I've been dreaming of owning a Subaru Ascent since they launched a few years ago. So when I decided to finally put this plan into action earlier this month, the amazing service from Downtown Subaru did not disappoint. I wasn't sure what to expect during the strange new world of social distancing and COVID restrictions, but the sales experience led by Melissa Yiu was seamless. I had done a lot of research online prior to reaching out to the dealership, so what I was looking for were some actual vehicles available on the lot in addition to financing options. Melissa created charts that really made it easy to compare the options side-by-side, and she wasn't phased by my thorough list of questions. We did almost everything by email, which helped around my busy schedule. The only time I needed to go into the dealership was to do a test drive and pick up my car! The car itself is absolutely fabulous for my large family (the three rows was the biggest selling point for me!) and I feel comforted by all the safety features that my Subaru comes equipped with. The only thing I've been asking myself is why did I take this long to do this?!

Buying my car at Downtown Subaru is one of the simplest, most fulfilling car purchases I have ever made.

This is all because of Olivia Monisse, a salesperson there and the most client-friendly person I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Due to COVID-19 production delays, as well as shipping delays, getting the car I wanted was becoming impossible, with many other dealers refusing to negotiate or even meet with me.

With Olivia, the negotiation was fast, reasonable, and fair. Once the purchase was made, she made sure to keep me in the loop on the whereabouts of my car and any issues. I really appreciate the care and time she took to inform me of any delays, including reasons why and how they would try to mitigate further delays. In the end, she even had to drive to another dealership to pick the car up and bring it back to Downtown Subaru for me.

The consummate professional, I would highly recommend Olivia for any of your Subaru purchases. Energetic, highly-knowledgeable, and a pleasure to speak with, she made what could have been a troublesome purchase into an absolute delight.

I am a new Subaru owner. I was at another Subaru dealership a few years back but did not like the products at the time. Recently i heard much better things about the cars so I decided to give it a second try. Whilst I was doing my research online I was put in touch with Olivia, and she was very helpful and genuinely wanted me to choose the car I wanted. I finally made an appointment with her over the phone and take. Look at quite literally the last 2019 model in Canada with the options I wanted. I arrived late because of traffics, and by then it was already past Olivia’s work hour, but she did not even complained once or rushed during my visit; she went through all the features and highlights of the car, and even took us for a test drive. In the past month I was in the process of returning my leased vehicle and she understood my situation and gave me more than ample time to pick up the car when I was 100% ready. Fast forward to last week when I was finally ready to pick up the car, again Olivia gave my dad and I a warm welcome and even drove us to the dealership herself even though it was past the shuttle service hour!! The car was cleaned, all the documents were ready when we arrived, and she even gave us a surprise holiday special discount. But I was most impressed was that she patiently walked through every function on the car to my dad and I, and made sure that we were happy and understood all the details. Hats off to you, Olivia, it was only a cheap-o Subaru Impreza, but you gave us the experience as though we were buying an expensive European car.

Just wanted to thank Downtown Subaru for your utmost "professionalism". The top rated Japanese vehicle suffering from terrible and egotistical staff. I can't speak for all of course, but the ones who provided their service to me were trully some of the worst I have ever experienced. They were sarcastic with their remarks, and provided me with false information. A grade schooler would be able to tell the difference between transmission and front wheeled barring noise. Canadian Tire auto center has much better and knowledgeable staff!
Just want to thank Subaru for the most expensive car wash.. cost me a total of $61+ tax.
They offered to change the barring and keep investigating if the noise continues. Instead of apologizing about the unfinished work, they took my money without doing anything.
Strongly recommend if you can avoid Subaru dealer, do so. There are plenty of better licensed mechanics out there that won't cheap you out and you can create a trusting relationship with.

I got a letter in the mail saying brake light switch is defective, bring your car in for warranty replacement. So I did. They had it fixed in half an hour which was great, but when I asked if they had anyone available for a test drive to diagnose transmission vibrations they couldn't help. Told me "if there's no lights on the dash, there's no problem"... I'll give them credit for the brake light switch replacement but their diagnosis strategy of no light no problem is scary. This is the second dealership I tried for the transmission vibration diagnosis.

The dealership did not have the car I wanted in stock, as Olivia explained before we started discussing the price. The wait time for the car was exactly as promised. My wife and I bought our Legacy in 2011 and not only was the purchase transaction honest and straightforward, we have found the ongoing visits for servicing very convenient and personal. Every person we have interacted with has been open and transparent and treated us as if THEY are luck just to have us come back.

Our visits are made even more personal with the service of Jeff, during my recent visit and all visits he makes sure to come by and say hi and ask about the family and my new born. Jeff and his team keeps us going back.

We also enjoy the quality and efficiency of the work the team does and we have never had an issue in the last 9 years.

The only reason I did not rate a 5 out of 5 is because sometimes the cost of parts can be on the high end. I do not mind paying the price for the labour, like I said, it is quality. However, there is some room to examine the costs of parts.

Overall, I would recommend Jeff and the Subaru team. They treat us well!

On the day I went to pick up my new vehicle, noted glaring discrepancies between the lease agreement and the offer sheet I'd signed two weeks prior. The $ value of the monthly payments had increased, and the lease term reduced from 48mo/96k to 36mo/60k. Initially told the lease agreement couldn't be changed because the manager was away, and more hilariously that that the offer sheet wasn't a valid contract. When I indicated I'd come back when the manager was in, the salesman changed his tune. After a few unsuccessful attempts,he finally produced a lease agreement that matched the offer sheet. Two hours spent on a transaction that should have taken five minutes.

I've found another dealership to service my Outback.An excellent vehicle.

Here's why I love this place. Over 6 years ago we walked in to look at a car, and ended up going with an Audi. We were there for maybe 20 minutes. 3 years later, we came back when our lease expired and the same sales guy (Bruce) remembered us, remembered the car we picked before (Audi) and gave us a no BS deal right on the spot for a new outback. Car has been superb to drive and our lease ends now, if we go with Subaru again you better believe I'll go back here no doubt about it.
