Waste of time. Buy your car anywhere else. These guys are a joke. I had a person willing to take over my lease and these guys said they'd take my car. No fooling around, no jokes. One trip and we're done. I got there and the used car manager started belligerently and offensively sniveling over how important he is. Then he sat there trying to nitpick why he wouldn't take a perfectly good car over a scratch. These guys are total jokes. I've bought so many cars from them. No more. They have lost a customer for life.

Not picking on any sale rep, just want to share my horrible experience here and hope you can pick some lesson from there. It happened in October 2019, right after 3 month of getting my pre-own low mileage car from Subaru Maple, my car battery was dead twice at night, imagine how much trouble I had to go through, but also I went there, the preowned car manager insulted me, accused me of dishonesty and humiliated and made me cry in public. They( including the management team) blamed the battery issue on my dash-cam. I didnot want to argue about that eventho I consulted many machanic and check the specs of my dashcam. After changed my battery some other location with my own money, I drove it for 4 months now still with dash cam on, the battery has no issue at all!
Please think about what kind of employee do they have and what kind of management is that regarding to customers service.
I never said anything without proof, that is why I am leaving a comment in 4 month after that incident. You can check the pic I provide for my battery replacement somewhere else, did not want to get humiliation from this location anymore.

Instead, check the 1 or 2 stars. These will tell you exactly who they are. Do not trust the service department. I have papers to prove that they get your money without conscience.

We acted in good faith, having the repairs on these MANUFACTURER DEFECTS done "under warranty", however, neither this dealership or Subaru of Canada have acted in kind and presented us with a bill for the pleasure of narrowly avoiding death, after their own admission that these in fact were manufacturer defects that should be entirely covered under warranty. We have talked to every level of management at this dealership, aside from Bruno who will not return our calls. This dealership is despicable, and they should be ashamed of their actions, their staff, and the sub par product that they have sold. Avoid this dealership, and avoid Subaru in general, as they have proved that they cannot be trusted in any way and sell unreliable, defective products.

We purchased our vehicle from Michael Ister about 6 months ago. Michael listened to our specific needs and made sure we got what we needed and less. He never pushed us to make a sale; he always wanted to make sure we got exactly what we needed, making smart suggestions but never pushing.

He kept us updated with the progress of the car getting ready for pickup and still today goes out of his way to make sure we are getting what we need from the service department.

Since then I have sent Michael some friends who have also purchased new vehicles from him and they say, as I do, "He treats us like family. " Michael goes above and beyond any other sales rep I have ever encountered...and the passion this guy has for cars and the people he serves is mind blowing! BUYER BEWARE. Their sales tactics are extremely sneaky. DO NOT BUY ANY CAR FROM THEM. They will say they will "take care" of costs on your lease but in reality they transfer the costs to the new car without telling you. Even if you ask them multiple times that they will pay for extra mileage and early terminations fees. They will lie to you to make the sale. They will add in in the contract, without you knowing and tell you otherwise. When you call them out on it, they will deny and walk away. Most of us just want a car, and not worry about these scamming sales tactics. Go to any other Subaru dealer. If you bought a car from them already, go double check your contracts. We only realized after they tried to pull the same thing on us.

Their behaviour extends far beyond mere racial or cultural insensitivity. Never before have I experienced such belittlement in Canada; the manager repeatedly argued that we lacked knowledge or understanding simply due to a non-local accent. He pointed this out explicitly. This is despite an otherwise conversational understanding of English. Moreover, not only was the manager dismissive, but he entirely lacks the professionalism expected at a business exchange, having stormed off on multiple occasions and leaving bewildered (and insulted) customers standing there.

We are buying a crosstrek from this dealer. We appointment for test drive, still had to wait for a test drive. We did our research on the car. it has good review. So we signed the deal. Car arrived Thursday, didn’t call us till Friday. Requested us to email proof of insurance, emailed them, but took two days and many phones to confirm that they got the copy. They made mistake on the leasing agreement, said to much work to change it... promised will give us a cargo net, which of course didn’t have it on the day we came pick up the car. So we asked for it, then told us it’s out of stock, I checked the website they are still selling, later told us because the part/service is closed. Never had such a painful experience of getting a new car, cannot image what it will be if we ask fro repair or service.

Incredibly disappointed with the service I was provided with at Maple Subaru. I booked an appointment to have my transmission diagnosed due to a whining sound which is a sign of an early transmission failure. After addressing the problem I was having with Manny, I was told to wait because he had something to do and left me waiting for half an hour regardless of me having an appointment that I made two weeks in advance. After test driving the car he admitted that the sound was definitely there but his verdict ? Your car's fine. The noise isn't loud enough for us to do anything about it. After entertaining him taking me for a test drive in a similar model vehicle for half an hour trying to replicate a sound that wasn't there, being constantly cut off while speaking and him, leaving to go to the back or dealing with other customers in the middle of our appointment and being talked down to for the 3 hours at this point that I wasted there, being rudely asked "who worked on more cars me or you?", he asks me if he checks the drain plug will I be happy. I really don't think anyone deserves to wait that long to have their car checked out especially considering I made an appointment two weeks in advance and paid extra money purchasing extended warranty which apparently doesn't mean anything. He started by saying that if the noise gets louder to take it back and ended by saying even if it gets louder there's nothing he can do about it. Basically when my warranty is done it won't be his problem. Truly disgusting service.

Poor customer service!! I was not taken seriously and treated like I was wasting their time! Don't know if it's because I'm ethnic, in my 20's, or a woman! I ended up closing on a Jeep who took me seriously as a customer at their dealership. And FYI, my friend who just bought a Subaru has had to buy a new car less than a year later because they manufactured his Subaru poorly and guess what, the dealership did not care. Edit: Thank you for your public reply. Everyone at this dealership that I have mentioned has my contact information. I have left multiple messages and sent an email to Bruno regarding this, and yet I never received a call back. Glad to know the only way to get even a slight response is by posting a review.

We have had a saga of issues on our lease. This has been brought to the attention of multiple managers, beginning with Manny, and escalated up to Bruno - who won't even answer us.

My fiancee and I leased a car from this dealership almost exactly 2 years ago. Just after the first year, the car broke down on the highway. We were told that the fuel injector melted and the o-ring released from its housing, causing damage to the cylinder and the engine. We were told that this was a very rare problem. Keeping in mind that this is a new car, we were very concerned about our safety as this is a major issue that could have gone much worse. There was a complete engine power failure. As it occurred on the QEW going 100 km/h, it is a miracle that no one was hurt.

Fast forward to about a week ago when we bring the car for its routine 40 000 km maintenance check. We are told that 3 of 4 brake-lines are about to burst and given a loaner car. We are then told that this was caused by fraying on the braid of the brake lines and all 4 lines need to be replaced. Pro-tip, this is apparently a KNOWN ISSUE to Subaru, and according to this dealership, there is NO RECALL and we would have been fine. It can happen to any car produced around the same time. They replaced the lines because they are good people.

Given what happened, we requested a different car. This seems very unsafe to us. You can't tell us it's fine to have the brakes go like this. Unless you are Manny, who requested that my fiancee simply add some new accessories to the car and say it was new. Clearly, as a woman, I wouldn't notice.

The best offer they had was to drive the car until September. I will never do business with the R. Ferri group again. Subaru should be looking into this dealership!

My Subaru was purchased at the former location of this dealership (Trento Motors). I had all service done there, staff never pushed unnecessary work, and even small problems were fixed as an act of good will. After the move to Maple, the service certainly changed for the worst. My last remaining "free" oil change was not honoured by the new service team, despite the fact that former Trento clients were told nothing would change in terms of agreements. Acts of good will disappeared, new services fees appeared on simple things, and the emphasis on sales came to the forefront. I recommend another Subaru dealership in York Region/GTA.
