Vehicle was way overpriced, first of all. Second, these people are dishonest and sneaky. Denied me the warranty after a few months of waiting for the paperwork to go through, even though I had specifically requested the warranty in the first place as part of the purchase. Now I'm looking at a faulty part which is going to cost me over 500 to get fixed. Terrible service, buddy was supposed to get back to me about fixing this and, surprise, it's been months with nothing having been done. Do NOT recommend.

He was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to show me what options were available at different price points. Initially, we were nervous to use a car dealership as we had only bought cars privately in the past. We ended up having a really great experience at Yellowknife Motors! We felt comfortable and Jack found us exactly what we were looking for in no time! Honestly, we will never go anywhere else to purchase a car again! Thanks so much Jack for finding us the perfect vehicle! Chris was very pleasant to deal with too- I was terrified of the negotiation part but Chris was fair and reasonable! Each time we came in for repairs, etc they were so pleasant and helpful- and Jack and Chris made sure to come over and make us feel welcome! The only complaint that I have is that they don’t let you use your credit card for very much of the purchase (I was hoping to get the points) or maybe that was poor negotiation on my part! Ha!

We first time vehicle owner is learn our lesson at YK motors. Financing a used vehicle only to have the vehicle in the shop next few weeks for a month I’m in a rental. Weeks later vehicle in shop again. Only to find out it’s not safe to drive by dodge mechanics and I had my son in car while travelling. Not only did YK motors sold me a faulty car they also doubled my warranty and tire prices. Also they noted for my car was NEW?!? Be carefully with YK Motors and read paper work carefully. Test drive the car first and make sure everything works. Warranty most importantly or you will be stuck buy parts that are not covered under warranty. Warranty shouldn’t be over 3Gs and tires shouldn’t be over $500. I went with Dodge. I highly recommend Dodge.
Recently upgraded to a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer RS. It is a beauty of a vehicle! YK Motors has a friendly team and they keep the whole place very clean which I appreciate. Sold us a vehicle, with hidden issues that posed a significant risk to safety for the driver and passengers. Took it into and mechanical shop and I was notified that one of the wheels was ready to fall off.
Perhaps if they did a proper mechanical inspection this wouldn't have happened, they're lucky they barely missed being sued for this.
Great service. Rented a vehicle. Will use them again. Kim was wonderful. 2019 Equinox out to Behchoko and back in a snowstorm was ideal. Probably wouldn't have made it if they didn't offer the right price for that SUV.

You feel like your family at YK motors. Unfortunately, its quite pricey.
It must have been the first time dealing with a car rental place when the experience was actually pleasant and I didn't feel like someone's trying to squeeze me for money! They're very different than most big rental corps. Exhibit A: they actually made sure I did *not* pay extra insurance (as it was covered by my credit card), exhibit B: even though I rented a car for a day, they were super flexible with hours (I still paid for 24h).

Both of the Aarons were very helpful in getting us our new vehicle.
First, I asked for the $120.00 44 point inspection, and to be notified if any other costs were required. They did $80.00 of work in addition without notifying me.
Second, I asked for a quote for the problem with my break system. Their quote included additional services which I had not asked for, and which were not needed, to the tune of twice as much as the work I actually needed done.
Third, Yellowknife Motors said I needed new callipers for my break system ($300-500 with labour included), and I got two other estimates from other mechanics who said I "definitely do not need" new callipers and "your callipers are fine."
