What I have experienced today is absolutely unacceptable! Toyota Vimont Laval gave me an appointment at 6.40 am for the regular inspection of my new car. I confirmed the appointment twice, by phone and by SMS message. When I came there at 6.40 am everything was closed. I waited for 20 minutes but nothing happened so I had to return home. A day before I asked their representative whether the hour was correct because it was early and he confirmed. I can't explain my frustration! I never expected it from this Toyota dealership. They don't just lost their client but they lost their LOYAL client. Definitely don't recommend DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

I had the worst experience with Vimont Toyota bought a car they made promises with they did not keep on the delivery day! The car was filthy inside the bumper was repainted badly! Safety inspection was done improperly! I had to deal with heat shield falling off and exhaust rattle not working light bulb and few other minor issues! The car was after delivery many days at the dealership! I did a safety inspection at another CAA recommended garage and there were many things listed like need battery replacement, tire dry rotten, AC needs service low on refrigerant, rear breaks rusted and lost goes on! I was told by my salesman Claude that the manager Francis will get in touch with me but it’s 10:30pm no one called me to far only empty promises! I have wasted lot of time and patience because of this!

I went to change tires and do the maintenance and seasonal washing.
When we signed the contract, Salesperson told us that there is a promotion, four storage and four tire changes. When you took possession of the car, they made a mistake and installed winter tires instead of summer tires. They have reinstalled the correct tires and Salesperson apologized and told us that it will not count as an installation, nor storage. We trusted them, we have no document that mentions it, neither the promotion, nor the error.I got a photo of the promo on the way out.
So last week the advisor told me that I had to pay for my storage and installation. I tried to explain to her what had happened, but she repeated several times that I don’t understand. I told her that I will pay, but it's a matter of principle. She went to find the manager, Mr. Marchand, who arrived frustrated and told me that he was the one who made the regulations on storage. He started yelling and telling me several times that he is the director and he makes the decisions and has nothing to do with the other departments. He didn't let me speak by telling me that I was interrupting him. I told him that I was going to pay to end it, but told me that I was looking for free things , he started comparing Mcdonald with Toyota service geez, on the contrary we are looking for good service and not free. Finally, he told me that he will put the tires in the car, and wait outside in the cold and never come back to the dealership.

It's not the customer's fault if your departments don't talk to each other and if Mr. Marchand is frustrated at having to work on a Saturday.

I didn't yell or do anything wrong to get me kicked out and talk that way. No respect for the customer.

My day and my weekend are wasted. I spoke to the salesperson same day, she suggested to send an email to Mr Mercier who replied after few days that I can call him and I wasn’t polite....

Well , either racism or they don’t want to feel guilty about their mistake.. They are unprofessional dealing with customer service, very rude at technical department after sales...

We have been transferred to a financial director, Dominic Levasseur, which was very unprofessionnal and kept making a presentation of the insurance options, but not asking me if I am interested before. He greatly insisted us to buy the insurance with Toyota and asked us why we would buy with other companies other than them which would cost more in his opinion. During the conversation, my dad was interested with TAG and saw a informative card on his presentation desk to took to read it on his desk presentation. Dominic asked my dad, in a tonation, to put back the informative card TAG because he didn't want my dad to steal his cards, by assuming that my dad is a thief.

When I refused every single option of insurance or additional options proposed by Dominic because I find then unnecessary in my opinion, he kept making unprofessionnal comments about how I am not able to add insurance or extras with the company while purchasing a car of 47 000$. He asked me why can I buy a car of 47 000$ if I can't even afford the extras. I could see his irritability on his face while making these comments as a judgement. Then, I explained politely that I didn't need additional options.

I felt the big pressure of him on my shoulders during this one-hour session, I felt obligated to buy the insurance and options that have been asked by him even if it was not mandatory.

At the end of the discussion, he told me that knowing my personality, it would be better that I look for the insurance informations at home by myself and whenever I am ready to speak to him, I could call him. Since when we can judge a client by his personality?

My first experience of buying a new car was very unsatisfied with the financial director. He was able to make me feel poor with only his words of judgement.

Called yesterday for appointment to have maintenance done on my SUV. Lady i spoke with was friendly and efficient. She gave me appointment for this morning. My representative at the service department was Roxanne Chaumont. She was fantastic. She understood everything i needed to be done to SUV. Kept me up to date on everything that was being done and needed to be done. A true professional and extremely polite and competent. Mechanic did a great job. Honest service, fair pricing. Benoit Marchand is the boss of the service department and all fixed operations. He runs a great department. Great team. Highly recommend.

This is concerning a very bad experience I had at Vimont Toyota. First of all, I had talked to my salesman Mr. Sebastian Panneton. He was very unprofessional with me and he had lied about everything we talked about. When I asked for an interest-rate for my new car, he said it was a 2.99% at $591/ month. After that, I went to another dealership and that person told me that they would give me the percentage at 4.49%.

That other dealership told me it was impossible to get the interest rate at 2.99% for the car I was interested in and that it must have been a misunderstanding with the Vimont Toyota dealership. So I went back to my original dealer at Vimont and asked him if we were still ok with the interest rate we had initially agreed on (2.99% at $591/month) and he agreed that yes we this was indeed the interest rate. This man lied directly to my face and was very dishonest with me. When I tried to get a straight answer from him he would change the subject and take the conversation elsewhere. Not only did the price change, but I was also told that the car was in stock, however, I ended up waiting 3 weeks for it which was a hug inconvenience to me. I felt that this man disrespected me and was very unprofessional of him. Toyota Vimont, if this is how you make your money by lying to your customers you will lose a lot of business and get bad reviews. When I brought up my dissatisfaction with Mr. Penneton, he told me we would arrange a meeting with myself, himself and the director Mr. Hugo Lallond to compensate me for my troubles. When we met up, it was a complete waste of time, and he did not try to resolve the issue at all. Therefore, I decided to post this to the public so that if you were thinking of buying a Toyota do not go to the Vimont Toyota. Do not give them your business. You will be lied to, disrespected and very dissapointed with their customer service, or lackthereof.

Terrible service from the second I walked in. Extremely sexist salesmen, I waited 45 minutes for a salesman who kept telling me he would be right with me and when my boyfriend walked in 2 salesmen came out to serve him immediately. They spoke only to him the entire time, even though the car was for me. The finance director is disorganized, she confirmed the incorrect interest rate and booked my appointment to pick up the car at a different time than she confirmed with me. I received a phone call from someone at the dealership and they asked if it was a good time to talk, I replied that unfortunately not at the moment and they just hung up. I suggest going anywhere else!

UPDATE: The Dealership contacted me after I wrote the review. They had no problem with me bringing a mechanic in to see the car. They said they were understaffed and the manager told me to call him directly so we can set up the time to see the car. He thought my review was a little harsh and didn't deserve a one star rating.I will therefore change the rating to a three star for responding to my review quicker than the regular email contact and voicemails I left.
Beware this dealership. First time I encountered a Dealer that did not want to sell me a car. This last weekend, drove 45 min to see a used vehicle. Told sales guy I was interested. After leaving I left a voicemail asking to bring my mechanic on the Monday to see car. 3 hours later no answer. call at 4:00 pm. Sales guy says he call back. No response for rest of the night. Left email to dealer, still no response. Tell me, why would a dealership not want to sell to someone who is interested in buying a car unless they are hiding something?

This was my first time shopping for a car. I gave a 500$ deposit by phone, since I was out of town when I called to know if they had a Prius C used for sale. I felt pressured to give a deposit as the sales clerk told me she couldnt guarantee the car would still be there on the next day. She reassured me that I could easily get my money back if I changed my mind. The next day, when I visited the dealer, I did change my mind. When I asked my sale clerk to give back my deposit, he said "no problem, I'll be back in a few minutes". He came back with his director. His director was polite, but really "pushy" towards me. I felt pressured and powerless. At the end of the conversation, I almost felt like a child being scolded. I couldnt even speak my mind, thats how powerless I felt. He didnt seem to accept the fact that I would leave without buying the car. All I could say was that I needed time to think about it and that I would get back to them later in the afternoon. All I really wanted was to leave that place, get some fresh air and get my money back.

When I left the dealer, I was shocked. This wasnt the experience I was hoping to get when buying my first car. I called them later that afternoon, thinking that at least I wouldnt have to see them again. I couldnt reach my sale clerk, even though I tried 3 times. The receptionist told me I couldnt get my deposit back without coming at the dealership between monday and friday before 2 pm. Again I was shocked, they never mentionned that when I gave the deposit. They made it sound like it was easy and that I could get it back whenever I wanted to. I told them it was impossible for me to be there on week days before 2 pm. She then told me they would mail me my money by the post on the next week. I don't understand that procedure and I am worried I will not get my money back. I talked to other Toyota dealers in Montréal and they told me this is not a correct procedure and that I should write a complaint about this issue.

Not only I am worried about not getting my money back, but I also feel like this was a really bad experience and I would feel sorry if someone else had to go through something like that.

If you read this I would recommend you do not give Vimont Toyota any deposit, I would also like to tell you that they pressure the customers to buy and this was a really bad experience for me.

After visiting many car shops i went there because it was close to me place. But after reading the reviews I had to admit they are true. The staff is dedicated, honest and not pushy. They assist you as soon as you enter and fill you windshield liquid for free. The waiting room is clean and offers free wifi. You can have a hot beverage, water or a snack while waiting for you car.
