We received another general email and a 'postcard' in the mail ...how lovely! but yet never a response after leaving SEVERAL (nice) messages regarding a service from over 6 months ago where we drove home and because they forgot to tighten the hose clamp all of our fluid from our transmission flush sprayed out all over, we had to fix here at home and go get more fluid! 1st experience with the service department was good, however they decided not to test a part that I had asked them to, even when I said that it has been shown to be a possible cause to the issue I was experiencing. They did what they thought was the cause of the issue. I got the car back and 3 days latter the same issue came back, couldn’t afford to be without the car for a couple of weeks, so I drove on it for 3 weeks, then returned. On returning they changed out a couple of other parts while still not testing the part I had originally requested, to the tune of $2000, only to find out after 2.5 weeks in the shop that the part I had asked to be tested previously was the issue. Ended up being in the shop for an extra 3 weeks and costing me between $2000 and $3000 extra, that they wouldn’t discuss, to fix something I asked them to test the first time I brought the car in. Would not recommend the shop as they will not listen to input from customers that have researched the issue and talked with very experienced service techs (not available locally) and will charge for their exploratory services. If they had of tested the part when originally asked, it would have cost me an extra $1500 to fix at that time, maybe an extra day, instead I’m out $5300 and was without the car for almost 6 weeks on the second visit.

We bought our 2019 GMC Terrain from Rob Ward last December and I only have good things to say about our experience. First off dealing with Rob was a pleasure. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly. At no point did we feel pressured to purchase a vehicle. Unlike any experience I’ve had at other dealerships where they harass you until you buy. They didn’t have the vehicle we wanted in stock but Rob was able to get it in within a few days with a big red bow. Since then we have had all of our services done at the dealership and it’s been great. Staff is very friendly I would highly recommend them, especially Rob. Pay an unsolved $ 640 repair and then go to another garage that found and solved the problem in less than an hour and charged $ 130.

It dates from a year ago and after the visit of the second garage, our Duramax has never had any problem.

The worst part of this story, Murray's staff do not want to admit their mistakes and make a refund for the useless work of their mechanics, but we still paid the bill for the second garage (cheaper).
Conclusion, if you want to lose your money, and leave with a defective vehicle is the right place!

I made this comment because I noticed that I was not the only one to have this feeling of being scammed by Murray Abbotford.
And that if other customers have problems with their cars prefer small garages, which are a little more honest and admit their wrong if that's the case.

I lost my car key and i called them in the morning and they told me 102 dollars for fob, key and programming and 60 dollars extra for additional key and i towed my car got here and then they told me 220 dollars for one key with programming and everything and 300 dollars for two keys. When i told them someone gave me qoute of 102 dollars in the morning and they said there must be some miscommunication . Like what!!!!! I just spend 60 dollars on towing and now you telling me this! . He even told me that “i dont have to do it for you”( in a rude manner- Ryan) . Like what kinda service is this. Even if you dont want to do something about the price atleast be damn polite to the customer.

I brought my duramax in recently because i was losing coolant from the degas tank, they did a pressure test and heater core test but found no external leaks. Some pressure was found within the tank when removing the degas cap and immediately assumed head gasket leak at a cost of $8700.00, but no hydrocarbon test was done to prove the existence of exhaust gases within the coolant...After taking the advice from a local auto parts shop to replace my degas cap at a cost of $22.00, my problem has been resolved. I have zero pressure in my cooling system, it runs cooler, and it stopped losing coolant now. Perhaps if Murray's mechanics had done their job and performed all necessary tests then I would've bought a new cap from them and walked out a satisfied happy customer, instead i was devastated and sick to my stomach...I will never go back or recommend their service department again

I had horrible experience here at Murray GM Abbortsford. My advice to people whom looking to buy a vehcle is to stay as far as possible to this place. The owner has a unprofessional and horrible attitude towards us and was very unhelpful when we run into trouble with the car he sold us.
We bought a 2019 Cruze in Janurary 2019. About 2 months later, it had 7000km, approx, when the car suddenly shaking and would not accelerate and just about to quite. We brought it back to the dealership and find out that the piston broke in the engine. They are going to repare the engine and replace the piston. Engine failure is a big failure for a car. I asked if they could replace the engine with a new one because this one is defective and because we have just bought a new car now with a repaired engine. The owner told me it is under warrenty and insisted to repare the engine with a new piston. 2 weeks gone by there were not word from them. I called GM Canada to see if they could give us a new engine, so the dealer could put in the car for us. We bought a new car, and now it is a new car with a repaired engine. The GM Canada didn't get anywhere with the dealership either. It turned out that the owner "believes it is the best suited option." He was also angry at me for calling the GM Canada, but I was just doing my best trying to help myself. He went as far to tell me that even if GM send me a new engine he will have to "mark it up and make money on it", he said it " it cost money and time to install the engine in the car" but later he said GM pays for the job under warranty. When asked why would he say it cost money to him and why would he mark up on the new engine (if there is one coming for me) he said he was just "making a point". I think whatever point he was making the costumers satisfaction was not one of them. As for the best option he recommended, he can not even at least deliver on that: there has not been any update from them on our car, and our car is still sitting in the dealership to date. Right now GM is closing the plants and restructuring and fighting for its survival, I think they should first of all take a good look at the dealerships and sort the ones like this guy out of the system. How many doors being closed by this person, I do not believe he is only like this way to me, I think this is the way he conduct his business. I think this is just the way he is and there is nothing you can do to him because, by the time you realized what is going on you have spent your money and bought a car from him and your car is in his garage parked and broken. He told me that I have to speak to a district manager, whom he can not give me the contact info, he also refer to the person speak to me from GM as "your Syed (that persons name)" I have to point out to him that it was not my Syed, it was just I called and that person answer the phone. Such is the bad attitude, like he can just screw you and what can you do about it...and he is right, there is nothing I can do. But he is wrong in that he thinks there is nothing anybody can do, there is one thing we can do and it is fatal, we can stay away. We can tell every one else to stay away. What a horrible place! You ruined for people whom trying to support the domestic industry.

Do not recommend this service center. 2016 Yukon 6.2l owner - when troubleshooting a very noticeable ping in my engine the answer has been “yea those engines do that” - no fix. Most recently a rear bumper sensor needed replacing. This amounted to a $950 labour bill and a $500 part. Not sure if I’m paying to train staff but this seems ridiculous. I will no longer support this local business and do not recommend to others.
I have a fleet of 15 work vehicles with annual maintenance as a comparison - this is my first negative review.

I have had my vehicle here many times as it was purchased at this dealership. I've always felt slightly ripped off, but today was the worst. I had it there for 1.5 hours today and was shocked by the bill. $540.00!! I reviewed the bill and the charges for parts was $143.00 and labour was $322.00 for 1.5 hours!! I called and talked to someone and they said, that jobs have standard costs and that he guessed they just got it done faster. I'm not impressed. It was an oil change, transmission flush. I won't be going back.

I have never had anything but dismal experiences at this dealership. At the first visit, about 10 years ago, the salesperson was so rude that we had to complain to the general manager. He did try to correct things by offering us the vehicle at a steep discount, but by then we were soured.
Three years ago we stopped in to look at a volt. They had none in stock and we had to look at one that was owned by a salesman. We couldn't look in or drive one. The salesman, a fellow in a cowboy hat was apologetic, but what could he do? They had no stock.
Recently, we wanted to buy a Bolt. Again, none on the lot, although other dealers had stock.
I'm not sure why, but the whole experience didn't seem very engaging. I ended up getting a bunch of emails, but no real engagement.
I have never rated a business a one star before.

BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP ...SLIMY GREASE BALLS !!!!

My husband and I received a letter for GM Motors about the factory recall regarding the pieces being added to our keys back when that was happening just a few months ago.

We made an appointment at this Location in Abbotsford under my husbands name on Saturday June/6/2015 at 2 pm. We dropped the car off as was required and wandered over to the strip mall around the corner for 2 hours while we waited. We picked up the keys and left after we got our call to return to pick up the car. The next day we noticed the windshield wiper motor was making noise and they were moving slower.

They were completely fine when we dropped the car off to the dealership. We know because we checked everything before we dropped it off , as we have heard horror stories about dealerships. Now I understand why as our car was tampered with from the service staff that day. My husband and I are familiar with this kind of work also as we learned a bunch of things from our fathers whom are mechanics themselves.

We had called to file a complaint with them and have since been waiting for a solution or response. My husband was driving to work this morning when the motor completely gave out on a super rainy day almost causing an accident. It is now going to cost us $315 for a used motor that only has a 30 day warranty on it after leaving the shop, as that's all we can afford until pay day. .

Also the mechanic shop we have gone to has informed us that wiper linkage was damaged and you have to take a cover off (which took the mechanic 15 min just to ***) just to access it thus cannot be damaged by a rock or on its own. The mechanic shop we took our car to may I add, said it looks like it has been tampered with. I emailed Rob the general manager to get a further response as we are very upset. Unfortunately the general manager was not in when we called first, so I emailed him and he responded very quickly, which is odd as he is not in the store today.

Obviously he did not even look into the matter before emailing us back. The general manager brushed us off as we must be mistaken as this service did not require them to go under the hood ( no shit it doesn't as they only were supposed to glue plastic pieces on our keys, but this is the last place our car has been recently for any type of work and we only take our car to our dear family friend whom is rated one of the best mechanics in B.C if we cannot fix it ourselves and have not had to have anything fixed sice we first got it over a year ago). This has been greatly inconvenient to us as it is our only way of transportation and we did not have the funds to pay for this. This was our first time ever going to a dealership you can tell this has been a horrible experience and we are greatly disappointed.

We were even thinking before this of getting a new car through them in the future as I myself have great credit. We in the future will no longer be leaving our car in dealerships hands without our supervision to do any more factory recalls if there are any or any other work for that matter. We hoped they would understand and look into the matter and possibly pay for a new wiper motor to be put in our car with no fee and also pay for the motor we are having to have installed in our car today as this was completely unexpected and inconvenient and should have never happened. But no that would never happen as they apparently according to them are not slimy grease balls...

I call bullshit based on this experience. So if your thinking of going to this dealership to get any kind of work done or a factory recall fixed be aware!! They are slimy grease balls and will tamper with your vehicle to bring you back so they can make more money off of you.

And if you try to file a complaint they will forget about you or brush you off as you are wrong without even looking into it first...Complete bull shit.

I enjoyed working with the salesman because he worked hard on the deal to provide the information I needed. I did not end up buying the vehicle I put the deposit on because the truck was modified an a way that prevented me from using it for the purpose I was purchasing it.

I had an issue with failure to return a deposit. I complained and they corrected the situation with tact and speed. Very professional. It was a misunderstanding due to miscommunication.

I hope they find me a vehicle as I really liked the dealership.
