My wife and I had an appointment at 10:30 or so to come and test drive a truck and potentially buy it. We live in Amherstburg so it’s a decent drive out there. We get within 10 minutes of the dealership, and they call us saying the truck had been sold. Obviously had offered apologies and what not. I understand things happen , but is there no communication? It’s not like someone had come in right before us with a cash offer they could not refuse, apparently the truck had been sold days prior and when the guy we spoke to went to bring it up for us to see. Someone said “ what are you doing that truck is sold” pretty un professional. Went out and bought a truck the same day else where. And I know I’m not the only one that has had dissatisfaction with ken Knapp ford. Pretty annoying when you set up a baby sitter and what not to get all the way there , and then get that phone call.

My son recently traded his 2018 RAM 2500 with a Cummins and 6 speed manual for a 2020 F250 Super Duty with the new 7.3 Gorilla Gasser. We live in London and the dealer worked fairly with my son and gave him a good deal. I just can't quite get used to a Ford sharing my driveway with my RAM. But truth be told; he has a really nice truck and that new engine mated to the 10 speed is a sweet setup.

I was thinking of trading in my few years old F-150 pick up truck to a 2019 or 2020 new F-150 a months ago and visited all three Ford dealership in the Windsor area. I found that Ken Knapp is the best one. Salesperson Patrick is friendly, helpful and most importantly he is honest and trustworthy. He helped me to make up my mind and picked up my favorite truck with the best price. Unlike other dealerships he and other staff at Ken Knapp Ford do not give you any pressure and do not try to test you to see if they can get more money out of you. He just simply give you the best rock bottom price right at first meeting. You won't have to waste any time to get best deal. I am very happy with my purchasing experience and highly recommend Ken Knapp For and Patrick. A little more driving out of town is worthwhile.

Of course since my father was an electrician at Ford Motor and I am a 36 year former electrician and my son is currently at Essex engine, I am partial to Ford Vehicles. I was recommended to Paul; Dunn by my foreman years ago and have enjoyed going out to Ken Knapp Ford and found the treatment received excellent. (good coffee). The past while I have been experiencing failing health and though I can still do short trips, I had my son and daughter drive me to have the Ford Escape serviced. My daughter Had look at the Edge. Had an issue with the heater in the driver side seat. Brought vehicle in, was assessed, part ordered and re-scedualed an appointment all within a few minutes. Brough vehicle back, part was installed and now works perfectly. Knapp team was informative, attentive, and insured i was happy before leaving. Although, the service was completed quickly, cashier couldn’t tell me anything and the service. Had to go into the garage to speak with a service reception person. Technician didn’t cleanup properly. After sitting in the garage overnight, there was a large oil spot on the floor. This also happened on the previous oil change from Ken Knapp. Looks like a systemic allowance from management.

Dealing with Ron Van Mackleberg for the last couple of years for our last two family vehicles has been a great experience at Ken Knapp Ford! Ron has gone above and beyond our expectations and always puts us right into something that suits our family of 8! We got our 2017 Expedition from him almost two years ago and just traded in for a 2019 Expedition because we just needed more trunk room for our family road trips. My experience was fantastic! I have purchased so many vehicles over the years both new and used. I have experienced many different interactions some good some very good yes and even some that were not so good. From the first moment I contacted both Austin Ewen and Ed Eyraud I felt has if I were there only customer. I originally considered purchasing a used F150 then decided that a shinny new 2019 Ranger was my choice. Even though they are both located ion the used car location they were extremely helpful. I took my vehicle in for the very first time at Ken Knapp and I have to say that it was a very "top notch" experience. I would like to start by saying we are loyal Ford fans presently owning 4 Ford products
We have had various drive train repairs done on our 2012 Focus all at the another dealership we purchased it from.
Initial transmission repair took them 3 tries before they made it drive-able.
After that it was annoying to drive due to inconsistencies in the way it shifted.
We put up with this for several years since it was drive-able but not the quality that i have grown to appreciate in my Fords.
Once again it became undrive-able, however this time we had heard good things about Ken Knapp Ford so we gave them a try.
Matthew at the service desk was very sharp and answered all our questions giving us confidence.
The car was repaired and honestly shifts better than when new.
Great job. Ford service at Ken Knapp gets 2 thumbs up

I took our 2010 Edge in for the passenger side air bag recall. I was told that it would take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete. I waited in the customer waiting area. In less than 30 minutes it was done. Unfortunately, when i got in the vehicle the air bag cover was now a dark grey and did not match my black interior. The cover was also flat and not shiny like the rest of the interior. I went back into the service advisor, Matthew, who informed me that is what they are being told to install in the vehicles and there was nothing he could do about it. Very disappointing to have a non matching but safer interior.

Due to an oversight of booking on Ken Knapps end, they asked me to rebook and they would pick up the tab. GREAT!

After the work I got a laundry list of issues that needed to be addressed. It would have been better to tell me before the car was done so I could review with the technician the severity of the issues and what was critical or not. But as it was the vehicle was already done so I couldn't verify. Also no car wash was done. Not sure why.

1st impression of Ken Knapp Ford was a disappointment 2 years ago when an oil change on my new Mustang went very wrong. Car is only driven summers and minimal kms so no opportunity to have her serviced in 2018 as per General Manager's request to give them another chance. Was a little gun shy but this spring opted to give them another opportunity. Service department did not make me feel welcome or appreciated. Will go elsewhere. #twostrikesyouareout
RESPONSE TO KEN KNAPP FORD's RESPONSE: Your staff was anything but helpful or consistent given the different advice I was provided with on the two occasions of the 19th and 25th. The tone and content of our conversation on the 25th was not welcoming or supportive. Remember I was back to your dealership as per your offer to me so that your dealership could have the opportunity to improve on the service problems that were previously inflicted on my new Mustang in June 2017. You folks wanted me back. Here I am. Whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, your email was in poor taste and poor business etiquette. I have dealt with a lot of Ford dealers since I purchased my first New Ford nearly 40 years ago. I have never had an equivalent negative experience such as I have experienced with your dealership this past week.
Perhaps you folks should reflect on how this could have been handled in a more positive manner before alienating a long standing Ford customer. Thank you but I have no intention of returning to your dealership, there are other Ford Dealers here in southern Ontario. Good Day.

I'm not even sure where to start with the Ken Knapp dealership. It's an incredible mix between the service department, parts, new AND used car sales.
I purchased my 2014 Focus ST from Marlene Sinclair about 1 year ago now and it was a great deal. Ken Knapp Ford doesn't practice the same shady business tactics as other dealerships I've been to. They don't have huge mark-ups on vehicles where they expect you to haggle with them. the prices are fair and the salespeople treat you like a respectful human being. Marlene also pretty much taught me how to drive standard in the Focus since it was my first manual vehicle and she gave some great pointers!
The service department has also done wonders. There has never been a disagreement on what type of work/ service needed to be done to my vehicle. When it comes to other dealerships, there are usually disagreements on whether something is covered under warranty, or they speak to you like you don't understand anything about maintenance and try to up-sell you on certain things. The guys at Ken Knapp service department like Roberto and Matt will telly you if they really think your vehicle is in need of something and will tell you straight up what the situation is. I've never dealt with a mechanic or service technician like the people at this dealership.
I live about a 5 minute walk from a different Ford dealership in Windsor, but I always make the far drive out to Essex to see the people at Ken Knapp. They appreciate people's business and they truly show it.

I bought Mustang 2016 from Don Harris at Ken Knapp who got me a very good price in my budget.
I went for service and Roberto over there is really helpful. One good unique quality about him is he patiently listens to you, your concerns about your 2nd biggest investment, IE your car and gets that fixed perfectly. Even the service manager is kind and discusses your concerns without a hurry.

The service was very good but I would prefer to have a more thorough checkup and just be done with it. It was a 3 day ordeal and it was nice to have a ride but much rather drive myself. I am still a bit concerned about the way it is running but it seems ok. I just want to try to keep it as new if I can. I bought this truck thinking I would get 5 or more years hassle free and now it is costing money before I thought it should. The plugs were the worst at under 100000 K .

My vehicle broke down on Fri July 1. It was a holiday. I had it towed to Ken Knapp Ford, fillout one of the envelopes they provide for after hours drop offs and left the keys in the lock box. I did not expect to hear from them until the Monday after the holiday. However much to my surprise, they were open the next day Sat July 2. Someone from the service dept called me first thing Saturday morning. I let him know I was already booked at Ken Knapp for later in the week for regular service. So if they were too busy, I could wait. The gentleman asked me some questions. He said they could accommodate me that day and they would also do the oil change and check the brakes to save me two visits in one week. I received a call later that day. They found the problem. The issue was covered under an extended warranty. My brakes were not quite ready to be done. They could wait until the next service. So I only had to pay for the oil change. My vehicle was washed and ready to go Saturday afternoon. Everyone I dealt with in the service dept were very friendly and helpful. I have used their service dept for years. I trust them to tell me the truth and do a great job. This and every experience I've had at Ken Knapp Ford from sales to service has always turned out well. They are a great group of competent, professional, friendly people. I'm so glad they are here!
