I have a VERY serious complaint with this dealership... They chose to ignore my emails, phone call etc for 3 weeks. Eventually got a call, only to be called a liar. Went with Toyota for their service reputation apparently concerns about fraudulent service charges are OK with them. My tip... Go to Mazda, or Ford, in fact go anywhere but Sunrise Toyota Orillia! (I didn't want to give any stars, but it was required)

Alex K and the team were great to deal with. He stayed after hours to accomodate my dog and I when looking at vehicles. Everything was prepared for me based off of what I requested via phone call during our initial meet.
He kept me up to date throughout the week while I was waiting for my new vehicle to arrive.
The whole process was well planned out, detail orientated, and went very smooth leaving me with no stress, and confidence in my new vehicle. He even followed up with me a few days after I picked up the car, to ensure I was happy with the vehicle.

Bought a 2021 RAV4 a few weeks ago. Love the vehicle. It's beautiful and has a very nice ride. I needed something bigger to put my tools in for work and the salesperson, Mandi, really helped me out. She knew exactly what I needed and helped me get it quickly. With this whole covid thing going on, I was really worried about getting a new vehicle. She made it very easy. Great customer service all around, each staff member treated me like I was family. It was very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

I bought a Toyota in 2016 and have been to a few different Toyota locations since. At this location, Mark in service really portrays what it means to go above and beyond. You can really tell this man cares about his job. It is because of him that we continue to have our services completed in Orillia. He is consistent, friendly, upbeat, efficient and most importantly knowledgeable. He always looks out for the customer’s best interest. I definitely trust leaving our vehicle in his hands. Id strongly recommand to anyone looking at purchasing a toyota vehicle to look at other brands. 3 years/60 000k, paint warranty. this is what my 3 year 10 month old trucks looks like. Meanwhile ford, chrystler, GM have 5+ year. This a been an ungoing issue for years with Tundras and this how the dealer responsed. Stay away Toyota unless you want to be servised like below. We live in canada where trucks and vehicle face hard conditions and apparently they don't care to keep their customer happy.

I’d recommend anyone looking at buying a Toyota Tundra to hold off until they have better customer service post sales. I purchased a Toyota Tundra in late 2016 and the paint is Peeling off on the rocker panel. 3yr /60k warranty on paint. Beware, a long lasting truck as they claim don’t last so long when it’s rusted. Ford is 5 year unlimited km, Dodge is 5 years 100k.

Just be aware that you will have issues and this is how this dealership helps you after bringing your vehicles there for everything else when needed of service.

The bug deflector at the front of the moon roof was lost in the wind. Can’t be replaced as it is part of a 4800 roof assembly. This is maybe a 200 dollar mesh and spring brace system. Now the wind noise will be for all time. Was told to go to a glass dealer.

Anything after that, well you're completely on your own.
They do not care about you.

Bought a 2019 RAV4 Trail in November 2019. Paul (Sales) was excellent, and delivered on the agreements he made. A small hiccup occured with some rust plugs not being installed prior to delivery, but was resolved by calling Nathan (sales mgr). Overall, they were responsive and got me the car is wanted, with a rapid turnaround that included winter tires install and tint essentially in 24 hours time.

The car was bought for bad weather driving, and handles exceptionally in rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain just as promised. It is comfortable, and drives well. It has multiple drive settings (Eco, Normal, and Sport) as well as beneficial settings such as hill support, mud and sand settings. I'd say the car is fantastic with one major exception: Entune and Scout GPS. Both were touted as features, and that they are not. Scout is terribly slow and inaccurate (often positions me 10+ minutes from where I am, and is very slow to respond to rerouting when needed). Entune is also slow, buggy, and provides inaccurate info (the audio screen often shows the name of the first song, and then doesn't change unless my phone is disconnected or the car is restarted). The multimedia system is crippled by these 2 poorly developed softwares. I am admittedly disappointed by the technology considering the rest of the car is very modern; so much so I have deleted both apps and just use android auto and have mounted my phone in the car.

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Brought my car into have its 18 months appointment. Out of pure laziness they didn't bother to check my tires (even though rotation OR proper snow tire installation is included) They didn't tell me they skipped that part nor did I receive any money off of my service for them cutting corners.
When I called them to ask about this because i noticed that the alignment and/or balance was off, the extremely rude "customer service" person in the service department condescendingly told me that OF COURSE they didn't touch my tires because they noticed I already had snow tires installed and proceeded to tell me that its wasn't their problem because they didn't even work on my tires (even though it should have been properly done within the included price. the only difference is that the tires were on the car and not in the backseat). Seeing the futility of continuing the conversation, I said "goodbye" and hung up.
Not 5 minutes later I received a call/voicemail from the same individual. First to complain about how rude I was to end the conversation before SHE was done and then came a sales pitch to try to get me to pay for additional services.
My wife went in the next day in person to see if talking to a different, more tactful individual would resolve the issue. Unfortunately she ended up with the same person initially who AGAIN made a point of complaining about how rude i was to end the conversation the night before without hearing the sales pitch.
When she finally was able to talk to the MANAGER, she was subjected to a lengthy mansplaining session culminating with him refusing to clarify any further and with him literally saying she "should get [her] husband, because he will understand the situation"
Never going back there again and I would recommend you do not as well.
*EDIT* I think the owners response is representative of the overall failings of this establishment. They did not directly address the majority of issues I have brought up. They mention a tire rotation I received in the summer with my summer tires (relevance?) and then proceed to blame the customer for their staff cutting corners, saying that I declined to have the service that should have been provided (I did not). Its easy to say basically "not our work, not our problem" when you fail to do the work that should be included (proper winter tire installation). Like I said in my original response, I feel that there is little difference in having winter tires that you have to swap over versus winter tires that are already on the car. The only difference in my opinion is the lack of due diligence and that should seriously worry anybody who needs to go in for any inspection of major components in which due diligence is paramount.

I would especially like to thank Matt who helped me through everything. He has a wonderful, helpful personality. He sat with me and figured out different options I had. I also decided last minute I’d like the car tinted, and he made it happen, even called me to confirm on his day off. Now that’s service!

Our family of 5 arrived at Sunrise Toyota this week with a failing hybrid system on our Hylander and a trailer load of boats and camping gear.
It was late in the day but the service team went to work on diagnosing the issue. April and Charlton were extremely accommodating,
providing a courtesy car and a place to safely store our trailer and gear for the night. Their honesty with respect to time frames for
parts and repairs was also greatly appreciated. We do not live in the Orillia area but we would highly recommend using this service department.

I have a 2017 Tacoma from Sunrise. Took it in for scheduled service at 30K and it came back with the AC non-functional. That was 3 weeks ago and the service department has no idea when they can fix it. Good thing it's 30C outside! :(
No loaner, no nothing. Just be patient they tell me. Might as well have bought a Chrysler. Somehow I thought my $600/month payment was worth something.
Been driving Toyota for more than 20 years... this one is #6. It will also be the last one.

Just wished over all these years someone would actually call you back. You leave messages and no one returns calls EVER! Five years no returned calls! Glad my lease is done so I could be done with you! They only care about you if your looking to get into a car! Customer service obviously ends once you roll out the door.

I was a little hesitant to go because the service receptionist wasn’t very friendly on the phone but I needed to get the car dealt with so I went. To my surprise I was extremely happy with the service I received. A gentleman named Mark greeted me in the service bay and was so friendly and welcoming. He listened to my issues and got me all check in. I had to wait there for my repairs so when I asked if there was a chair I could sit in he immediately escorted to the lounge. He didn’t point or try to give me directions he stopped what he was doing and took me there. I was delighted and it made me feel so welcome and that they appreciated my business. After a little while Mark came to me and explained what was going on with my vehicle and what was required so we agreed to go ahead. I loved that he took the time to explain everything and that he came to me because I was in the middle of feeding my baby. The best part was I didn’t have to wait hours!!! It was fantastic. Mark even kept my car in the bay so I could load my baby in the warmth instead of having to go out into the snowy blizzard that was starting. I can’t thank him enough for his wonderful customer service and the prompt quality service of the mechanics. I will defiantly go back and definitely recommend them. Thank you Mark for making this experience a great one!!!

A lot of times, you can judge the quality of service by a phone call. A few weeks ago, I had to deal with these guys when I was purchasing my car. A salesman I was dealing with at the time used to work at this dealership. Since Toyota Financial wouldn't fax payouts to non-Toyota dealership, the salesman advised me to contact Sunrise Toyota to ask them to fax my payout over. However, when I was calling Sunrise Toyota, the salesman who picked up the phone was very rude. I kept it professional and remained polite. At one point, he hung up on me. The second time I called, Toyota Financial was with me on the phone (I set up a conference call); even though Toyota Financial representative asked him, he kept being irrational and hung up the phone on us, again.
So, I picked up the phone again and decided to try another Toyota dealership in Barrie, instead of the dealership-salesman-recommended Sunrise Toyota. The next Toyota dealership I phoned was Jackson's Toyota Scion (in Barrie). Their service was completely different from what I have experienced before. I had the payout immediately faxed over to the dealership I was dealing with. If I was in the market for a new Toyota/Lexus/Scion vehicle, I would not visit this dealership because I know that I would have a high chance of being treated like a potential car thief instead of a potential, valued customer.

If you are going to visit this dealership, I highly recommend that you keep your senses keen. Good customer service, is not just for potential buyers. Sunrise Toyota, you have demonstrated very poor customer service during my two phone calls. And I was extremely disappointed.

I, will never deal with this dealership in my life because of this experience.

Best Toyota Dealership around for Service and to purchase a new or Used Toyota.I travel to Toronto everyday and bring my Toyota Corolla about once a month for service. Every time my Corolla needs something they tell me items that need to be done today or items that can be left for a little bit.No sense spending money if they are in working condition. I have never been disappointed or left feeling that I have been ripped off. The staff is really nice and are a pleasure to deal with. It will be really hard to purchase anything but Toyota because of the exceptional service I get at Sunrise Toyota in Orillia
