Absolutely horrendous service. A relative of mine visited this establishment this morning to pick up one of our cars which was dropped off last night for service. Firstly, allow me to comment on the horrible and atrocious representation of the company made by the receptionists - they left my relative hanging for roughly five minutes, unattended to. She was waiting to be served by one of the receptionists while one worker was on the phone, ignoring her presence, while the other watched from a break room, staring at her and not taking the initiative required as a service worker to help her out. My relative was waiting patiently for five minutes, unspoken to; the least they could've done was to simply tell her to "Wait a moment" or to redirect her to an available representative, however, they did not do that and thus failed on that part of their job. Next, after the five minutes my relative waited for, when the second receptionist finished her "break", she sat down at her computer and had to wait for my relative to initiate a conversation. My relative was treated horribly by these receptionists, thus prompting this negative review. Collectively, we would like to comment on the professionalism of these workers and how this could be improved upon. Receptionists are meant to provide helpful service and their actions reflects directly on the company. This goes not to say that the service done on our vehicle was poor - in fact, the service on our vehicle was executed exceptionally by Service Advisor Derek (thanks Derek!) - this only goes to say that the behavior and mannerisms of the aforementioned receptionists working today could definitely be improved on. Overall, great repair service, extremely disappointing social contact.

I had visited some other dealerships and when I came to Heninger it immediately had a different feel. The sales staff were casual and not pushy. Everyone was very friendly. I didn't feel rushed and Steve Chan answered every question I had. I had Lee Serban in finance completing the financing for me. Both Steve and Lee was amazing to deal with. I also had a good experience with the service department. Kevin gave me a superb and detailed explanation as to what needed to be done and also kept me informed with the status of my car. The service department itself is very accommodating and nicely located. They offered shuttle service, transit tickets, and even a very nice space to wait. I opted for transit, which was only a few minutes walk away.

2 years later and I still remember the bad experience I've had with Heninger Toyota's Financial Representative. I'll never go here to buy a car. Ever. Be warned if you're considering getting a car from here. Go get it from somewhere else.
I contacted Heninger Toyota asking specifically if they work with Canada Drives, to which the respondent said "Yes" in an e-mail (which I can substantiate). I came in having the impression that they have an idea of what Canada Drives is and why I'm asking if Heninger Toyota works with them. I don't have good credit and I was taking a look around to see how I can get a safer car for my daughter. I was made to meet their Finance person and chatted with her. I told her my situation and it seemed to annoy her with what I was asking for. That's subjective though so that doesn't count. But after reading me my credit situation (all of which I already know) while saying multiple times that my credit is "killing her" (her exact words were "Your credit is killing me."), I felt devalued. I told her to cancel my application. Not everyone has good credit. Some are just looking to be in a better state. I'm just looking to find a car that's safe to drive my daughter around in. Sometimes people need a little faith. You don't know what people are going through. But I guess it's all about the money and the sale. That's what it seemed like for me. Maybe next time, when someone who can't qualify for a car loan comes into your office trying to get a car, try to politely say they don't qualify instead of saying their credit score is "killing you".
I was looking for a car for my son and remembered how great Heninger Toyota had been in the past (this is the 3rd car we've bought there), so we dropped in and were not disappointed. I recently purchased a 2019 Highlander from this location and worked with Justin for the purchase. Heninger Toyota is quite a ways out of the way for me, but the follow up on my questions, the willingness to respond at late hours, and right amount of guidance during the process (without being pushy) was excellent. I'm giving Heninger Toyota 5 stars. Not just because I think the car I got is great (even though it is) or because of the prices or anything you look for in a dealership, but because of the customer service that was brought to the table was phenomenal. This was the first time my husband and I bought a car together and the process was a breeze. I have to mention though that Patrick and Lee are such amazing people and great people to work with. Patrick was just so honest and kind. Usually salesman will bombard you with their sales, no not here. Patrick was upfront with everything. Gives you that real authentic trust in a person. Not to mention he went out of his way to drive all the way to the north to get a car starter from the previous owners. Lee also is a great guy! We haven’t bought a new car in a very long time and quite frankly, we weren’t looking forward to the experience of shopping around for a vehicle. We had done our research on what vehicle we wanted and had decided on a Toyota Tacoma. We ended up being connected with Theresa Bishop from Heninger Toyota and she was great. She stayed in contact with us without being overwhelming and helped us out through the purchasing process. She worked with us to find something that worked with our budget and wasn’t pushy. When the truck arrived at the dealership, she was very thorough with going through all the details of the vehicle and even marked pages in our owner’s manual that she thought would be helpful for us. A great experience with Randal McDonald. I purchased a Toyota Sienna and Randal was professional, responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. He kept me informed throughout, made negotiating the purchase price pleasant and carefully walked me though the features of the new vehicle.
I was very pleased with the entire experience and the rest of the staff at Heninger (Elaine and Taylor) were great as well.
I was particularly pleased that as a purchaser of a minivan, Randal was able to work around my schedule and take care of all my questions over the phone or by text - he worked hard to taylor the experience to fit my needs. Randal also followed up with me a few days after pickup to see how I was enjoying my van and with a few helpful YouTube videos on how to program the more complex features.
Randal was also very helpful in having my trade in appraised. I was cynical that I would be offered a fair price - I was surprised and impressed by the honest and transparent approach used by Randal. I was offered a very reasonable price for my trade which I was thrilled with.
All in all, 5 star buying experience. There is a reason Heninger's ratings are high when other dealers aren't - its people like Randal that make purchasing a new vehicle the great experience customers want it to be.
As a 2008 Corolla owner I was contacted by Toyota to come down to their new 2014 sale in mid-August. I went down to Heninger to see the line-up of new cars and eventually went with a new 2014 Corolla LE. I found the car has a very smooth ride, seems to sit higher and is roomier than my previous 2008 Corolla. Of course, the updated 2014 features and sound system are nice as well . Of particular importance is the professional, timely and excellent customer service I received from Randal McDonald who dealt with me on my new Corolla LE. I found Randal to be the consummate professional and went through the details of the car in a straight forward manner, had excellent knowledge of the product and provided good examples of the pros and cons of the different packages. Randal took the time to answer my questions and I never felt rushed or hurried. On the service side, when the car was picked up, Randal took a great amount of time to go through the workings and features particularly setting up the i phone and settings. Randal was professional from the beginning to the end of the process and kept me regularly informed. I would highly recommend dealing with Randal! Thanks again Randal!
