I am extremely disappointed with the Manager and Service Department at Clarenville Nissan. I bought a brand new Nissan Qashqai in September of 2020. It is now peppered in paint chips and even has a couple of rust spots (the hood, side fenders and even spots on the doors). I called Clarenville Nissan and they told me to bring my car to the dealership and they would take pictures and send them to Nissan Canada because they couldn't make the decision at their location. They told me that it would take about a week to get a response. After a month, I still hadn't heard anything back. A call was made to the manager and he said that someone from Nissan would be in touch the next day. After a week, still nothing. A trip was then made to the dealership and they said that Nissan Canada had deemed it as rock chips and could not or would not help me. My car is still well within its warranty and should not look like this. I even spoke to a professional with over three decades of experience and they said it seems like a primer issue. This is very unsettling. Other members of my family are also driving new Nissan vehicles. Being aware of the poor service that I received, it is very upsetting for them as well.

I purchased a used vehicle on Dec 22nd. The car I purchased should have passed a 48 point inspection before even being listed for sale, obviously an inspection wasn't done properly and my car had to go back to the garage within 24 hours. I could have been killed, I drove over the highway that day, I had trouble stopping the car when needed, resulting in going through red lights. I was told it would be a week to fix, it took almost 6 weeks. I ask for a set of winter tires for my inconvenience and was told they would only pay for 2 because it wasn't a Nissan tire and I'm being charged for installation as well. I'm looking into the legalities of this and as a result of my experience with Nissan, my son is no longer going to be purchasing any more vehicles from any Nissan, he deals with O'Neill Nissan in St. Johns and faithfully trades in his car every 3 years. I feel that had I purchased a "Nissan" instead of a used car, I would have had a different experience and that isn't acceptable

We were having difficulties dealing with the service department of the dealership where we bought our truck (not Clarenville). We couldn't get warranty work satisfactorily completed even though paying over $2500 for extended warranty nor could we get quality basic service work done. We were considering trading in for a different brand even though we love the truck and we'd loose on a trade. We also needed a car but because of our poor service experience, we bought a Honda CRV rather than the Nissan Rogue. Still needing to deal with our truck, we decided to try Clarenville Nissan even though it is a further 1/2 hour drive one way.
WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID!!!
The service department and their staff are GREAT!! Not only do we get good basic service, they resolved our warranty issues without hesitation and without arguing!!! They did what they needed to do to get it done and we didn't even buy it there!! Too bad we didn't come here before buying our car, but this is our Nissan dealership from now on!! The drive is well worth it for us. The staff is professional and easy to talk to, the dealership is clean and the service is great!! We love our Titan and are very pleased to be keeping it now that we found a service department willing to work with their customers.
