Have been making my annual inspection and maintenance with them for years. This year, after a undercoat they didn't mount a piece of the bottom plastic correctly came off the next day hit the tire and the tire ate part of the piece. Went back, was treated like a liar, they said I hit a rock or something, it was clear the piece came out because it was not installed correctly back, but they treat me poorly. Never see a place treated a frequent customer with such disrespect. The technician said "if it was my decision I would just give you a new piece", right in front of me. He knew it was caused by a poor installation. Don't recommend this place and I'm not putting my feet there ever again. Nobody should be treated as a liar. If you are reading this, look another place to put your car, these people don't care, they just want your money.

Just want to provide more information and an answer to the message below. From the first interaction with the employee until I left the dealer all he did was to try to prove I was lying. I get it, there is people that come and don't tell the truth or omit things. I get that, but he never gave me the benefit of the doubt, he didn't provide any explanation. They were short on staff that day and it seems like it was a busy day. The guy was definitely stressed even before I got there. I got that. A reasonable explanation would have me convinced, like "oh the plastic can get dry and breakable after some years", "these pieces of plastic needs to be replaced from time to time", but all he did from the first time was treat me like I was lying. He said you hit something. Nope I didn't, I was with my wife and my kid in the car as witnesses. There was no evidence I hit something, I told him I didn't hit something but he tried to convince me I was lying. No matter how many times I said that, he never said ok, let's consider that. To this day this doesn't sit right with me. I try to be a honest person in all my deeds. It really hit hard when you know the truth and are treated like that. Unfortunately that is not how I do business. The way I treat the customers on my business is to first trust what the customer is saying. I can provide additional information based on facts, but there is a trust relationship that I need to honor. That was not honor that day, it was all thrown in the trash can. Felt terrible to be treated as a dishonest person, and still hurt my feelings. I even told the guy this: "It is not the trouble of having to come back, the time, and the human error that bothers me, those happens and it is part of live. What is really the trouble is to be treated like a liar". Unfortunately to regain the trust is very hard, I would stand by my words and I will never coming back because I cannot trust in you guys anymore. Really hope you guys find a way so this doesn't happen with other customers. But for me it is the end of the relationship.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The sales person we worked with didn’t try to upsell us and was honest. In fact, we requested to see the bigger vehicle and talked ourselves up from the smaller one. Also, when we had issues with our older Kia (that we bought new from a Kia dealer else where in the province), they got it in in a timely manner and replace the faulty engine at no cost to us- with no strings attached! They stand behind their product. Only complaint is, the service department is hard to get ahold of by phone (they mentioned they’re short staffed but working to fill positions to remedy the problem).

Came in for my MVI and seasonal tire changeover. Cindy took care of us at the service desk and she was utterly fantastic! She got all my questions answered with lots of laughter and patience (I asked lots today - 3 trips back to her when she thought I was finished hahaha) and made sure I had everything I needed. She set me up for the cargo mat I wanted, my back wiper blade and storing my tires so I'm not having to deal with them. Fabulous service on my car and the customer service out front! I will be back! Actually calling Cindy tomorrow to set up my regular service ahead of time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Bought my 2020 Kia Soul GT-Line and my wife's 2021 Kia Sorento EX Premium from this dealership, and the staff have always been professional, answering any questions promptly and handling any issues we have had. The Service Department, however, is the best I've encountered in the maritimes: extremely thorough, very timely, and informative about all aspects of our vehicles and their maintenence. Having moved over an hour away from the city, and with dealerships closer to my home I could bring my car to for services, I still make the trip to Halifax because of the Service Department staff. Highly recommended!

April 2023 called Kia with a tin rattle
sound. I was told I needed an exhaust sleeve and central muffler for 2000$ I went elsewhere due to Costs and Kia recommended cheaper places to fix it.
I was told by other garage that there was nothing wrong with my central muffler or exhaust . I was even brought out back for them to show me underneath. I had them replaced it because I trusted Kia and they said I needed it .. so they did the service with after market products.
Well I could still hear the same after that was done and called Kia and they said it was my brakes and I needed a brake service … I knew it was nothing to do with my brakes and had it cleaned up elsewhere.
Again the sound was still there so I drove my Sorento to Kia … I had the sound video recorded on my phone and showed you. (Tim)
A technician came for a drive and could hear the sound
After a day or so Kia said they found the problem … when my car was done with the bearings months prior the technician put my heat shield on backwards >>>> which was put in backwards in December of 2022 when rear left bushing and left front control arm were fixed. It was not my Central muffler, exhaust sleeve, or brakes >>> so I paid out of my pocket for a service cheaper elsewhere recommended by Kia service department. Kia technician tried to say that 1st then 2 nd issue when it was absolutely NOT the case. I paid for things to be done to my car that did not need to be done. So driving with a heat shield on backwards for 5 months has that caused damage??? I had an apprentice technician work on my SUV and he’s the one that put the the shield on backwards.
In Sept 2023 I called kia and told them a humming sound is still in front of car when I accelerate to 20-40 km/h and that I could also feel a dragging sound in the back left on turns … well the dragging feeling was fixed as it was AWD coupling.
They said the humming sound is because my tires are “scalloped” soI asked when my winters go on does and that sound is still there.. does that me my winter tires are scalloped as well?? NO reply for that question. The humming sound is still there and my carpet where my gas pedal and car parts is cut out .. why did the technician cut my carpet out and there is a bracket missing ??? I was not even told about it …The car is not a lease. Jesus this is unreal the ordeal that I go through with Kia from day one with the rail dust on my brand new SUV.
My carpet and bracket needs to be fixed ASAP. The humming sound I believe is not a tire issue. I feel like it’s something with the head shield being on backwards for months.
This is my fourth Kia ..I have never ever in my life had so many issues with this 2017 Sorento and especially with the Halifax Kia service department (this does not pertain to Tim>> he is not the one that services my SUV) Kia service says it’s “this issue” not once, or twice, way too many times when it is not “the issue”.
I am the on that suffers from it. I bet you I have been there more times at service
with this Sorento more than anyone of your customers. It is so upsetting they put my heat shield on backwards and told me I needed the central muffler and exhaust sleeve when I did not. The service technician cut my carpet with a bracket missing out of the car without my consent and did not even tell me, that’s maddening.
What’s upsetting is I didn’t get an apology for the errors. They didn’t say oh sorry that you had to go spend money on a brake service, and central muffler that you did not need because of “our” fault.
I would like to know what now is going to be done. Technicians can always write what they want in their favour. The customer service needs to be reevaluated.

Was not impressed, had spoken to a person on the phone who booked us an appointment, when we showed up for the appointment, what was not mentioned is it's a minimum 3 months or more wait for a car. There is nothing to see or test drive. And the sales person didn't seem to want to sit down and even discuss costs with us. So it's lazy customer service, as we had asked on the phone if vehicles were available and we were told yes, or we would not have made the appointment! The dealership just blamed the general person we were speaking with for not having the correct information. It's a shame after that drove down the road and found a brand new vehicle available to purchase.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Halifax Kia dealership services last week. I took my Sedona to them for an oil change and check-up. They informed me that the battery, wipers, and both front wheel bushes needed replacement, totaling $900. Since I had a 14-hour trip planned to another province, I approved the service. However, within twenty minutes, they informed me that the control arm had broken due to rust on the left wheel side. They said they needed to cut it, as no replacement part was available locally. They ordered the part from Ontario and cost $900, which would take a day to arrive, causing a delay in my trip.
I requested the part description to find a used one locally, spending a whole day without a vehicle and incurring Uber/taxi expenses for my family's transportation. After searching, I found a used part for $160, which I arranged to be delivered to the dealership. They finally fixed the vehicle the next day, causing a day's delay in my trip.
When discussing the situation with the service manager, I found them to be rude and unhelpful. I argued that it was unfair to charge me for the control arm replacement, as they broke it while working on the vehicle. The manager insisted on a $180 restocking fee for the Ontario-ordered part and made a weak argument about the rust causing the breakage, which I found unconvincing.
This experience left me deeply dissatisfied, and I will not be returning to Halifax Kia. Their service was subpar, and they failed to take responsibility for breaking the part during their work.

Worst place to get your car fixed. They will charge you but never completely fix the issue. When you confront they don't do anything and say if you want your keys back you have to pay. Took my car there on multiple occasions. Well, supposedly a dealership technician is supposed to know your Kia better, not the case here.

What an absolute disgrace. My wife had to have her car towed because of a flat tire. Car came brand new with no spare tire but a compressor/slime kit for quick roadside repair. The kit was defective and so she had to have the car towed to the dealership. Luckily she was close to the dealership. However we travel a lot and this could easily have happened days before, on the highway with our kid inside, leaving us with no emergency solution. They refused to replace the defective compressor and wanted to charge us for a new one. They have no problem leaving you stranded with no emergency kit, just to save the manufacturer a few bucks. This is inhumane behavior and should be illegal. Not only is our 2021 Sorento an awful problematic car, I now know that the dealership will do everything to save a few dollars at their customers expense. Truly malicious.

I have the experience of many different Kia dealers as I have moved provinces and this by far is my best experience. I won't mentioned the name of the ones where I had bad experiences but suffice it to say that this one excelled in every category.
I was not upsold and I was actually greeted when I came to the door. The lovely lady in the sales section was very pleasant to deal with. Give her a raise!.
I had initially booked an appointment to get winter tires on but because of the demand for the service in Nova Scotia it takes weeks to get it done so I had already put them on but I got my oil changed in a timely manner.
Tip : If you do an oil change etc, call at least a month ahead to schedule your appointment.

Received a recall letter for brake line corrosion and booked a service appointment by phone. I was told I could wait during my appointment and it would take an hour. When I arrived at 730am they said it would "maybe be done by 5pm". I had to taxi to and from work in Dartmouth which they at least gave me taxi chits for. That was Friday and I guess the service wasn't completed because now I have to wait until at least Monday to pick up my car.

I had my worst experience with this place. They were so nice before I bought the car , but after purchase I got a very bad customer service. The sales people and the people who work there welcomed me with smiles, but when I finish buying and I needed some documents related to the car, no one listened and they left me on the line with no answer.....yes they got your money why bother about you anymore. I got a job abroad after 2 weeks of purchase and wanted to export my car and needed some car documents and they didn't even bother to listen to my request with many international phone calls and begging them to make the paper available so my friend can pick them up and mail to me.
If this how car business works in Halifax, I wouldn't recommend them or any car dealer who copies them.

I received my new Kia Carnival two-three weeks ago, Love it so far. However - there was a rattling sound coming from the back of the vehicle from day 1 while the car was in motion. I couldn't figure what it was. I tried opening the hatches in the back where the tools are but everything was fastened. Because that is as far as my feeble technical skills go, I ordered a service check. After all checked and done I was told the noise was due to a loose tow bar. The car was back with a tow bar laying accusingly at the baggage compartment as proof of the work done. I was charged a labor fee of 15$. I argued that it was not me who delivered a new car with a loose part but the service rep insisted that is an owner responsibility. 15$ if a strange fee and not a big deal but I feel that I have been had. If I reuse same logic as used by the service rep - shouldn't the responsibility fall on the one who first didn't correctly fasten the tow bar - that is - the dealership? And shouldn't a new car be delivered clear of faults? I hope future visits to the service wont leave me with similar bad taste.
