We recently had a serious problem with our traded in leased vehicle at another dealer here in Ottawa. (Weeks had gone by and they did not pay out the lease on our trade in as agreed.
Brian went out of his way to help us with good advice and even contacted the Ottawa dealer for no other reason other than to help a customer in a difficult bind. (Nothing in it for them as we are now living in Ottawa, not Huntsville area.)
We got an almost immediate resolution from the Ottawa dealer after trying for weeks to get a response. Very impressed that we received this help when there was obviously no vested interest on the part of Festing Toyota or Brian.

Nobody is perfect ...however after my wife's (Susan Schalburg) Highlander 3 years ago started making noise in the front, indicating it was either a strut or bushing. 3 other dealerships said nothing wrong !!?? Wife took it to Festing for Oil change ...mentioned the the noise. they investigated and found it was indeed a strut and also ensure it was put through warranty as it was reported prior. Festing listened and did the right thing. Will use Festing from now on. Thank you

Service was terrible. They were to wipe the error code and fix the O2 sensor error. Instead, they held the car for the entire day, and gave it back at the end of the day with no error code showing (421 + tax). As soon as I turned it off and on the error code came back. The response - "Oh it is a ladder process - bring it back and we will continue working." No offer for any help.
I was offered no updates in the service centre. I eventually asked 3 times for service. They knew I was coming from seguin (1 hour away) and there was no offer for a loaner vehicle. Instead, after an hour, I was offered a ride downtown. This despite the dealership being empty. (Supply issues mean there are very few cars or trucks for sale).
I followed up the next day and had the same response - Final statement - "You have your story and we have ours."
I still want the car fixed but do not believe after this experience that I can trust this dealership. I am instituting a chargeback - Wish me luck.

They will return your calls and keep you updated on the ETA of your vehicle! They also won't sell you a vehicle that is sold out! I know that sounds like the bare minimum but I've dealt with over 5 dealerships in the last few months and this is the only one I can say will actually take care of their customers. They will also go above and beyond to get you into a vehicle as quickly as possible! I live 4 hours away from them and couldn't be happier with my decision!

The service department took advantage of me.

My car got some battery trouble closer to Huntsville and towed to there and they said they will be able to get the part next day and fix it and quoted $1100+ and when I called my local Toyota dealership, they quote $780+…

The service department guy told me after I told him the price difference that they had three different price of the parts that need to be installed and they got me the best one and it’s a little expensive but they said they were going to install it without any extra charge and it was a clear lie and if they had three different prices they should have told me when they mentioned about the quote.

Also the mechanic was incompetent to finish the job as he took 7+ houses when this could have been 4 hours.

I feel like they took advantage of me due to the fact of my vehicle broken down closer to it.

I would not recommend their service if you want to save money and get some honest service.

Outstanding experience! Just wanted to share and thank the team at Festing Toyota for the incredible service we received recently. My wife and I were travelling and had some tire concerns. The vehicle had a slight wobble, and decided to get it looked at before continuing our drive. We pulled into Festing, but the service department was already closed. We asked the sales department for advice on the severity of our concern, and wouldn’t you know it, the business manager had 10 years experience on a NASCAR pit crew. WOW! They immediately sprang into action to help address our concerns with a torque wrench and an impact. In the blink of an eye (literally) we were on our way without concern. Blew us away! Such a great experience, we felt the need to share. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Thanks Brian and Mark for everything.

I brought a 2018 Rav4 in today to get the brakes checked. After a road test and a visual inspection, the service person showed me the report (printer issues prevented getting a copy). She got the parts ordered and booked me in for the repairs and I was on my way. Open on time, lots of smiles from the staff, and efficient service. All in all, a superior customer experience. And the coffee was fresh!

Covid19 makes it extremely difficult for seniors with the uncertain appointment times, no shuttle service and waiting outdoors for safety; however, the staff is so friendly, accommodating to the limits of the health rules, efficient with repairs that Festings is highly reccomended. They try to do repairs reasonably and contact you if the only option is a total replacement part. 2 thumbs up.

Horrible customer service. Extreme wait times for simplest of service work: oil change and wheels on rims swap - seasonal. The one mechanic was very rude, ignorant and seemed like it was a major hassle to work on my vehicle. He tracked his muddy boots in my brand new truck and made a big mess. The other mechanic, Alan I believe his name is, was excellent but I still waited over 1.5 hours for basic work and I was supposed to be first vehicle of the day. After waiting 40ish minutes prior to the garage opening I then see other vehicles already on the lifts ready to be worked on when I'm supposed to have the first appointment and booked that over a month in advance.
Three trips here and not once was I happy or impressed. I won't be back as I'm not wasting my time waiting for literally nothing ever again.

This dealer does not follow Toyota procedure for servicing. My Tacoma has a specific list of things that need to be done at each interval and it’s supposed to be factored into the entire price

I’ve had my regular services done at 4 other Toyota dealers which all follow the interval checks..

This dealer charges per item on the list...

$30 to grease my driveshaft?

$30 to check the torque on 2 bolts?

I think I’ll be driving to a Orillia where they do it right and for much cheaper...

Oil change and tire rotation on my vehicle was competitively priced. I was very pleased that the whole dealership was kind and helpful with my questions and went out of their way to make myself, and my 2 dogs feel comfortable.

Bad customer service and shady sales tactics. I agreed to look at a Rav after some preliminary price negotiating (600$) cheaper then listed. Drive 2 hours to see the vehicle.... Rear shocks are clearly broken on test drive. I bring this up with Mark who was helping me. Apparently after checking with service they have to record of anything wrong with the shocks. I informed him the shocks were definitely gone and we could go for a drive to confirm. He says he's already "given away" the vehicle at that price and theres nothing he can do.... Give me a break it was 600$ off of 20k... Clearly not giving away the vehicle just thinking he can pull one over on someone who wouldn't notice I guess. Not sure how you can safety a used vehicle with blown shocks.... He wasn't interested at all in discussing it and was more interested in helping another lady with a new vehicle...

My husband took his 2010 Tacma in for a Ac diagnosis as the Ac had quit working. After paying $100 for the diagnosis he was told it could be the AC clutch $1000 to replace or it could be the AC compressor $1700 to replace. Since my husband is pretty mechanical he went looking . Turned out it was the clutch . He was pretty sure the mechanic never even looked under the truck at the compressor as the front skid pan bolts were untouched. He wnent on line and bought a compressor clutch from the US for $210 delivered to our door. I hour later the AC was blowing cold air. Toyota quoted 3.5 hours to do this job. Needless to say we are not impressed with Festings service department!

Not the most helpful dealership. I asked to have my 2016 Tacoma's Transmission checked for low fluid because a lot of them are coming from the factory with low fluid levels. The "U" joints were dry and NOT lubed during the PDI.. Neither were the Diffs checked... I just wanted a fluid level check because I do not want to destroy my tranny... No Go... I've got to pay big money for it on a truck that's only got 3,000 kms on it. My Blind Spot Monitoring system is not working but I'm not comfortable taking it in to Festing as they seem to not care at all... If I need warranty work, I'll go elsewhere..!! I have bought 4 Vehicles there in the last 10 years ($110,000 )..They will not check my tranny.
