hometown, at a dealer, I wasn't greeted like this, and no one came to greet me, and ask me if I needed help. Advisor was pleasant and asked if I needed a ride from their shuttle. Work was completed as expected and I was pleased with the reasonableness of my bill. As always Eric & Phyllis in the service department took great care of myself and my family with the last few unfortunate visits. We happened to get a flat tire after hitting some debris on the QE2 highway and they immediately took care of all our needs asap. We can always count on them to work with our busy schedules and get us were we need to go on time. We have 4 VWs in our family and they always go over and above to meet our needs.

We had an amazing experience at VW Red Deer. Every time we visited the dealership, someone (ranging from service staff to sales associates) greeted us and asked us how they could help. We were looking for a specific vehicle and Elie and his sales team really helped to accommodate us. We were given a fair price and the transaction was easy and stress-free. On our road trip across Canada we had our front tire blown out due to road rut. This happen on Saturday July 13 just after 11 am. We could not get a tow service until after 2. I called Gary Moe VW and explained the situation, they reassured me that they would have a tire set aside for me when I got there and they were true to their word, even though I arrived around 3 when they were already closing shop. My daughter is from Nova Scotia and working in Lake Louise was on her days off when she has a water pump issue with her Jetta. They got her right in on to look at the car (it was mid afternoon on a Friday) ordered the parts she needed for the warranty work, supplied her with a loaner so she could get back to work and not stranded and miss work while the work was being done.

Had a pretty good experience purchasing my new vehicle. Steven in the sales department was definitely the best part of the whole experience (other than getting my new vehicle of course) He was extremely accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, etc. I have nothing but good things to say about him, he really went above and beyond for me, you guys should give him a raise in all honesty.
There was a communication hiccup in the finance department, was not happy about that, but I have no complaints about the sales department so they made up for that. So a pretty good experience over all, minor things that could be improved on. I am loving my new vehicle so far. Fair trade in for my old vehicle.
My experience this morning was very good. They offered a shuttle but I waited for my vehicle. They provided frequent updates on the progress and the work was well done. They also washed my car when finished. Very good experience!
I brought my car in for what I thought was some basic service work, and quickly found out that things were much more complex than I had expected. With many mechanics, it was a situation that could have ended up being a black hole of dollars, HOWEVER the service manager Eric got ahold of the situation and he went above and beyond to quickly find solutions that worked, and didn’t drain my bank account. Overall, my experience with the service department, and Eric in particular, was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

I was dreading having to go through the pain but the great team Frank, Dan, Kyle and Scott at Gary Moe Volkswagen in Red Deer made it as Quick and painless as possible. There was no pressure, I didn't feel rushed at any time and the dealership made the process smooth and easy. The team was happy to take the time to explain and address any questions and concerns I had quickly, clearly and no games getting me a great deal. My final price was exactly what was discussed with no last minute surprises. I bought a 2018 Golf R earlier this week with the help of amazing Alex, and so far am very satisfied with their level of service to me! I had to go in for a minor service for the interior lighting today and was very comfortable with the process and happy with their level of communication with me. Even got a free car wash while I was there! The day I bought it, they were very open & honest with me and got me in and out with the car in about 3 hours, as I had to go to work. I couldn't be more pleased about my experience buying a car!
This is my second time dealing with Ryan Dandurand and both times he has offered exceptional service and an unbeatable price. I am from Edmonton so almost everything was done over the phone or via email no matter which media was used I receives a quick response. Ryan is very straightforward and transparent when it comes to the purchase of a vehicle and I really appreciate that.
Cyrena offered me great pricing on an appearance warranty and she was great to deal with as well. Chris handled the walk through once I arrived at the dealership and was very thorough and took the time to answer any questions I had. Bernie finalized our paperwork and again was great to deal with as well. Everyone that I dealt with at the dealer was easy going and there wasn't any sense of high pressure sales tactics.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. I made an appointment to test drive a car with John Shoulders via email and clearly stated that I was driving down from Edmonton to do so. John responded: "I've added the appointment to my schedule...in the event the vehicle sells in the meantime I'll let you know of course as that is a real possibility". On the day of the appointment I arrived a few minutes prior to the arranged time and John is nowhere to be found. I was greeted by two other staff who were kind enough to try and locate him. Not only had John already left the dealership, he didn't even bother informing me that the car was no longer available. When I called John to inquire about the missed appointment and lack of communication, John acted confused and served up a buffet of excuses. Of which, I will only mention a few:
1. Denial of correspondence and that the appointment was even made-not the brightest idea when there is an email trail of my interest in the car and for setting the date and time of the appointment.
2. According to John, clients are supposed to call back businesses to "confirm" their appointments, otherwise the appointment is considered null. Really, when did this become the norm? I've never encountered this from any other professional establishment-doctors, dentists or physiotherapists don't no show if clients don't call their offices to ‘confirm appointments’. In fact, well organized professionals follow up with their clients, not the other way around. This is especially true considering John stated in his email: “ in the event the vehicle sells in the meantime I’ll let you know...". Furthermore, I had even ‘confirmed’ by replying: “Look forward to seeing you then...”.
3. Playing the fool. John stated he didn't feel there was a need to let me know the car was no longer available because there is always a potential of listed cars being sold. True. I believe in the phrase 'sh*t happens'. There is potential for anything to happen, its life.However, there is something called probability. Meteorologists don't make blind forecasts and judges don't randomly convict people of crime. If there is a high probability of something occurring, based on facts, a reasonable person can deduce it will. In this case, when a potential buyer puts a deposit on a car and you send the car to the shop to have new tires installed for that buyer (as I was told by the staff who I spoke with at the dealership), that's a pretty good indication the car is sold. Moreover, it is a direct and huge oversight not to inform someone of this when you know they are driving down 150km just to test drive a car.
The intention of this review is not to tarnish the reputation of this dealership, as the other staff were pleasant and helpful. If the car is sold, not a problem; that isn’t an issue. At least have some courtesy to let me know, or take ownership of your mistake after the fact.
I am solely writing this review based on my experience with John Shoulders. I am truly appalled by the lack of professionalism displayed by someone who is in a managerial position. If you outright abandon an appointment and choose not to write a simple follow up email, don't make it worse by blowing hot air and then denying that this incident is not a testament to your lack of customer service skills (and accountability).
I have a very high recommendation for this dealership and its team. I am a car salesman myself and I appreciated the simplicity involved in my recent dealings here, which is usually a very understated concept in the purchasing of a new car. I am from Calgary and made the drive down to Red Deer solely for the service I received before stepping into the dealership and that was justified when I got there to pick up my new GTI. John Shoulders is a good saleman. Even paced, to the point, and will work with you to get you what you want. Ryan Dandurand, stepped into the sale when it came to doing the final pricing very well and in a way that justified them as my dealership for where to purchase from. Being a car salesman myself, I cannot state enough how much of a difference it makes to a dealership when a GSM will get involved in the general doings of the dealership. Cyrena Flury, is a great choice for their business department. Engaging, yet to the point, and even though mine was a bit of a difficult finance to get done, she handled it with no drama, and in a very professional manner and got what I needed done.
Do yourself a favor and definitely drop buy this dealership if your in the market for a new or used vehicle.

I went to see Chris Carriere for a new car and I didn't care really what it was, as long as it was in my budget. He tailored my needs so well!
He put me into a 2013 tdi beetle in denim blue. I've never loved a car so much in my life. I wasn't pressured to buy it at all and he was so understanding. They fit my budget, I mean as a 18 year old, I don't make a whole bunch of money. However, Chris and Bernie made it happen. I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful service and especially my beautiful car.
