Car Servicing

In the past 18 months the following has been my experience with the aftercare department, aside from regular oil and filter changes which I have had no issue with.

I spent $1000 on fixing a squeal when reversing, the problem disappeared for approximately 3 days then returned, unfortunately the $1000 did not likewise return.

I proactively asked for new wiper blades, I got them and 2-3 services later, which for me is around 4-6 months, I was advised they needed to change my wipers. Not sure if that was just an attempt at an add on or if the previously purchased pair were terrible quality, but I hadn't noticed any streaking myself in the 160km of driving I do daily.

Third my car decided that on short trips, usually my lunch trips, the car would start and then die. It never did this first start in the morning, or when returning from work. I was told it was a faulty sensor, which was duly replaced $500. Conveniently when fitting the sensor they noticed a fuel line damage, which could also be the problem (but didn't you just say it was the $500 sensor?) so the damaged line was also changed $100 and the car was off the road overnight. That still did not fix the problem so they decided it was indeed the fuel pump... they agreed to cover labour if I bought the part... which is kind of nice... but what about the $600 I just spent that seemingly did nothing and didn't need fixing? Oh well, at least I have a shiny fuel line and a brand new sensor.

That fuel pump.. well, I drove around for a few days and came to get gas. Unfortunately for Pioneer Gas Station, I had a hat on and couldn't hear what was going on as I attempted to fill my car. I got $38 in when a lady drew my attention to the huge flow of gas gushing from the other side of my car and all over the forecourt. As my fuel tank level was not going down faster than normal with what was existing in my tank, I can only conclude that the place where you put the fuel pump doesn't actually go in to the fuel tank anymore. So I now take the car back for the 4th day off work.

He explained that I can actually get in to a newer vehicle, with many features I was looking for, but assumed I couldn't afford. Northway, Dustin and the managers made everything quick and easy. I met Chad Murphy almost 3 years ago and have been working with him ever since. He is one of the few car salesman that I have seen that does an outstanding job of building relationships with his customers. That is evidenced by the number of people that he has helped in and around the Brantford area. Chad is extremely knowledgeable in the auto arena. He is also one of the most honest people I know. He maintains contact with his customers by sending them physical cards in the mail when they purchase their vehicle with a picture of them and their new vehicle on the front of the card. It's a keepsake for them. He sends everyone birthday cards and if he follows them on FB or knows of some important event that is happening, he sends them a card acknowledging it. In a nutshell, he makes sure his customers are happy and makes sure they know it's more than just a financial transaction! He cares! I haven't been in the market for a new vehicle but when I am, I won't hesitate to go and see Chad! I refer as much business as I can to him because I have confidence that he will look after them!

We have recently had an amazing experience shopping at Northway Ford with their sales associate Mack.
We had been looking for a car for months and had visited over 20 dealerships ready to buy. At all other dealerships the staff were not knowledgeable or willing to help. We decided to take the trip from Toronto to Northway Ford because they had a huge selection of used cars.
We were greeted immediately after arriving (on a Sunday!) by Mack who went above and beyond in helping us narrow down options with so much patience and knowledge while understanding our needs and respecting our budget.
You can find a car at any dealership but service was really the most important for us and Mack delivered the best service in every way.
We found the car we wanted, it is ready for us exactly when we requested, they made the process quick and easy and we were able to agree on a price that worked within our budget.
We are super happy that we waited to give our service to Northway Ford and that we were lucky enough to have Mack as our sales guy ! We would definitely recommend them and will be returning there to purchase our next car.

My experience at Northway Ford was amazing! This was my first time purchasing a car and I had booked a couple of test drives late Saturday evening. Sean Coates responded first thing Sunday morning and invited me to stop by if I had time that Sunday. Upon arrival I expressed my nervousness about buying a vehicle and he assured me he would do everything he could to help me out. He answered every single question I had and I had found the car that I loved. I had some things to finalize before buying the vehicle and was going to come in on the Monday. Sean came in on his day off (Monday) and was so extremely helpful and even let me test drive a few more vehicles before making my final decision! We purchased a used (2016 F150) truck from Northway this year with a broken sunroof with the promise the roof would be replaced with a new roof. It After multiple trips back and forth with service we cannot get a sunroof that meets Ford new sunroof specs. We had to return it multiple times for repairs to the roof even after it was replaced as different parts of the 'new' Ford roof were broken. Broken to the point of the whole thing being stuck open. It was broken on the lot and I was recently told that it was broken by someone test driving it that tried to open it while it was frozen.
We are finally at a point where it opens and closes and doesn't leak but the front and back glass will not line up and the tint on the two pieces of glass don't match anymore. Our dealings with the service manager Al Banks have been pleasant and he has been easy to work with. He has gone above and beyond to accommodate the hastle this sunroof has created for us and if I could leave my review there I would. We unfortunately have been directed back to the used sales manager Devon now. The dealership cannot seem to give us a 'new' sunroof and Devon just gives you a runaround story with a smirk. We have basically been accused of being too picky and if the roof functions that's all we can get from them. Hopefully the parts and labor warranty we have been told we have isn't also part of his salesman stories as I have zero confidence that after as few trips through the car wash we won't be dealing with a sunroof that leaks again.
Having spent my own life working in sales and customer service the conversations we have had with Devon specifically are NOT how you keep a customer with your business.

Bought a 2016 F150 from this dealership since I needed a new work truck.

Purchased it during rainy weather and picked it up in rainy weather. So it was impossible to do a through inspection on pick up.

After a week I noticed the rear rotors were warped, fogs cracked and windshield had a ton of deep scratches and spider cracked stone chips. Once washing it. I noticed the truck was commercial use and was sold to me as a personal use vehicle.

The service department warrantied the fog lights and the detailer remedied the previous vinyl on the truck which was great.

The windshield... the sales manager refused to fix and I was only offered machining of the warped rotors.

Buying a newer truck. I expected it to be properly safetied and it was not.

So I now have had to purchase a new windshield and brakes + rotors on my newly purchased truck.

Very disappointed since I paid the asking price and did not get what I paid for.

Going to give service 5 stars for doing their best.
Finance person 5 stars for getting everything done in a timely manner.
1 star for the bad safety and lack of customer care with those respects.

I am not going to bad mouth the dealer. But I am extremely disappointed with the lack of solving the severe issues. I needed a safe vehicle for my daughter. To insure it's safe. I now have to dish out the cash on my own this week.

My wife and I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape with Ashley Muscat in January of this year. We visited on a very cold and snowy weekend to test drive various SUV's. Ashley would pull the vehicles around to the front of the building and have the heat just perfect for our drive. After a few trips we had decided on our Escape and were taken into the main building where we had complimentary hot beverages as we waited for finance.

Mike Pizzuti was in charge of our financing. We had never purchased a vehicle through financing and did not know what to expect from the process (other than memories as children sitting in a dealership bored to tears). Mike made the process quick, simple and was more than happy to answer questions while making sure we fully and completely understood everything involved.

When we arrived a few days later to pick up the vehicle, Ashley had everything in order and ready to roll. We quickly finished up the paperwork with Mike and were on our way in under 20-30 minutes.

Mike and Ashley made our vehicle purchase a positive experience. Both were very personable and knowledgeable. I can also say the other employees who we saw in passing were also very personable and helpful.
