More of a review of Hyundai than of the dealership. Was interested in the Venue. Was. A 6000km service interval? And what's up with "injector cleaning recommended" so often? Sounds like a lot of cash grabs. Please do your research on cost of ownership before you buy any vehicle.
Sydney the sales clerk was AWESOME!! She helped me and my boyfriend pick a car, process the paper work, and got us on the road in the time we needed.
She is a sweet heart there was no pressure at all with purchasing or misinformation. She made sure to rectify any of our concerns we had with our purchase both prior to and after purchasing. She also made sure they were corrected and that we were satisfied with the outcome.
She would always answer our text and calls in a timely matter. She seems to be driven and very optimistic we love that energy she brings when there is work to do.
I would definitely recommend dealing with Sydney she will put a smile on your face for sure.. Keep up the good work!
Warning! If you want to buy a used car there, please be careful. I got a used car from there and on the first day I found over 10scratches and grinding noise when I drove. Also, they promise to update navigation. However, navigation wasn’t working at all. They took the car back and fix them. Most importantly, be careful when you sign the paper and read through everything. I paid over $1600 for the service of rust protection which I rejected.
I am changing my review of Guelph Hyundai. I originally gave them 5 stars. I now reduce to 1 star.
They will do anything to sell you a vehicle including withholding information.
I just had my first service on my 2020 Venue. It was double the amount expected to pay. When I bought this vehicle my sales person said “you’ll enjoy the lower maintenance costs compared to your trade in.” He neglected tell me that this low end vehicle doesn’t just take regular oil but in fact a more expensive oil. I wouldn’t have bought the vehicle for this reason alone. Why would anyone want to spend over $110 every service on a vehicle which is advertised as budget friendly by Hyundai themselves.
No sales manager or general manager happened to be around to talk to me about my issues either.
Don’t buy a Venue.
Don’t use Guelph Hyundai for any other Hyundai purchase. Save yourself being stuck with a vehicle you wouldn’t have purchased if given all the information from the “experts”

They really took the time to ask me what I was looking for, what I wanted in a vehicle and made sure they found me the perfect match that fit my budget. Elliott is great! My experience with Guelph Hyindai was nothing less than amazing! From the initial inquiry on a Saturday evening to which I received an immediate response, to my surprise. My initial contact with Jesse and Peri was great. From there I came into see my now new vehicle. I have to say that the overall feel at their dealership from my initial inquiry to my dealership to meeting all the wonderful people including the owner was outstanding! I did my research beforehand, and was able to get exactly what I wanted in budget. Great knowledge of features, options and process. Felt really confident making my decision.
The service was fast and a good price. Stopped in for an oil change and replacement of headlamp bulbs. I was taken in right away and everything was done in about an hour. While I was waiting they had cookies, granola bars and a coffee machine free to use. The waiting area is comfortable. Great experience definitely be back.
Had an amazing experience at this dealership today. We got paired up with Tom Hill and he was beyond knowledgable. His knowledge on vehicles was great. My husband is a car guy, know everything about all makes and models since almost the start of time, and Tom knew just as much. An amazing quality from a sales guy who in our past experiences (different dealership) only knew the models they sold.
Was totally not pushy, and understood we had another vehicle in mind also.
And the sales Manager was just as nice and welcoming. We met him before we left and when we returned he was more than happy to see us and helped us start the purchase process by getting our vehicle assessed for trade in value. While Tom finished with an other client.
Went to service my car and always something else also needs to fixed according to them. They do not explain what they will be doing exactly and expect us to know. Avoid servicing your car here and go someplace else that will treat you better and will be much cheaper
Very good prompt service. I enjoyed the drive in service and the waiting area is great. My car was very dirty inside and they recommended a place that could take care of that for me. I asked if they could please clean the inside windshield and they did. They also give you a free car wash and my car was spic and span
Too bad I can't say the same for the inside. Lol. Very professional. Will definitely be back.

I had to take my 2018 Kona in for its routine oil change and maintenance and Paul and the service department were wonderful. Had my car ready when promised and shuttle was ready to take me home and pick me up. 5+ service, high recommend.
Our sales person was Tom Hill, who is extremely knowledgeable and exceptionally personable. His passion for cars shines through, creating a contagious excitement. When a question came up that Tom could not answer, he quickly googled to find out, explaining that if he couldn't find it that way he would get back to me. That is rare. Buying a car is a huge investment. Having a salesperson who listens to what the customer wants, and can provide all the information to be able to make an informed decision, is golden. Also, as a woman buying a non-traditional vehicle, I never once felt any condescension or disdain from Tom, which was quite refreshing. Your dealership is very lucky to have a salesperson like Tom, who makes the customer feel like their decision to buy that particular vehicle is the only right decision, without any pressure tactics at all. I hope you appreciate him.
Guelph Hyundai was able to get me the vehicle I wanted at the price point I was looking for. I recieved excellent service from Ryan Knowles. Even on his day off, he was available to answer all of my questions in a timely fashion. That really stood out against all the other dealerships I was dealing with. I’ve always enjoy first rate service at Guelph HYUNDAI. Today was no exception. I arrived without an appointment for an oil change and, not only did they fit me in, they pointed out services that were due on the and managed to do those also so I wouldn’t have to come back for a separate service appointment. Sales staff was very polite and at no point did I get the sense they were trying to push the sale. Accommodated pretty much anything I asked for and were always responsive when I had questions. Finance department spent good amount of time going over options and what they meant for me as a buyer. Hyundai has really stepped up their game in the last few years and this dealership is a clear reflection of that. Product and service are both exceptional. Would highly recommend checking them out. Everyone is very polite, service is very prompt, and since I waited there, they provided me with constant updates at every step. I’m very satisfied and definitely recommend this dealership. I had an experience with missing summer tires. But Hyundai service and manager were very accommodating and were able to locate the tires and switch them without a charge.
They kept me in formed and offered an acceptable solution if the tires were not found. I have always been happy with them and their service and this issue proves it. I still highly recommend them. Thanks again. 😊

I'd say it was a "fine" experience. I did feel a little pressured and I didn't feel as though the salesman and the manager really went out of their way to get me a good deal. Felt like just another number, which if they have a high sales volume I suppose I can understand. The finance manager John was probably the most helpful and the least pushy even though there was extra things he was responsible for "selling"
I wouldn't say this car dealership is anything special, but at the end of the day I got the car I was after (albeit a lower trim level) and that is really the point.
Went in for first oil change and to get door fixed after a minor mishap and was greeted promptly. Service advisor was very friendly and let me know what was happening and how long it would take. Took great care of my needs and did his best to take care of things as quickly as possible.
Saul was my sales person and did a great job. My test drive was excellent.and Saul had me try some things to highlight the vehicle’s transmission and traction. The entire staff was very positive and you could feel the good vibes in the dealership. Awesome job by the GUELPH Hyundai team!

I brought my 2013 Elantra in for scheduled maintenance as well as to have a spoiler, cargo tray and cargo net added to the car. While I was there I was also able to get information and advice about winter tires as well. Dan was very helpful and patient with all of my questions. He explained a number of options and offered advice that clearly demonstrated his vast knowledge and experience. Although it took a while to complete the work (because of the type of things that had to be done) I was always kept informed about the progress as I waited in a well-appointed room that had comfortable chairs, TV and all the coffee I wanted. Work on the car was excellent by all involved. Thanks to a great service team!
I was lucky enough to be the receipient of a brand new green apple Hyundai Accent for my birthday. The team at Guelph Hyundai helped to make it very special by first putting a large bow on the car & then taking a picture & posting it on facebook with a note, "Waiting for the birthday gal" . When I arrived I was ushered to the car right away & had my picture taken with the car, Scott & myself for its second posting on facebook. The instruction I received was thorough & informative. Scott & Margaret made this a special experience for me.

The lady who drives the shuttle is AMAZING! She remembered me from months ago and is so friendly and not awkward driving with as some of the shuttle drivers are. The young man behind the counter who served me was also extremely helpful. I changed which dealership i get my service done because of this excellent service :) Only suggestion would be to get lids for the coffee cups :) SInce you are so attentive its really hard to drink your coffee before its time to go!
