I bought my Honda Civic that has about 26,000 km in to get fixed because when I drove it, the check engine light, check ABS, and check power steering lights went on. I had to bring the car in 6 times and on top of that complain to Honda Canada Head office before the issue with my car got fixed. The service advisor named Simon would not supply me with a renter car initially until I complained to Wilson, Assistant Sales Manager. On top of that, the assistant service manager named Alvin was not willing to listen to my concerns about the car. Markham Honda just tried to sell me another car when my current car was still under warranty at about 26,000 km. Very unprofessional people work there

Be VERY, VERY careful if you choose to purchase a car at Markham Honda. They will tell you what you want to hear in order to get you to purchase / lease a car, but double, then triple check the paperwork because there is a 99.9% chance that there is something within the agreement that you didn't want or agree to.

They apparently have 2 sales agreement forms. They will only provide you with a short form agreement where they won't clearly state what is part of the agreement. The form doesn't even show you the purchase price of the vehicle you are getting. They showed my wife the short form agreement when signing the paperwork and the finance manager told her that a price that was listed in the description line was for an extended warranty that she wanted, so she said 'ok'. She didn't get a copy of the sales agreement when she left, so we called the next day asking for one.

It took over a week of calling from us (every day) before they finally sent us the short form agreement. When we looked at the form, we saw that they had given us a $750 rebate on the car, yet, they didn't tell us about the rebate because they ADDED THE REBATE TO THE COST OF THE CAR! They also added a chargeback for a lease, even though we consistently told them that if they did this that we would not get a new car because we were happy with our old one and didn't need a replacement at this time.

Markham Honda are scammers, liars and cheaters and you should stay far away from this dealership. Do yourself a favour and take the extra 10 -15 minutes to find another Honda dealership to buy from. The extra money you spend on gas will easily be less than what Markham Honda steal from you.

Had a great experience with Janice, one of the sales representatives. She was in not in the least the 'pushy salesman' that I've encountered too many times while car shopping - she actually did far more listening than talking, and when she did speak, it was mainly to ask questions to clarify what my needs were. The sales manager, Wilson?, also made me feel very at ease, and went out of his way to make sure I left with a lease fee I was happy with. With the single, small exception of a rude interaction with a financing agent, I had an excellent experience at Markham Honda and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a car.

I purchased a nice used Odyssey. The sales rep. Winni Zhang was wonderful. She was the nicest person I ever bought a vehicle from. She truly done everything to make me happy with the purchase. I was not able to purchase the van at a price lower than advertised. But she did have a couple of items repaired for me at no extra cost. I know it is her job but she worked hard to make me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. Everyone I talked to or came into contact with were helpful and pleasant, starting with the ladies on the front counter to the sales manager. I think they are good people you can trust.

Had the most amazing service thanks to the lovely lady at the cashier desk, Valerie. I was coming in for service and needed a ride to work. She lead me to the lounge and helped me to some coffee and snacks. After 10 minutes she personally came to notify me that the drivers were running a little late and that she would be more than happy to order me an Uber since she knew I was in a rush. Upon arriving to pick up my vehicle, she had everything ready for me to go and made me feel like more than just a customer. I will definitely be coming back to Honda with such great service!

Went in for my annual winter tire change today. The staff at the cashier and service desks were very helpful and polite. However my experience today was very unpleasant. I can't speak about the dealership as a whole however this review is directed particularly at the shuttle service and individual who returns the vehicles to the parking lot after servicing.
So what were the issues? I left my Honda Odyssey at 1:45pm, after which I took a shuttle home. According to my invoice my vehicle was ready since 5:34pm, at around 6:00 I had received a call from the driver telling me that he was on his way. So I waited but my driver never showed up by around 7:45pm I decided to call to check on the driver. I got in touch with the front desk receptionist who told me that the driver confirmed that I no longer needed the shuttle service. I don't know what happened because I did not receive any other call from the driver maybe the driver had me confused with a different client. So to prevent any more delays and to avoid any more issues with shuttle drivers I decided to drive down with a relative and retrieve my vehicle personally. At this point I was willing to forgive the driver because mistakes happen however after retrieving my vehicle and getting ready to go home. I noticed that the rear door indicator was on which means that the rear door of my Honda Odyssey was not fully closed and please note that my vehicle was carrying 4 regular tires with rims attached. So the member of staff who was in charge of putting my tires back into my vehicle and driving it to the parking lot either didn't realize or didn't care that this may have been a safety hazard had I driven off the lot :) Anyways I hope you can improve on these areas if I choose to continue using Markham Honda.

I was not sure to buy a used car or lease a new car yet when I visited here. They got skills and very expensive talk to let me leases a new car. I Paid 500 dollars for some preparation fee and documents stuff, most importantly I paid because and only because seller said it can be refund. Next morning I realize leases cost way more than I expected. I went back to dealer and asked for refunds. They give me back nothing except impatient denial.

I visited today Markham showroom at Kennedy for the first time. I was really disappointed with the customer service/sales staff. I was looking for a Pilot model, a used older model and doing my research. I walked in, some staff were sitting on their tables doing nothing...no greetings not a single word. I looked around at some cars then I approached one of the sales staff and asked about the older model pilot. He searched it up and informed me their is only one outside. He said it’s outside if I wanted to see it. I asked whether it’s open, he said closed. I paused and waited for him to offer opening it and showing me around...he did not. I went alone had a look from the outside and left the show room.

I guess the sales are making good money to the extent they don’t care about one client walking in. Well done!

To be honest to all, I would not recommend this Honda at all. As a customer, we here to buy or lease a car. They promised to get the car you wanted but in the end give you a random clearance color instead. On the promised and scheduled pick-up date, they let you to wait, wait and wait. They didn't give a exact date for you to wait as well. When you have no patience in waiting, you get to the store, the fat manager will let you just chose a clearance or even a demo car instead of a brand new car. Such a ridiculous situation ever! Both the dealers and managers were like this. Offering you a much higher price than the official websites and let you to bargain a bit. I refund in the end. Hope your guys never meet such disappointing people when you buying or leasing a car.

Megan was our sales rep and she did a great job showing us different cars within our budget. We would like to thank her for all the help she provided. I would strongly recommend her to anyone as she didn't rush us, had great knowledge and was patient the entire time. I bought my used Honda Civic from this location a few weeks ago and I am very satisfied with my experience! I’ve been too a few locations but this one definitely had the most options in terms of used cars, as well as the cleanest show room.

I sat down with the sales representative Jerad and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on all the cars. He asked me all the right questions, questions I didn’t even know I wanted answered! He made sure I found a car with everything I needed and in my budget. After me and Jerad found a car I sat down with Danish from the financial team.

I’ve sat down with other vehicle financial advisors before, but Danish was the kindest and most intelligent of them all! He understood that I am a university student and my budget was limited and created a comfortable plan for me. On top of that he laid out every option possible very smoothly and made sure I understood them all. With other locations I felt as if I was just being rushed into buying a car because they wanted to make there commissions but with this team they even stayed at the dealership later than it was open because they wanted to make sure I got the best possible plan!

Let me share my positive and negative experience at this dealership. I’ll keep the name of the dealer that I had a negative experience with anonymous as I’m not that type of person, but I’ll defiantly give credit where it’s due to the dealer that made my experience at this dealership a lot better. This review would have been a 2 star one if not for Ali.

To start off let me say that communication was defiantly not one of the main dealer’s strong points as most of the time he would never respond back to emails. He also made my insurance broker frustrated as he simply did not want to provide him with the documentation required for him to settle my insurance on the car I was purchasing. Not only that but in the end he never even sent the correct finance information to him as originally I was supposed to have finance done through BMO but once it came to signing papers it ended up being TD. So when I requested that he send over the new finance information to my broker he simply never sent him anything, as I’m guessing at this point he didn’t care anymore since the car was off of his hands. Funny because I could remember him mentioning that he’s the type of person that likes to build long lasting relationships with his customer’s so that they could recommend family and friends. Yea… I don’t think that will be happening in this case.

One thing that I’ll admit was partially my fault was when I ended up coming to pick the car up, I’d assumed that on Fridays they were open till 9 p.m. I live in Mississauga so I takes me about 1 hour to get to the dealership with some usual 401 traffic. So, on Friday I messaged the dealer asking when my car would be ready for pick up and at 5:30 p.m he told me that the car has been ready for 2 days now. Not sure why no one bothered telling me anything, even though when I spoke with the person at finance, they said they will let me know. So shortly after I messaged back saying that in that case I would be coming by today (Friday) to pick the car up. Once I got there, it was around 7:30 p.m. and to my surprise, the dealership was closed. Luckily, there was a worker still inside working. Ali, who was still working after hours, was nice enough to open the door and ask me about the situation. Even, though he was not obligated in any way to having to have to help me, he called up his manager and the original dealer I dealt with on what should be done. Apparently, the original dealer said he did respond back to me, saying that they close at 6 p.m. but to this day I’ve never received that email. Ali proceeded to completing the transaction in order to hand the car over to me in a very professional and timely manner.

To my luck, Ali was also the person who originally got the car that I was purchasing; it was a used car, so I was able to ask him any questions the original dealer could not answer or just made up answers to. You read that right, made up answers. When I took the car to my mechanic to look at the car before purchasing it, I had a concern because on the car report there was an insurance claim that was identified as unknown which had me worried. I mentioned this to the mechanic and he mentioned that the side of the car was repainted and that probably that’s what the claim was for. The original dealer said that claim was for replacing a broken window. He even said that’s what the previous owner told the dealership. Pretty expensive window, I’d say, given the claim was for close to 6 grand. When I found out that Ali originally purchased this car I asked him what the claim was for and he said that the previous owner’s neighbour scraped the side of the car while backing out, which would make sense why my mechanic was saying that the side was repainted. Not sure why the first dealer thought it was necessary to lie, he could have just told me he didn’t know what it was for and it wouldn’t have been that big of a deal.

Anyways, I think that’s all I really had to say. Just wanted to give a final thank you to Ali for going above and beyond and showing what true customer service is about.

My parents have been loyal customers to Honda for over 20 years.
I had purchased my first car November 2018 and was disappointed with the car I got. My sister and I had purchased the same model and her tablet and speakers were working just fine. After contacting the manager, my tablet was replaced but the speaker was still the same. I was upset because the manager in this department had told me that my speakers and the tablet would be taken care of. Once I had driven away from the shop I noticed the speaker still vibrating in an unusual manner still. At this time I had no chance to turn around because of traffic and the shop was about to close within the next 5 minutes.

I had contacted Ming who has been servicing my dad out for many years now. Even on his day off this man was able to help me out, that to me shows dedication to his customers. He had kindly asked Jimmy to help me out and go for a quick drive to listen to the issue with the speaker. He knew right off the bat what the issue was and was able to explain to me what it was. To give me a peace of mind, Jimmy had personally serviced my car and fixed the issue.
