I can't say enough about the exceptional help I received from Faizal Arfeen at Stratford Subaru. While in Florida the battery died on my 2018 Crosstrek with only 12,150km. I contacted the closest Subaru dealer in Fort Myers and he refused to honour the warranty as it was a Canadian car. I spoke with Faizal and he he went out of his to call the dealership and clear up the problem. Thanks to Faizal I was back on the road. You went above and beyond to help me out. You are a true asset to Subaru.

I bought a 2020 wrx from back home (northern Ontario), I work out of aylmer, and I have called SEVERAL subaru dealers from where I live (waterloo) all the way to Sarina, nobody can squeeze me in to get my car looked at as I had every single light on, on my dash and being new I didn't wanna run it without being checked, stratford subaru got me in the day I got back from work (long haul trucker) didn't need to wait at all, I showed up to the dealer, and they took my car right in! Everyone at stratford was VERY friendly and helpful and considerate and I would recommend this dealer to ANYONE living in Southern Ontario, I drove an hour to bring my car to these guys and will continue, they have become my #1 dealer for my car and the only ones that will ever touch my car, very satisfied with them and the service that is provided to the customers. Thank you stratford subaru for taking care of my needs ASAP and being the great people you all are!

Very disappointed in this dealership! My daughter bought a vehicle and not even 1 week after picking it up and the front wheel came off while she was driving!!! We received poor customer service and was told the level of customer service we received as due to COVID! To me it seemed as they treated this serious incident as a minor issue. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone!

I bought my Subaru in 2018, and have had nothing but issues with the car, the service and the management. They have gone through 3-4 service managers and each time I try to get repairs complete on the issues that were present from day one, I get the run around. I brought my Subaru in for repairs this year, and was provided a loaner car. After getting my Subaru back, I noticed there were new issues present such as, the windshield washer fluid spray hose was not connected back to the attachment, and thus I cannot use the windshield washer fluid. In total, I have gone back to Subaru 9 times in 2 years for issues that should have been found in their "300 point inspection", and at best, should not have more issues coming out of their shop than going in. I have now taken my Subaru to another location and would rather pay for service than to deal with Stratford ever again. Avoid at all costs.

very good experience in Service dept. They gave me Saturday as an option which was great as weekdays are difficult. Service advisor told me exactly which service package the car required and the price up front. I waited in customer lounge, grabbed a great coffee and used the wifi and it was over in no time. Back on the road in an hour.

Service was excellent . Things were explained well by service manager. Prompt pickup when car was ready. I booked my appointment online which was easy. I think Stratford Subaru prefers this booking method as twice now I have phoned to book an appointment and did not receive a call back. I will just go straight to online booking in the future for routine servicing.

I have had problems with the service dept every time I bring it in for maintenance. The last three times I asked them to fix the tailgate switch but they never do anything.... they just say it is working properly. Today I asked them to disable or neuter the super-annoying RAB sensors... dealer response is they cannot do anything about it (forums state otherwise). Strange that they don't call mid-appointment to talk to me to ask/clarify/discuss. Done with this place.

Saw a used 2018 Subaru Forester for a decent price on Auto Trader that was at this dealership. Inquired on Friday night if the vehicle was still available. It was but had no CarFax report. I wanted to know if it had been in any accidents, one owner, etc. Was told they would get back to me on Saturday. No Call. Closed Sunday. I called on Monday and was told it was still available but no CarFax as of yet. Was told they would call me back. Tuesday morning I called again and was told by Chris that the car was still available and the CarFax stated no accidents and one owner. I asked if I could come over and see it. I told him I was from Mississauga and Stratford was a 1.5 hour drive for me. Chris said the car was available and made a VIP appointment (laughable) for me at 3:00. My wife and I got there at 3:10 and was told by Todd they sold it last night at 6:00. Thanks for wasting my time and money. I kind of thought this Forester was priced a little low. Was this vehicle ever really available? I think they posted it just to get customers to come by and buy a new car. Phishing scheme which is illegal. I will be making a formal complaint to Subaru Canada. Thanks for nothing!

The "VIP" appointment I had was the biggest waste of my time. I was passed around between 4 people from this dealership in 1 day. Todd, Kurtis, Customer Service, and Chris. Kurtis passed me off because his delivery and fixing a door was more important. VIP my a**. I sat by myself in Todd's office most of my time there, and he wouldn't work with me at all to get the numbers on a new Outback sorted out. It was also not explained to me why they appraised my vehicle $3000 less than another car dealership in Stratford quoted me. Not impressed, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

After waiting for over an hour with no update from the service adviser I had to go and inquire as to the state of the repair . Engine light came on, i took it to Subaru Stratford and they told me it was an an O2 fault. Could be 1 of 2 sensors or cat. Converter. The converter was still under warrenty so they said they would replace it first. Had my car back on the road in no time at no cost to me.

I think the customer service is excellent here. The frontline staff is courteous, helpful and informative. However, I feel that the necessary service work is overpriced. The hourly rate that is charged is too high in my opinion when the mechanics themselves are making a fraction of that I’m sure and the parts that are required seem to be charged at a maximum. Money has to be made I know, but it does seem disproportionate to what is required.

In all my dealings with local Subaru dealerships ( Subaru Gemini Kitchener, London Subaru) STRATFORD SUBARU by far has the most integrity and best customer service . Although they have some lower ratings in other reviews, I believe that they are at least working as hard as they can to make the experience at their dealership better for the customer. I will drive from Waterloo to this dealership always to buy my cars and service them. DEFINITELY think twice before going to Gemini Subaru in Kitchener!!!!!

Worst service department ever. If you want to be taken for a ride and have things replaced (that don't likely need it" take your car there.

And if they put something new on, their "quality" parts have a 1year/20,000kms warranty. At 17 months (but only 17K, a part fails...do they try to remedy...nope...too bad so sad.)

And oh, in November they tell me brakes are at 30% and should be replaced. Today (6 month later), any other shop tells me they are at 50%.

Friday's trade in and car purchase such a great experience. Iqbal's creativity in putting together the right financial solution for us really made the deal even that much sweeter.

It is amazing to me how much the new Forester has evolved since my last one in 2010. It is larger and much more refined, the interiors is spectacular, it rides much better and is quieter than the 2012 Outback, the technology blows my mind, and I cant believe how much I enjoy driving it! Its now a coin toss whether I choose to drive the FXT or my M Roadster, I like it that much, and have never been as happy as I am with this car purchase!
Hopefully Subaru will maintain its high quality standard while continuing to evolve and improve over the coming years, and this combined with how well they treat their clients will keep me coming back to SASS again and again.

Was in the market for a mid sized cross-over and was really curious to see why Subaru has such an amazing following so I walked in during my lunch break to take a look at the Outback. The owner (I believe his name is Iqbal) was being chewed out by another elderly customer on some problem on his car and once they were finished he came up to me. I think he was having a bad day because basically within three minutes I was given strong hints that I wasn't welcome there. He got really agitated (I think he thought I insulted him) when I asked about incentives, pricing and features compared to Toyota RAV4 and Kia Sorrento. His exact words: "shame on you if you are comparing this to a KIA", "last person to ask me to compare this to a KIA was a KIA salesman, they sent a salesman here for training." I guess he was implying that I was from KIA there to learn more on how they sell cars? I thanked him for his time and left. I rarely care enough to leave reviews and only do so for really good/bad places. And like I said the fellow might have been having a bad day, but I have never felt so unwelcome in a place of business by an individual's attitude and comments.
