The sales person was great. But the part that get me is the financial department. So we sign all of these redundant forms. Then we get to the final bill of sale and bank agreement. These guys had more fees than you imagine. They had a total of 1700.00 of bs fees. Which I would never pay. Make sure you read you work sheet and your final paper work. In most cases I would ask for the final docs up front. If they don't change it just leave and go to another store.

Used Car (Sales)

Be aware if you are selling your car to Mikail Loewen, Travis Scarfe or Dave Montgomery at Murray KIA in Abbotsford. They will play shell games, trick you and point to each other as who is actually responsible for a final decision. Even after you have a deal, they will offer you less especially if they know you need to sell the vehicle today for a family reasons.
It all started with my vehicle at Murray KIA Abbotsford having warranty work done on it since December 30th, 2019. I received an email on craigslist from Mikail offering to pay me $12,000 for it. He told me he has “clearance from the boss man to cut a $12,000 cheque for your optima, or if you trade in you get tax savings which is the equivalent of $13,440! Let me know if you’d like to bring it by and we can take a look at your Optima! May be able to squeeze a bit more than $12,000 if condition is great.”
I then told him that my car has a brand new engine, installed by them this week. I also told him it is in excellent shape and that he can look at it because it’s on his lot at Murray KIA.
Mikail then said, “I do see it on our lot. Out of goodwill I can give you $13,500 if you’re looking to trade it in. I can only offer $12,000 if we’re buying it in from you.”
I asked him if he could do $12,500? Mikail the said “book value is $11,500. I’m stuck at $12,000 currently. Were just making some calls to see if I can get more out of it.”
I asked again if he could do $12,500 and Mikail said, “let me check with Travis see if we can do that for you. I checked with Travis, $12,000 was a pretty strong number for that vehicle. $12,000 is our max number able to purchase your Optima for subject to it driving fine and being in great condition”
I told him I could meet there at 3:00. Mikail said, “Yes, when you arrive ask for Dave! He’s our used vehicle manager.”
I then began the process of completely emptying out my vehicle with all my stuff. I vacuumed it and wiped all the surfaces making sure it was clean for the next owner.

Have been using this dealership to address my KIA Optima's issues with a flashing engine light problem. This engine is a KIA recalled engine as part of the known knock issues, etc. During the first visit, the tech Byron said to the service manager that the code that came up was the defective engine code. They both agreed about that from the code and based on the sound I was experiencing while accelerating. I left the car with them and then a few days later they said issue had been resolved. I picked up the car, left dealership and before getting out of Automall Drive the engine light was back on. Literally this same experience has been repeated 4 times since then with the engine light coming back on at differing lengths of time after being "fixed". The fixes included a new knock sensor twice, replacing computer or harness (they broke pins or something). The workmanship is terrible. Wiring is terrible looking as its being run around and tape is loose on wires. In conclusion, five visits later the light is back on and I've been without a car for three days during the holiday season. The biggest problem is the safety issue as every time the engine "failed" it cuts out, stutters, and the vehicle shakes when you try to accelerate, pull over on freeway or get home. They have been "nice" and keep leading me down a garden path, yet refuse to fix the problem. Called KIA Canada, they said they have no ability or "teeth" to do anything and that the dealership, Murray KIA, has advised them that they will "only replace the engine once it blows up" How ridiculous is that?

Originally went in for a tune up because my car was not starting after getting gas. They told me they found nothing that could be causing that issue but did find $1850 in repairs (most of them necessary and some cosmetic). The car took longer than they said it would and ended up costing nearly $2500. Against my better judgement I returned to Murray Kia when my car continued to not turn over after filling the gas tank. Again it took longer than they said it would and after driving less than 50km the check engine light turned on, which it had not done at any point before. Fool me once, etc... Bonus star because their employees are nice and knowledgeable.

Had to take my car to Murray Kia for recall work, never been so disappointed in the customer service of the service department. When i picked up my vehicle the first time i was handed papers and told my care was done. The promised was had not been done, then I received notice a week later that the work had not been completed and I had to bring my car in again. No mention of this when i had picked my car up. Then I am told that i will be picked up at a specific time, nope! I waited over 45 mins and then was called to say they were bringing my car to me. Overall, unimpressed with the customer service of the service department.

The staff at Murray Kia were very friendly. However my new car so far has not been as good! I had to jump start my 4 day old Kia Forte because the battery died somehow? Once i got it going I was able to drive it for a couple of days and had to park it because of the snow. It sat for 3 days and when I tried to start it I couldn’t even unlock the doors the battery was so dead again. So so far not very impressed with my new car purchase! Hopefully they can solve this problem quickly .

I work for at a dealership in close proximity to Murray Kia. I asked MY SHOP to swap over my winter tires for me as my wife and children would be driving in some less than ideal conditions in the next few days. Well my tires sat there for 3 days and never were installed after being told they were too busy on day 3. I walked across the street and asked Murray Kia (the competition) if they could handle this safety issue for me...they said they were booked solid for the next couple of days...However, I stated that this was an emergency and they said "we'll just have to find a way then". Wow! I am now a permanent customer! I will never let my own shop touch my cars...I THANK THE FANTASTIC SERVICE DEPT AT MURRAY KIA for their professionalism and compassionate understanding! My vehicle was serviced efficiently. The front end staff, Marco and his partner, was exceptionally friendly and courteous. The only negative is I noticed this time, and in the past, the management team walk around with scowls on their faces.
