I love Sterling Honda, for years I assumed going to any shop was fine, however I've since realized going to a dealership is far better. The price may be a bit more but no one knows your Honda like Honda. The staff here are wonderful, I've never had a bad experience. He took the time to listen and we had an insightful technical discussion regarding the issues I was having, and set me on track to having them rectified. Did have a small issue with a locking lug nut key some miscommunication with Parts and Customer service but in the end Mellisa came through to fix the issue.

Brought my 2017 Honda Civic in for an oil change and tire rotation today. I was told it would be ready in under an hour. Ended up taking 1 1/2 hours. My sterling Honda steel logo and oil change plastic punch card was missing when I got my keys back. I put them on this morning using a knife because the ring was so tight. There is no way they could have come off with out a lot of effort. I was very embarrassed to bring this up to Eric, but he claims they weren't on in the first place. I was very tempted to call the police, but calmed down because it is a very minor theft. But someone did take them off from the time they left Eric till I got them back. I left in shock that this would happen in a Honda dealership. When I got to work, one of my co workers also had a terrible experience there in the service department too. Very upset with this service .

I'm currently thinking of getting a CR-V so his expertise was appreciated. I didn't have time for a test drive but hope to return. BEWARE OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
They will upsale you services that are not required. I purchased a vehicle here in November. Before the deal was finalized I was told the vehicle was up to date on maintenance. It is now August and I went in for an oil change and inspection. They recommended a few additional services and now all of a sudden I am paying over $850. I couldn't help but feel ripped off. I then saw that they flushed and replaced my brake fluid, which raised alarms for me. I then called the sales representative that sold me the car and he clarified to me that when he sold me the vehicle the brake fluid was flushed and replaced. There's no way the brake fluid would need to be replaced within 9 months! On average it is about 3 years! Who knows if I even needed the other services done, especially since everything was perfectly fine the last time it was serviced. Even if you have warranty here I suggest you go elsewhere for services. Or only come in for services if you legitimately feel that there's something wrong with your vehicle or you have a good understanding of cars. On top of everything I specifically requested a complimentary car wash and didn't receive it. Even after paying $877 for the services and waiting 4 and a half hours! Unbelievable...

Recently, my a/c broke on my civic, and they were quick to order the part. Unfortunately, it's dangerous for me not to have A/C when it's very hot. Sterling Honda was VERY quick to get me into a rental car with an A/C until they were able to get my car fixed.

If you're going to purchase a Honda in Hamilton this is the place to do it. I was treated with respect and received phenomenal customer service from Tiago. During my test drive all questions were answered intelligently and I was not given the runaround on anything. My trade in value was incredibly reasonable as well as the entire process in regards to finance. I cannot stress enough this is the only Honda dealership you should deal with in Hamilton. Last week i went for car engine diagnostics because my car was making noise. I was happy that they find the problem and fix that one. But after that they are giving everyone for free car wash at end and after washing my car this is what happened you can see in photos. Before washing my car colour was good but after completely body is filled with scratches. They mentioned reason that car was dirty but my question is why we are washing our cars??? And if it was dirty and you know that this will happen why they didn’t inform me???

As per my experience, i will not recommend every customer to do FREE CAR WASH.

I just got my Civic 2015 for a safety inspection needed to register the car. I had been told by Kyle-the-mechanic that my car would not pass because the wiper blades are not good, I have a burnt bulb, and the back rotors need to be machined or changed.
2 days ago I went with the same car to a different shop and I have the bill from there stating I needed front brake pads, and a bulb. I changed the pads and the bulb , so I expected all to be well. I guess Kyle has a different opinion and he figured is better to invent some other reasons so my car would fail.
I had not been provided what are the minimum measurements for the rotors to pass. Moreover, if these were ok 2 days ago ( I only drove the car to home meanwhile) how come today they are not good? I have the bill from the other shop where is nothing mentioned about the back brakes.
My understanding is that all the inspectors should perform this safety inspection in one way and what is found good or bad should not differ from one shop to another.
I believe this dealer through their workers, knows very well the business of "finding" things to be changed at premium rates. To machine rotors I had been asked almost $400, and close to $500 to change them. I can buy the entire back kit for$150 and install it myself.
I opened a case at Honda Canada - 01411274 and I intend to take my car tomorrow to a shop were I will get the measurements and file a complaint with Sterling Honda and if not resolved, I will file a complaint with the Ministry of Consumer Services.
I had just been on the phone with Steve - the Service Manager and I will bring my car tomorrow to be re-inspected. I need to know what are the requirements for wiper blades to pass the safety and how come the bulb I just changed two days ago got burnt? Need to tell you I used gloves to put the new bulb...
Will see how that goes, but I am still posting this because I lost time and money.

Only gave this place a 3 star as this is my dealership and they have not yet contacted me about my recall. I know Honda sends you mail about it normally. Just a phone call/email or mail would be appreciated. I have a stain in my interior as well that I have tried to get them to take out twice when detailed both times. I have called and their detail guy only comes in on certain days. It would be inconvenient to take a day off for such a small 5 inch stain. Customer service was great and had no reflection on staff. Just a bit disappointed with lack of contact. Purchasing and financing my car here was great. No follow ups from Sterling to ask about oil changes/services. Maybe you guys could improve on customer contact and service info or offers.

I purchased an '06 Civic a little over a month ago from Mitch and he made the entire process a breeze. He was very informative when I was test driving/initially inspecting the car, and wasn't pushy at all—that is, it didn't seem like his enthusiasm was purely to get a commission. When I agreed to purchase it, Mitch ensured all my needs were met and that I was completely satisfied with the price and the amenities I received before leaving the dealership. I had a few minor issues with the car a few weeks later, but Mitch was readily available (e.g. answering texts at 10pm) and talked me through the whole process. He quickly got my car into the service centre and made sure I didn't pay a cent. Mitch also checked on me afterwards to ensure everything was running smoothly and that I had no more concerns.

I have not taken possession of my car yet, However dealing with Alex as a sales staff made my buying experience excellent. He was low pressure, I gave him the price I was looking to get and told him if he couldn't meet it, I was going elsewhere.

I think the bottom line is with today's technology at your finger tips, you really should be doing 90% of your own research. The Test drive will tell you the rest. Sales staff will sell you whatever they are selling. They'll never say "this is not the right car for you..." They are in the business of making money, or they wouldn't be there. To all the impossible to please people, You are just as much at fault as the dealership is. I can see both sides of the story and really, as a smart consumer you should protect yourself and do your research and make an informed decision.

I knew I wanted a honda, I knew affording a honda was a concern, so I figured out what I could deal with paying, I figured out what their margins were, and realized if I negotiated the price down, I could afford the car I wanted. I Brought that to the table, negotiated a satisfactory reduction off MSRP that allowed me to buy a car from Sterling Honda.

Alex was able to meet it, and just let me know two days ago that they found my car and it is incoming. I was expecting to wait much longer so, so far I am very impressed.

From a sales perspective, I'd rate this dealership 5 stars. I'll update once I take possession and have my first service done.

My Sales Guy was Alex, and he was very laid back and casual. He never called me unless I asked him to, and he was very quick to respond to all e-mails. I would recommend him again, However, he was just a "facilitator" I walked in knowing what I wanted. I did like that he let my Wife and I go on a test drive on our own. Never at any point did I feel "stressed" and he has dealt with my daily "is it there yet" e-mails with the patience of a saint.

Overall, a great experience.
