I know that many have bad experiences when buying a car but my recent experience at Collingwood Toyota was a very positive one. Ted Rush was the rep who looked after us and he was great... no pressure, no 'selling', but rather lots of help, lots of advice, lots of factual information. We bought a RAV4 Hybrid XLE and Ted was able to get the Ruby Flare coloured one we wanted. We took deliver a couple of weeks later and absolutely LOVE this car. I have had a few new cars before and 'liked' them, but this one I just 'love'.
After a brief experience elsewhere, I returned to buy another Toyota from Collingwood Toyota, and finally appreciate how good this dealership is. Both the sales and service experiences are fair, honest and respectful, and I feel like I got a pretty good deal besides. Bonus points for the thorough and confidence-inspiring COVID safety measures.

Amazing purchase experience at Collingwood Toyota, my product advisor (expert) was Ted Rush. I spoke with him over the phone in hopes of sourcing a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road, as I could not find any locally in the GTA. He was able to dealer trade for one in no time. When I made the trip up to the dealership, I was very impressed by the Covid policy and procedures. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I did not feel any pressure, Ted was very helpful in the breakdown of costs, different options etc. Ted also introduced me to the service management team Heidi and Dean, both very pleasant and would not hesitate to have this dealership service my vehicle. From being greeted by reception to delivery, the whole process has been great. I was given a VERY in depth walkaround of the vehicle and explained how to use the many features of the Tacoma. I was quoted $1320 to replace the clutch on my car. When I went to pick it up price went to $3800. They blocked in my car with there vehicles. I had to call the police and the took $800 off the bill. Pretty big scam watch out for these scam artists.

I was in need of a set of wipers. I had a 3+ hour drive home with a horrible forecast predicted. It was also about -20C. So, I just droped in. Denis at customer service popped them off in the parking lot, installed new inserts and reinstalled. All in less than 20 minutes!! Totally awesome customer service. Definitely recommend this location.

I was extremely unhappy with the way I was treated at the Owen Sound Toyota dealership so decided to look into other dealerships in the area. Collingwood Toyota was a completely different experience!! Nancy Carlucci was amazing to deal with!! She was very professional, answered all my questions in a pleasant yet knowledgeable way and was overall the complete opposite of the stereotypical abrasive, pushy car salesperson that make people dread buying a car. The dealership itself has a very laid back, welcoming feel. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly. C-HR. This is the 3rd vehicle that I have purchased from Collingwood Toyota since 2010. I have dealt with Ed Akitt on all 3 vehicles and its been a great experience from the start. He has turned into a friend more than car sales man. I would recommend talking to Ed if you are looking to purchasing a new Toyota. He will not steer you wrong. Everyone at Collingwood Toyota are friendly and great to deal with.
After a less than stellar experience with my local Toyota dealer (twice, and awful would be a better description) I discovered Collingwood Toyota. Not only did Shane and Vicki answer every question I had they were friendly, honest and genuinely cared about my inquiries.
I wasn't pressured or misled, and was given all the facts. I probably sent about 25 emails and every single one was answered promptly, accurately and in a friendly manner. When it came time to negotiate, it was painless and I was happy with the discount.
That led me to commit to purchase despite being almost two hours away from my home. I was told my rare model would take a few months as there was limited allocation. Low and behold Shane located one, in all of Ontario and made arrangements to have it brought in for me. All within a couple weeks! Vicki in finance provided all required info and again answered all my questions. They both were genuinely pleased I made a purchase and treated me like a old friend.
Overall the best experience for a major purchase I have ever made and I wouldn't hesitate to go back or refer a family or friend. Keep up the awesome work Collingwood Toyota!!
I cant say anything about the sales department, as I had no dealings with then.
However, wated over a year for a part on a recall. Then when the part came in, they scheduled an appointment at 10:30am to get the part installed. I showed up at my scheduled appointment time. It was only supposed to take 30 min, they told me they were busy. I had to wait over an hour and a half. Then they finally told me that I could use the shuttle to go home cause the mechanics were going for lunch. Then, finally at 2:15pm they called me to come pick it up. Had to wait for the shuttle, that's no problem though, I get travel time. By the time I got my Van back I had wasted the entire day. For only what I can assume was mechanics not getting as much money to do recall work, si they don't want to do it.
I was told all this was because of people on vacation. Then manage your people better.
Absolute junk service. Will never have a car serviced here again!!!
My father bought his Toyota Tundra from here, it's been about a year or so without any issues, he was happy with the sales process and got a good deal on the vehicle he wanted. Shane did a great job with the sales and delivery of the vehicle.
