Had an amazing experience with the service department at Weidner. I booked my vehicle in for a brake inspection after hearing some noise coming from my front brake. Half an hour later, my vehicle had been inspected, no damage done by the rock? that created the sound. The service tech explained and showed me what condition my breaks were in, which gave me peace of mind. Excellent service from all involved.
BEST Dealership in Alberta, no "bull" just real people doing the best they can for their customers. A true bright light when compared to other dealerships.
This review reflects on service only, as I had an amazing experience with sales and finance. TL;DR: I'm tired of buying new vehicles and having them in the shop more than my beaters and paying for stuff I shouldn't. After today, myself or anyone I know will no longer deal with this business. I have purchased 2 new vehicles from Weidners in the last 14 months. The first being a new Equinox that had issues after the first few months when cold weather hit. I took it in almost weekly over 3 months to deal with the same issue that was never resolved. I then purchased a new Blazer which immediately needed a new headlight and seemed like it was a big deal to be covered under warranty. I took it in for the first oil change and asked for a tire rotation. I was refused the rotation due to the front tires being better condition than the back. I questioned the oddness of this (being it's a front wheel drive) at that time but nothing came out of it. I noticed the back tires were wearing bad on the outside and booked it in to be looked at. It was found that the whole vehicle was out of alignment in front and back. I was charged for this alignment and was told I should purchase a new set of tires from them. I argued this and brought up the previous rotation request that was denied, where this could have been diagnosed earlier, but was told there was "Just nothing they could do". As stated previously, I will not be back here in any capacity.
I highly recommend this dealership and its staff. I was left stranded on Friday evening a half an hour before closing and not only did they actually have the part in stock for my radiator troubles but I was able to get a technician to come out and repair me on the side of QE2 with my RV on the hitch behind me, my dog and my kid in the back seat, and a rather perplexed wife of staring at me. These guys went above and beyond the Call of Duty, had me back up and running, and on our way to our holiday once again can't say enough good things about these guys.
Received 5 star service from this service department. Everything was prompt and professional. I was heard, the situation dealt with and my car back to me quickly...without a fuss. Most often my dealer experiences are painful. This dealership is worth trying!
Tried reaching out to see if they could help me inquire about an in stock vehicle. Was texted promptly by a friendly employee who collected my information and said they'd pass it on to the sales department. Never heard back, and followed up again at the end of the day. Was told that it was passed along and someone should follow up. Never heard back the next day either. I guess they are not interested in making a deal! I won't stand for having to chase a dealership for their business, there are plenty of other dealerships that want to earn that business instead.
Salesman Ros came in on a day off to help me finish my purchase . Management caught a discount to apply . Highly recommend.

They may be fine to buy a vehicle from. As soon as you have any sort of warranty work, they will weasel and wiggle their way out of absolutely everything. Will NOT deal with them ever.
We were on our way home on QE2 & just before the Lacombe exit I heard a noise & wasn’t sure what it was. There was a big truck in front & I wasn’t sure if it was something with it. I checked my gauges & my voltmeter seemed a bit low. I hoped I hadn’t thrown a fan belt so I decided to take the exit into Lacombe. I knew I wouldn’t be able to run too long on just my battery. I pulled over in town, opened the hood & saw that the belt was still on & tight but I didn’t necessarily trust the alternator or the battery. We discovered Weidner Motors which was open until 5 pm & luckily we were there just before 4. They were exceptionally accommodating, friendly & professional. Lindsay & Erich had us checked in & out & back on the road in less than an hour & with a new battery.

I went in worried about getting taken advantage as a younger female, which happened the last time I went to a mechanic and instead didn't pay a dime and understand not just what was wrong with my car but what caused the problem so that I could correct the cause of the problem. I wasn't oversold, and their work was beyond efficient.
Definitely earned themself a customer for life. I couldn't be happier.

Ken Sold me a Nice 2012 Yukon. Ended up having a few issues that no one noticed, me included.
They made sure they helped me out as much as reasonable possible to make sure I was happy with my purchase! Even though it was a few months down the road that these issues popped up, and they weren't required to do anything for me.
Just had my truck in for a bunch of recalls. I also run an automotive shop in Lacombe, and it was nice to be on the other end of great and reliable service. They didn't try to push any other services, or products on to me, just did what I asked. Thanks again guys, and I now know where to come when it's time for a new truck.

I have been taking my Grand Prix here for the past couple years (my parents many years before me as well) and I will not stop bringing it here anytime soon! They know my car and they always do a good job. Last time I brought it in for an oil change they noticed my wipers needed to be replaced and that rodents had gotten into some filters. They called me and asked if they could replace the filters, I missed their call as I was at work, and called again about a half an hour later and said they replaced it for me any ways since it wasn't the best to breathe that in. This just goes to show that they care not only about my vehicle but also about my wellbeing. On top of all that they didn't charge me any extra labour costs for the filter and wiper replacements AND were done everything in less than an hour. They gave me a great deal and made my day a bit brighter. Talk about excellent service!! Thank you for keeping my family happy and for keeping my nearly 14 year old car in mint condition!
Ken and Donna were a pleasure to deal with this past week as I purchased my first vehicle from a dealership. I had been dealing with several dealerships in Edmonton and Calgary, and the experience with these folks was night and day.
As a younger guy purchasing my first vehicle from a dealership they made it easy. They answered every question I had and made sure that I understood everything about the deal before signing and driving away. I would absolutely recommend buying from this business they were great throughout the whole process.

Driving today on highway, my truck lost power, permitting to drive only 20km/h, luckily I wasn’t far from Lacombe, I decided to call for this dealership, of course they didn’t have any free window just for someone who wants to come straight without appointment, but because they’re great team and professionals I was able to bring the truck. In an hour I had my truck fixed and back on highway. GM 3500, diesel. They explained me next: due to cold air (at that moment was minus -28 Celsius) plus moisture from snow the,, air sensor flow ,,froze. Thanks again

One of my worst and most unprofessional experiences I've had within a professional corporate environment in 22 plus years. From out of Province, I talked over email/phone/text with 36 year employee Ken and attempted to purchase a used vehicle unseen and was told on multiple occasions my offer would not be accepted by the manager even before asking him. Being told it's "priced right". All while offering to pay my own freight to get the vehicle to my Province of BC. In text a racial slur was used leaving me to feel very uncomfortable. When I contacted the manager Blayne Weidner, namesake of the 60 year family business, attaching the screenshots of the texts to my email he did apologized but made excuses for the insensitivity. When I told him I had lost trust he did nothing to regain it and earn my business. I made 3 solid and educated offers and they never moved 1 cent. I am left flabbergasted with my experience and in disbelief of how they've maintained a business for so long especially with one of North America's big 3 like Chevrolet.
Not only did they lose my trust and business but Chevrolet lost it as well. I bought a Lincoln. I got way more vehicle with less kilometers and more bells and whistles, at a much better price.

This location has been amazing, this past weekend I was travelling from Edmonton to Calgary for a wedding when my rental car had a mechanical failure... Running out of time, I was able to barely roll into this locations parking lot from the highway and the staff were extremely helpful. They got me into one of their own locations rentals and off to the wedding, to which I showed up on time!
Couldn't further recommend these folks, they were kind, helpful and empathetic to my situation. Small town feel of integrity. I worked primarily with Dave Weidner himself, couldn't have more respect for the man.
