Roland Whittall helped me yesterday when I brought in my Forrester for an oil change. I mentioned an ongoing issue with our windshield in that it appears to have tiny pockmarks throughout which makes it difficult to see through in very bright sunshine. He took my concern seriously, raised it with his manager and followed up by sending me contact information for customer care. He was professional ,helpful and concerned. I could not have had better service.

Beware of Mike Delmaire for being not helpful (AT ALL) and for being racist?. He is not being helpful when I went there. Yes, he could be helpful to somebody but in my experience with him "NO". He couldn't even give some advice. Asking him question but his not really into answering all my question. It feels like to me that in his mind his wasting his time talking to us or helping us. The way he talks to us feels like we are not welcome on the dealership. I am pretty sure that you guys take online course how to deal customer expectation, equality. But for my experience with MIKE, none at all. Really bad customer service. BAD BAD BAD BAD. If you ever go to this dealership, not with MIKE.

Car broke down on the road, towed it to Pattison, they couldn't locate common electrical part which i was able to locate locally after 15 min search. When I picked up my car was told that it drives great, got on the road and found out that something is wrong with my front shocks. If you guys drove it, why not to warn me? Car spent 8 days in your shop. Anyway, fixing my shocks in another place.

Got my oil done today. 30% increase since last time. Isn't this a pandemic? Haven't over 8 million Canadians applied for benefits due to income loss? I'm told their price increase occurred April 1st...I'd say it's pretty tone deaf. I understand the need to adjust prices over time, but such a bit increase mid-pandemic seems completely unjustifiable. No more Jim Pattison business for me.

I called to make an appointment and was scheduled in for a day when they were closed (stat holiday) I never received a follow-up email, so when i called to confirm my appointment the day before they didnt even have me on record. Now i have to wait a month for the soonest appointment available and I have to drive the vehicle with 4 recalls, hoping my Forrester doesn't blow up. What a terrible time to be a Subaru owner.

I recently purchased my second new Forester. Our sales person (John Burns) was terrific but my experience with the financing manager reinforced all my negative feelings about car dealerships in general. He used every possible tactic to convince me that I needed to purchase an extended warranty stating that the fobs would cost a fortune to replace (if I were to loose one), the electronics alone could break the bank ( if something should happen), it would give us great peace of mind (at our age). Basically he used fear tactics to convince us that our brand new Subaru was not as reliable as I was led to believe. I thought I was buying a dependable and safe vehicle. With great hesitation we caved into purchasing two additional extended warranties and instead of feeling great about driving our new vehicle home I felt totally manipulated. When we got home I looked up the contract on our first Subaru that we purchased in 2008 and we had not purchased any additional warranties. Our vehicle was still running after 420000 km.

After a sleepless night I called the dealership first thing in the morning to see if I could cancel the additional extended warranties. I was told by the finance manager that the warranties could be cancelled but my monthly payments would remain the same (really, what would be the point). I later called the general manager to express my concerns. He said he did not know the details of extended warranties and would get back to me with more information. It has been well over a week and I have not been contacted regarding this matter.

I am surprised that the General Manager does not have an understanding of extended warranties and that all of his staff are not on the same page when it comes to promoting the company product.

The best buying experience we’ve ever had!!! If you’re in the market for a new car, go see Chris, Colin, Steve, and the rest of their team. We started looking for a new vehicle by going to a few other dealerships in town, and found the sales staff to either be very pushy or frankly incompetent. We were completely dismayed but stopped in at Subaru on a whim at the end of the day. Chris was amazing from the start, and just got better. He introduced us to the lineup of cars, and helped us narrow down what models might work for our lifestyle. What blew me away is that he and Colin were the antithesis to the typical car salesman; they suggested that we take a car overnight to make sure it fit our lifestyle, and no hard feelings if we found it didn’t. We were shocked, as we had just come from another dealership who quickly pressured us to sign the dotted line immediately after a short test drive. The buying experience was top notch; no pressure, just helpful and relaxed. Chris, hats off to you - I know we kept you very late after your shift one day and even bugged you on your day off to complete the sale, but you did it all without a single hint of any complaint. It was truly wonderful working with all of you. (I never, ever thought I’d ever write such a glowing review of a car sale!)

I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from the dealership. I was lied to and taken advantage of. John Burns told me my trade in was only worth 1500 and they would sell it wholesale off their lot. 2 days later it was on their lot for $8995. When i emailed John he said he was sorry that i felt that was unfair. My fault, but i just want others to be careful and know what your car is worth if you are trading it in. I should have sold it myself than believing them.

I didn't really know what to expect walking into a dealership but I was greeted with the friendliest of staff. At the age of 23, I thought I may be looked at as someone just wanting to test drive a vehicle and not be taken very seriously.. this wasn't the case AT ALL. Robert was an amazing salesman and I would buy another vehicle from him 10 times over, Colin added a very friendly atmosphere for me and was very happy for me purchasing this vehicle. John in finance was awesome and very informative and Abe was a great person to talk to waiting for my car to be detailed. All in all my experience at this dealership was top notch. Would rather drive to Nanaimo or Vancouver than deal with these Stereo Typical Salesmen.

This dealership has a monopoly and knows it.

Their number one priority is who gets the commission and how much that commission will be.
To the point of arguing with each other and interrogating the customer.

If your not interested in certain features they will push hard to sell you on those.

It seems all the information they casually extract from you is solely for the purpose of determining their leverage.
So when it comes time to negotiate they can maximize profits.

Subaru are amazing cars, that sell themselves. The salesmen are there to squeeze every last penny out of you.

I really looked forward to buying myself a Forester and having it serviced there.

But I cant reward these salesmen, who have no interest in customer satisfaction, and are only looking out for themselves.

A member of the Saunder's Subaru team is almost definitely involved in a scam with the people at Sandy's Auto Parts just down the street from here.

After recommending that I had my very broken car sent there to be sold for parts, I called Sandy's Auto Parts and they right away said they would come tow the car for free (sounded like they were already prepared for the conversation, and knew to expect my call). When I went to Sandy's Auto Parts to discuss an offer, they offered me $50 (for a 2004 Subaru Forester, give me a break) and said that if I didn't take that offer, I would have to pay them $70 for the tow.

Regardless of whether I am right about member(s) of Saunder's Subaru being in on this scam, or not, it brings great disrepute to both them and the Subaru brand that this branch maintains a relationship with such crooks.

As an aside, my brother, who was in the market for a brand new Subaru WRX STI, will no longer be buying one from this dealership, and I recommend to everyone to stay away from here, lest you be taken advantage of in some way.

I recently purchased a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek from Saunders. I drove a 2003 Subaru Forester before that I bought used and I got hooked on the brand. I did a lot of research and my priorities were 1) AWD and 2) higher than standard road clearance. Subaru's are 'snowmobiles' and their Crosstrek exactly fit my requirements. As did the price point. I knew what I wanted, time to buy one more new car. To me to buy a new car is a BIG DEAL!

There is no Subaru dealer close to where I live. After a pretty bad experience with another dealer, I went to Saunders where I was treated with respect. Their sales process is very professional and fair, no undue pressure, no unnecessary up-selling. I felt that all conversations about everything that was involved were straight forward and honest. Let's put it that way, I know what excellent customer service is all about, I also know what good business is about, and when it comes to doing business with Saunders, there is none better.
