I called multiple times and emailed the GM for numbers on a vehicle I wanted to move quickly on.
No one returned my calls or emails.
I've purchased 5 Silverado trucks from Herron and the sales team and service dep't has been absolutely the best... I live in Halifax and wouldn't buy from anywhere else other than Herron in NG
The Service Dept. is AWESOME. Andrew and Rachael took great care of us. We had to have an RV towed 60 miles (100Km) to them after being stranded for 2 days in a small town. We got there at 4pm, they diagnosed the issue, fixed it and had us on our way by 5pm. We thought we might be there for a couple days with a major problem. It was such a relief and so wonderful to encounter such great service and VERY caring people. Nova Scotia folks have been so kind and caring. THANKS A BUNCH
Worst possible dealership in the county. Managing partner has no regard for customer service, has staff doing tasks that arent business/job related, releasing employees for non existant reasons, corruption and only cares if it makes a dollar. Service department on the other hand are great staff that pride in their work, with a great Service Manager. tl;dr - The service staff are what makes the dealership run, while the owner/management dont have a care in the world for customers.
I've always felt ripped off by garages run by car dealerships until I had urgent work done on my vehicle at this business.
I knew what work I needed done and they told me within $20 how much it would cost after taking a look.
They then proceeded to provide me with other repairs associated if I'd want the work done and told me the prices beforehand. There was no pressure, no "You need this work done." etc...
I've returned since out of respect for the respect shown.
I have mostly used the service center. And this place beats many hands down. Thank you for the repairs and allowing my vehicle to keep moving, great service team.
My wife bought her new car there a week or so I go .. our salesman Gord was terrific

Great to sell you a vehicle but if you have a problem with it ,they turn their backs on you,Such as in our case,our 2020 colorado went off the for no reason ,,GM blamed us ,But put on a new steering rack as requested by GM legal .Also put on other steering parts,,At no cost to me or my insurance,,It was put on under warranty ,,,{WHY}????????Have they paper work to prove these facts also have of video of the truck steering itself ,with no 1 in it
Great place to break down at. My 2010 Cobalt jumped timing on the highway. I managed to drive into their service check in and it died. This was 3:30pm so they couldn't fit me in. No problem. Next day I get the bad news that after only 120000km engine is shot. Common problem with 2.2 Liter engine.
John Landry gave me a couple of options to consider and I decided to install a used engine as proposed. They were prompt courteous and gave me a competitive price. Actually came $100 less than quoted. Clean installation, drove the 100 km back home no issues.
Please support this dealership and help keep a great team of service people employed.

Expect long wait times due to mix ups and parts misordering when you frequently return to service the lemons they sell. Did not honor warranty work which was happily performed elsewhere by another dealer in the province.
My wife and I purchased a truck from Herron. We had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with Mitch, new to the sales team there. He was great in providing service and continues to do so anytime we need anything. Mitch even went as far as to offer his own vehicle when we were in the purchase process as we were short a vehicle to travel to work and back, very accommodating and thoughtful!

Lots of new cars on sight
Sold me a used vehicle that I was assured was safety inspected (sticker) recently and was in good working order. Needless to say, a short time later it basically fell apart. Exhaust fell apart, ball joints and rotors corroded and heavily rusted, fuel like leaks etc. It will cost more to repair and make it legal to drive than I just paid for it. Not sure who (if anyone) is actually inspecting their inventory, or if they are just slapping stickers on death traps to get them out the door. Im contacting department of transportation, regardless. Im out 5k while already struggling financially out of work veteran, which they knew when they sold it to me. Typical snakes and thieves. Local mechanic/family friend told me I'll be lucky to get $800 for it. Thanks a lot Herron, for making my bad situation 5k dollars worse.

Fast service and friendly people
Had problems with my heater after getting a cd player installed at Highland Audio only blowing cold air and only out of the vents on the dash. They charged me 75 dollars for a diagnostic plus tax and told me my HVAC module was gone got a used one at Miller's auto salvage in Maitland which cost me 30 dollars only to find out that wasn't the problem. So after 116 dollars plus lost time at work another 50 dollars. Today I went to Hann Automotive in Pictou and they traced the wires back from the actuator and found that Highland Audio had the plug from the heater and stereo reversed. And the gm dealer is supposed to be the expert. Never again will I go there. Hann Automotive in Pictou from now on. They are very knowledgeable and reasonable rates.
