( Massive time wasters) I told the salesperson how much I was willing to spend on a specfic vehicle plus trading my own vehicle on top, a deal he came up with as the vehicle was just out of my price range. I told him that if he couldn't make that deal work not to waste either of our time as that is all I was willing to lay out but he insisted that he could give me a certain amount for my old vehicle which would make up for the difference on top of what I was will to pay cash, I did not want any finance.
I went back with my car to make the deal and after an hour of waiting around he gave me repayment options for the full price of the vehicle after I insisted I did not want finance and then offered me a ridiculously low offer for my car and told me to just get rid of the old figure out of my head as it wasn't realistic even though he came up with the figure in the first place. It wasted a large portion of my day and could of easily been avoided if he was just honest with me in the first place and said that they could not make that deal

I took my vehicle in when the engine was overheating. After inspection, I was advised that a full tune up which included replacing all of my spark plugs and spark plug wires would guarantee a fix. I said I needed them to be sure since was selling the vehicle once I got to Manitoba.

Guaranteed.

Two hours into my journey, I break down with the same problem. The service manager sends me to the next closest dealership in Merritt to ensure their work was done correctly. I assumed Barnes Wheaton were covering this bill, they did not.

It took me ten days to putter home from their guarantee that cost me $1500. When I got home, I replaced the heater core for under $100 and that fixed my problem.

Call them to put in the order for c8 corvette and was told by the dealer that they will only sell 10 000 over MSRP. All other dealers I called are selling as sticker. Gm flag is a bunch of scammers. GO TO Dueck on marine if you wanna save some money

We purchased our vehicle from Barnes Wheaton around 2 years ago and ran into some issues recently so I brought the vehicle to the service department. We thought it was just an alignment issue however when I drove the vehicle home I realized the vehicle was still having problems so I called them and they had me come in right away and walked through the issue with me, took it for a test drive and figured everything out without stressing me out. They listened, provided me with a rental vehicle, didnt pressure me in any kind of way and communicated by giving me updates daily. DO NOT deal with these guys! They flat out refused to honour their online advertised price and didn't even try to make an offer or a deal with me. Then they literally laughed at me when I walked out the door! It seems the Sales Manager Tony would rather throw his Marketing team under the bus than make a sale to someone who called ahead with the truck I wanted and was ready to pay cash for it. Their Sales guy David also did not seem to know about many of the features on the truck even after I pointed them out to him. I would give a 0 rating if I could. I called Eagle Ridge and bought the same truck with better options for a great price the following day!

My salesman David knew his inventory and his selling points. He worked with me to get me a great price, and even waited for months until I was ready to buy.

Claudia the Finance officer likewise was very knowledgeable about her department. She knew every single item on her to-do list and didn't waste any time but also went out of her way to answer every question I had, no matter how basic. She didn't pressure me into buying anything that was beyond my budget.

I have yet to deal with the service staff, but based on the conduct of the sales staff I have no doubts they're just as professional! I'm looking forward to dealing with Barnes Wheaton GM North Surrey for as long as I have my car!

If I could give a negative score I would for the service department.

Brought our car into the service dept for a check engine light on, left with the same issue but $600 lighter. Mechanics seem to replace parts not needed then inflate actual repairs needed after the fact. Got the actual repair done at another mechanic shop for half the price and now the car runs excellent.

Going to the dealership for service past the warranty period is a rip off, costs for parts and labour are totally inflated!!!

DO NOT LET THESE GUYS TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE!!!
We called the dealership when the key wouldn't come out of the ignition.
Yup, there is a problem , but it is covered under warranty. Fantastic!
Spoke face to face with an advisor- yes it is a special coverage item, no problem!
We had the car towed to the dealership at our expense ( by this time the battery was dead because the key was stuck in the forward position)

We get a call a couple of days later saying that the key was out, but the car needed a new battery and alternator ( they were "fried"), and they wouldn't do the warranty item now because they got the key out. Quote for a battery and alternator was 1500.00 plus a diagnostic fee of 160.00 Um.. No.
We had the car towed out of there, and then found out it was running just fine!! 2 other mechanics have looked at it since, and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the battery or alternator.
They are scam artists pure and simple

Food Finds

Body shop staff at Barnes Wheaton, Collin and Sonja were friendly and beyond accommodating. They helped turn my bad experience of being rear-ended before Christmas time into a pleasant and stress free experience. Had my car fixed within a week and provided me with a brand new Chevy Malibu as a courtesy car. Great customer service is hard to find nowadays and I’m very glad I found it here.

This dealership ripped off an old lady who is our family friend. She went in to get her car serviced, and the dealership took advantage of her (due to her age and being alone) and sold her a brand new vehicle that she did not need. Her old car was working just fine. To make matters worse, they sold her a 2015 model when the paperwork and payment reflected 2016. Bunch of scumbags do not go to this dealership!!!

If it would be an option to give 0 or negative stars I would have done that ....went to the dealership for 2016 Chevrolet Spark the sales guy was enough to respect the customer and explain all the stuff ....but the finance guy with them insulted me and showed me the door .... I negotiated a price with him and he got furious on me and started insulting me ....that I cannot even pay a small amount and harassed me to go outside with him talk ....... Real bad customer service and on top of that abusing me that you cannot even pay such amount .....that's ridiculous ....
All the reviews which says don't go there are very true everything is true about there customer service and the experience your gonna have with these guys ....... I read all these reviews and still went there thinking that It could happen once in 100 times but it seems that happens every time anybody goes there ....... I will never ever ever go there in my entire life and never suggest my family too to go there and get themselfs insulted and spoil your mood of buying a Chevy .....

We were having a minor issue with the driver's side heated seat not working properly and brought it in to Barnes Wheaton. Luckily for us it was a recalled part and they fixed my car in about 40 minutes (for free due to the recall) and I was back on the road in no time. The Staff was super friendly too. Thanks again guys.
