I bought a 2008 Jeep Patriot from McPhillips Toyota on January 5, 2019. I drove the Jeep for five months and approximately 5,000 kilometers. On July 3rd, I parked it, when I returned, my Jeep would not start. A mechanic had found fire extinguisher residue in the engine bay, the dealership failed to mention a prior fire in the engine bay. I had the Jeep towed to a Chrysler dealership where a further two hour diagnostic test was performed. After the diagnostic check, I was informed that the problem was with the relay block and wiring harness and that the computer could not be read without repair. The problem was described as multiple wires cut up, mixed up, improperly spliced with heat resistance and that the possibility existed that some cables may be missing from the wiring harness. The wiring harness condition was so bad that it was unrepairable. It would cost $1,000 dollars just for the part, and that would not even guarantee the vehicle would start after. The Chrysler dealership recommended we call MPI to look into the possibility of vandalism. The MPI adjuster concluded the damage was not due to vandalism. The adjuster told me that someone previously worked on the Jeep and did a very poor job. I went to McPhillips Toyota with my mother and father and asked to speak with a sales representative about the condition of the Jeeps wiring harness and relay block. First, the salesperson argued that the dealership never did a safety inspection on the vehicle and the vehicle was sold “as is,” but, when we showed him the documents showing that McPhillips, indeed, did do a safety inspection on the Jeep, he said he would try to do something to help me out with this situation. I have met with a manager who had the Jeep towed to mcphillips Toyota and made it sound like they would try to repair the damage or see if they could help in some other way. Their only offer was to sell me another car around the $ 8,000 dollar range. I was 18 at the time I purchased the vehicle, going to university full time and working two jobs.
I am really happy with my new car. Sales representative Maureen, was extremely helpful. I do recommend her as a sales representative and she went out of her way to make sure that we were happy customers. I highly recommend seeing her for anything that you need at Toyota McPhillips. Went there with my hybrid and they charged me $52 to check the condition of 12v battery and said it's working good. Got that bettery replaced from a local garage after few days as that battery was causing the issue.
What a waste of money. They are just interested in grabbing money and not fixing the issue.
Sales representative by the name of Maureen, was extremely pushy about me doing a review. All she wanted me to do was give her five stars and didn’t really care to help me with the issues on my new vehicle. I do not recommend her as a sales representative. But on the other hand Messiah Batiste he was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure that we were happy customers. Do not go there if you value your time. They had a vehicle that I'd been searching for, and because I wanted to jump on the opportunity before it was purchased by someone else I had to bring my small children with me. Because of this I had contacted the dealership ahead of time to make an appointment so they were expecting me. When I got there, there was no one to see me, the car was not pulled up and within half an hour of waiting I had to ask multiple people if I could even see the car I had an appointment to view. The sales woman I ended up with knew very little about this car and then actually asked me if I was ready to purchase. I wanted the car, had the money, but would never give it to them.
This is our 3rd Camry and 4th purchase with McPhillips Toyota, we were dealing with Oscar before but got the chance to meet Tim as well. All of our questions and needs were answered very well and as usual we have received the best purchase experience once again.

Won't recommend this dealership. If i can only give negative rating(atleast i can give negative feedback) and return the vehicle, i will!!! Beware! I bought a used vehicle, right after the night when the ac was turned off, found out that there was a musty smell coming out of the vents. Fell on a long weekend. As soon as the dealership opened, I called and told the manager and sales administrator about the issue, they checked it but was told they didn't smell anything. Few days i called again and told the sales manager i will give negative feedback if they don't do anything on it. The manager insisted that they didn't smell anything wherein the service administrator already concluded of the mildew and treated with mildew sprays 2x which still didn't work. I asked for the next step and was told that i needed to pay for the repair or treatment if i want to pursue. They even manipulated the invoice repair saying that they only put air freshener instead of the mildew treatment spray.
It doesn't matter if people buy new or used vehicles in your company, they invested a lot of money and trusted you!

I purchased a used truck from here. Which failed safety inspection in another province. The service inspection performed at their location has no mention of the issue I am seeing at another location days later. I called McPhillips and the sales manager told me they won't do anything for me. I strongly recommend not purchasing from this dealership, if a deal looks too good to be try it is because it likely is.

As I stated in my first response. I have already spoke with the manager prior to leaving my review. I was told there would be nothing done. Tires have already been replaced $1000 cost to me. An unexpected fee after receiving my vehicle. McPhillips Toyota has made it perfectly clear that they don't feel responsible for this in anyway. The exact statement from the follow up email from the salesperson "Please remember that at our dealership your satisfaction is our number one priority.", this is clearly not the case! This dealership demonstrated the slimy nature we're all warned about with regard to used car sales. They are paying lip service response here and clearly feel that selling the vehicle with cracked tires and not mentioning this in their inspection is a common practice they are OK conducting.
Scott P was very knowledgeable with the tundra I purchased and polite. The vehicle was delivered when they said it would be and everything was as expected.
This is my 6th Toyota from this dealership and recommend them to all my friends and colleagues.

We just purchased a Brand New Toyota Corolla from Mcphillips Toyota. We are so happy with our new car purchase. This is the third Toyota car that we have purchased in the last 17 years. Toyota vehicles are so reliable. Logan Blade our salesman was very helpful allowing us ample time to make a decision regarding our purchase in a none pressure situation.We took several models out for test drives and Logan was able to point out the features of all vehices we drove and if he didn't know a particlar feature,made the effort to find out and inform us.Paul also made an effort to come talk to us both before and after the deal was done.We found the staff to be courteous, knowledgeable and informative all in a nonpressure environment.Would definately recommend to others.
