Came to Birchwood Kia with my dad to find him a vehicle after seeing one online we liked. Even though it was sold earlier that morning the sales manager was nice enough to give us an even lower price on a newer model! The whole experience was very smooth and the staff were friendly and easy going. Even when we noticed a few things that needed tweaking they were quick to accommodate us and had no issues helping with our busy schedules.

Huge thanks to Jennifer and Kanwal for all your help. Dad absolutely loves his new Soul and I will for sure be coming back here when I'm ready for a new vehicle.

Just purchased a kia sorento for my growing family. Mark Miller was an absolute dream to deal with in sales, he made sure we were completely happy with everything before we bought the sorento and went to the extra steps to take care of us while we spent long hours there! Very happy customer! I can't wait to enjoy this vehicle with my kids and watch them grow with it as they get older.

Steer clear of this dealership. It’s run by children who have zero idea what they’re doing.
You’ll initially feel as though you’re being taken care of - but nope...every single person here lies.
Found a vehicle I was interested in. Attended dealership. Negotiated price with Mark Miller.
When brought to financing office of Mike Wiebe noticed the numbers seemed higher then they should have been. Spent hours reassuring me everything was in order and the number I was looking at was simply interest should I take the full 7 years to pay for it.
Knowing I was going to pay it off in a year...that didn’t affect me, so I signed.
Fast forward a month and I ended up with a bolt in my tire, took it into Birchwood Regent Kia and wasn’t worried because I had opted for the extra package regarding tires. Regent Kia had no idea what I was talking about. They have never heard of the package. Point West has sold me some bogus package that no other dealership recognizes.
Fast forward 10 months I’m ready to pay off the vehicle, call the bank, which is not my own bank but the bank they chose. And it turns out I owe TWICE the amount we agreed upon....
Got in touch with the dealership Mike Wiebe, who sent me the forms that I signed after being told that the amount was just the interest should I take the full seven years to pay and found out that it’s not, they reneged on the negotiated price and sold the vehicle to me for way over market value.
The car itself is like driving a piece of Lego. Engine and TPI lights constantly on, as they didn’t advise me that there were no sensors on the rims for the winter tires they had sold me....
customer service is awful, the way they cheat their customers is deplorable and I would highly recommend staying as far away as possible.
Or at the very least don’t take them for face value, make sure you read and question every single sentence of every single page of the 800 pages they get you to sign

Where do I start with Birchwood Kia.

First off the staff is very friendly, but that is about all you will get. We found a fairly priced car online and scheduled a test drive. The car had a damaged mirror that they were hoping to pass off onto the customer. They fully expected us to pay almost $2000 to get something fixed, that they should have prior to listing the vehicle. Thankfully that was taken care of after having to negotiate it into the sale. We were able to accept this.

Besides that everything else was just lip service, and not a single person we talked to in the dealership didn't lie to us.

After the sale we went to do the paperwork. They gave us a deal to finance the car which was fine, despite us wanting to pay cash. The finance manager Wade told us we have to hold the loan for six months. Upon reading over the contract with the bank, it did not need to be held for six months. Not a huge deal, but his sales tactics felt very pressured and tried to sell us additional features based on scare tactics.

Then after we signed the papers the service guy brought us the car. Upon inspection we noticed the car had a ripped rear door seal. We pointed this out the service guy who said "it must have just fallen off" and told us he would have someone put it back on. Car comes back and the seal had just been lazily put back on as it was ripped. We told them that this is not how the car was purchased. Due to it being a weekend, he said he would let the service manager and our sales person Joe know.

It took over a week till we reached out to Joe to find out an update, in which he told me no one knew, but he would look into it. Nothing again for over a week until I reached out again which he said it would be just over $250.00 to get it fixed. After telling him we should not have to pay for something they either damaged or neglected to tell us, he said they would take care of it and let us know when the parts are in. It has been well over a month without hearing from the dealership.

Given all of the lies from the service technician and Joe I will strongly urge people to steer clear of this dealership, unless they want to experience a headache for their next car buying experience. Far better out there.

Be careful working with this dealership. Read all documents carefully, double check all information from the stuff of this dealership. They cheat and impose the purchase of useless options and give false information about services. It may turn out that a deal that is profitable at first glance will cost you much more than purchase car for a normal price in another dealership.
We purchased so called discounted kia forte for my son in this dealership in the late fall 2018. The price looked great, seamed to be a good deal...However, when we started going through a paperwork, we were told that we had to purchase a gap insurance priced $2450. They told us that it was a bank requirement for the loan. Moreover, they gave us a wrong information about this insurance.
We decided to sell this car and I contacted bank yesterday. I was shocked to hear from the bank that they never required such kind of insurance and we were able to get the loan without this insurance. I called today to insurance company to clarify about cancellation process and was shocked again with information about this insurance.
I visited dealership to ask some questions related to this insurance, met a financial manager ( there is a new one)and got a terrible conversation. I told him about all around insurance ( by the way it costed us extra $2450). He answered me that he did not know exactly what happened ( he is a new one- no complaints about it), but he mentioned that kia has a contract with this insurance company.....I think that is why they cheat and insist on buying these useless services. He also told me that even though we wasted $2450 we still got a good deal and I should be happy of that. I can recall $1000 from insurance company, terminating service, but it is only a small portion of lost( direct and compound % on loan) I could avoid working with another, honest, dealership.
So, be careful.
P.S sales stuff is very professional, no any complains. 5 stars to sales.

We found a nice car online and were able to set up an appointment to see it that afternoon. The test drive went well, however we were shown damage on the mirror that was not advertised and that the dealership was not planning on fixing. When we went to negotiate a price, they expected us to pay almost half of the total cost to fix the mirror, which we refused. Ultimately got the price down and were told they would need to order in the new mirror so we waited a couple weeks for that to be fixed. Finally go to sign the paperwork and take home the car when we noticed that the entire passenger door seal was falling out and ripped in one spot, which we were not told about either. Told the guy helping us and he said he would talk to the service centre and have it taken care of. Had to call multiple times and were told again that they expected us to pay for the repairs! Overall nice sales people, but do not appreciate all the hidden costs and repairs that were seemingly our responsibility.

Purchased used vehicle. Kind of high mileage but was told they were mainly highway miles and very well taken care of. Had it just over a year and a half and noticed some things going on with it so brought it back to the dealership so they could take a look at it.. they apparently didnt hear or feel what I was feeling and just over a month later the engine blew.. now it needs a replacement engine which will cost more than the vehicle did at purchase.. I tried to contact and explain what had happen with no response or help.. do not recommend this place.

Service level dropping down by each time I was visiting there.
Last visit just broke my trust completely, after just two month after full inspection of the vehicle (last one before warranty runs out and been paying a top dollar for that) i drove to service appointment with steering issue (something to do with electric assistant motor).
I came back with same issue that i had before and been told that it ok and nothing to worry about. Service advisor answer was that I did not ask the mo check that specific system and they will not take any responsibility for that!
I have that feeling that they allays tried to mislead me to avoid rearing that searing wheel motor issue as it would cost them top dollar to repair.

I bought 2 vehicles from this dealership but trust me never again!

Will never go back to that place ever again I made an appointment with them to have a oil change and put on my winter tires on and made it known to them that once my car was finished worked on to call me when the work was completed. Now no call and three hours have passed I call them to say what's going on and where is my shuttle service and they say they don't have a shuttle drive and can be at least a hour to get a rideback to the dealership and instead I call a friend to give me a ride and once I arrive at the dealership they say my car was ready after a hour and that was no excuse to have me wait 3 hours and then no shuttle service back and have no other answers to say sorry well that's not good service at all and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone needing work at at this place . horrible experience and never going back .

My tust levels have dropped to 0% at this point but I will be posting a full review after I find out what was ACTUALLY performed as far as my extra services over my sugguested/required service package but so far paid items and extra services charged including wiper blade, engine filter not done whatsoever. Couldn't say if anything else was done as per written agreement. I never thought that I should mark my tires to see if they were actually rotated as per documentation but family is suggesting that I should now given my experience . My service rep is going to make it right but unfortunately the service mechanics need to be on the same page and not just marking checks off on a computer.

I've contacted my service representative after noticing work not performed/completed. Upon return to the dealership all were rectified and I was reimbursed for my trouble. I'm happy with the end result but still on the fence as to what services were actually completed on my year old vehicle. Safety is always an issue and I want to be sure ALL my repairs are done in a careful manner and that I don't have to double check that they are.

It was brought to my attention that an apprenticeship program is underway at this location and the apology made was aimed at this being the probable cause. I only hope this error will promote getting an experienced technician overlook the jobs completed before marking all the jobs done.

I specifically brought my vehicle here due to recieving a recall notice in the mail for my wife's Sorento. Decided to book an oil change at the same time. Arrived and was greeted promptly by the service person. After some difficulty finding my vehicle in their system, I showed the service person the recall notice paperwork and was told everything would be taken care of. Approximately ninety minutes later I was told by the same service person that my vehicle was ready. Left the dealership after receiving my paperwork. Two weeks later my wife received a phonecall informing her that there was still an outstanding recall notice on her vehicle. Checked the paperwork from the service I had done and it clearly stated that a recall check was completed. My wife called and got the run around from the service desk. Contacted the Service Manager and after two phone calls he finally returned my call and left a message. Played phone tag for the next week and was finally told he would contact us via email. No email was sent. Will be taking my business to the other Birchwood Kia dealership and hopefully have a better service experience there.

I hate this place, brought my car in this morning through roadside assistance cause my car was running poorly yesterday. Car started up just fine this morning despite what had occured the previous day.

According to the service rep @ the desk. My car just had loose battery terminals. Got one of his guys to tighten up the terminals and sent me on my way. I had a gut feeling that was not the correct diagnosis. So i left the dealership and started driving when my car suddenly died again while I was on my way to get my car checked by my backup plan to visit Waverley Kia.

Now I am stranded again thanks to your service guy. Currently waiting for another tow through roadside assistance this time to bring me Waverley Kia. Good thing I had the hunch to go to another place. Never doing business with you guys ever again.

Buyer beware. My 20 year old daughter bought her first vehicle from Birchwood, a 2017 Forte with 32000 kilometres, a very nice car. A couple of issues have arisen though; no spare tire, bald tires and no block heater. I realize my kid is at fault for not asking about these issues but it was her first time working with sales staff at a dealership. I wonder if these guys keep prices low by taking advantage of young girls? How can any dealership in Manitoba ethically sell a vehicle without a block heater?

Nader Naseri was kind, excited about finding the right car for me. I eventually found a car elsewhere. He congratulated me, he was super enthusiastic. His handshake was strong, personable and he was smiling and made me feel comfortable and not attacked by a salesman. Usually they are pushy. Fake friendly. Not Nader. Great guy. My experience has been mixed with this dealership, I went back in January 2016 with my sister to help her buy her first new vehicle before she left at the end of the month for Saskatchewan, our sales associate was very courteous and not pushy at all which we appreciated and ultimately she bought a brand new 2016 Kia Sportage. Along with this purchase comes the famous and non-negotiable "Birchwood advantage" which we had to pay but we assured certain benefits like roadside assistance (which the vehicle already comes with) and tire and rim coverage to protect against damage so long as you have them perform a yearly tire rotation which is covered "free" of charge. She also purchased winter rims and tires which come with thier own "birchwood advantage" covering 3 years of rotations as well.

So with all this coverage I was shocked when she returned to Winnipeg in may to have her winter tires (which were mounted and balanced on rims) changed over to the factory rims and tires she was charged almost $50. When I emailed the service manager David Pommer and explained the situation the response I got was that the seasonal change over is not the same as a rotation despite the fact they were mounted and balanced on rims and she would not be covered either way as she has a sask address and the coverage is only good for Manitoba residents.

I responded asking if he could explain why s seasonal change over already on rims would be different then a rotation labour wise and also that she had a sask address when she bought the vehicle and has brought it back to mb to have its servicing if she is not eligible to use the birchwood advantage why was she charged hundreds of dollars for it in the first place and if she cant redeem it please refund the charge.

Well almost a week has gone by and no word back from anyone at the dealership and it seems they have taken advantage of a quick sale and all the promises that were made are nul and void as such I cant recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from an automotive group that displays such a lack of integrity in its after sales customer service.

If the service team at birchwood would like to make this issue right I will update this review accordingly but my words of wisdom would be if you want and honest upfront new car experience with no hidden fees shop elsewhere....

I was contacted by Birchwood who have since credited my sisters account with the money she had to pay for the tire swap and an apology for not explaining that her coverage would not be applicable due to her out of province address. It is appreciated that they did this, obviously it would have been nice to know from the beginning but mistakes happen I suppose, in any case they have been polite and courteous throughout but future consumers just be aware of the fine print and ask questions first to know what your really getting in your "birchwood advantage" .

Bought a Forte and they went the extra mile in my opinion. Did not have the colour I wanted, but traded with another dealer and I had the car three days later. My previous two cars were Civics and I was looking for something different. This worked out perfect, staff was super friendly and my salesperson knew his stuff and did not pressure me which I appreciated. They even have an on site installer for remote starters which I really wanted, it was already done before I took delivery. Good experience.

Just had some service warranty work done and the customer service was absolutely exceptional! Joel and his team were extremely kind and helpful and worked with us to find a suitable time and date, as we are from out of town. They provided us with a vehicle while they were working on ours, and got things done quickly and in a timely manner so we could get back on the road. The facility was very clean and every staff member was friendly and courteous. Would certainly recommend Kia West to anyone.
