Wonderful girl in finance dept ended up giving me a 300.00 discount but Kevin brushed it off as “take it or leave it”... not good customer service. She’d get 5 star and only reason for my 3 star review for dealership!

DT Volvo charges less than half for lease transfer, and they tried to charge me over 1300.00!

A Positive Experience
Recently I had the opportunity to trade in my car to upgrade into a newer car. I knew that JP Auto Group on Marine Drive has a clean lot with cars in mint condition. I initially met Cary Williams a salesman who listened carefully to what my needs and objectives were. I also had a good interaction with Andrew Butterworth. We hit a snag in the negotiations but General Manager Christain Alvarez insured that the deal got done. Jolene did well to get the financials completed. I now know what this dealership tops the list on customer satisfaction. The car was delivered in pristine condition. As a result I walked away with the car I wanted as a satisfied customer willing to return but to also refer friends and family based on this positive experience.

This review is long overdue... After being fairly loyal to another Volvo dealer, we purchased a new car at JP Volvo North Van about 5 years ago when we felt the other dealer was not being forthright about the status of a particular model. I called JP Volvo North Van and spoke with Gordon, who answered all my questions, followed up with an informative email, and we ended up buying a great car (pic from a 2019 road trip). We have had it serviced there regularly, and the service department have always been super helpful, and went out of their way to address our needs. Highly recommended!

Absolutely LOVE all their staff! Austyn is such a pleasure to work with! You get better service here than at Mercedes or BMW.
Long story short, I was just looking at their car after visiting another dealership. I didn’t know much about Volvo cars before going for a test drive... it’s just impossible not to buy it once you feel the engine and admire the craftsmanship.
Kevin also helped a great deal with making the decision and I didn’t feel any pressure... just fell like they honestly wanted to help. They are all very knowledgeable and do have A LOT of patience :)

Purchased a used car from here that we saw online, after talking with the sales person, Greg was very helpful in getting us all the details, pictures and info so that we could put a deposit on the car to purchase online and then we picked up a few days later. Went in last year for a quote on a couple parts for my S40. Parts desk was quick and helpful. Went over to the showroom after seeing a red s60 outside and asked if I could test drive it. I made it clear that I wasn't buying because I'm a college student and just wanted to try it out and the lovely ladies at the counter said "it's ok, if you don't drive it now how will you know if you like it when you're able to buy it?" and let me take it for a test drive. The guy who went with me was a gem too, friendly and helpful. Treated me way better than the Surrey location.

Purchased a hybrid volvo from this location. We met with Nelson Phillips, who I had been emailing for weeks. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, he spent time explaining Volvo's philosophy which made me very excited to purchase a Volvo. I have tried to contact many different Volvo dealerships all over Canada for the past few months,to try and find a hybrid that would work for me. He is the only one who not only responded right away via email, but he carried a conversation and knew to try and build a relationship and put in the time, which we really appreciated. He seemed to appreciate our questions and provided us with exceptional service. When we were emailing, he even emailed back a week or so later to check in, which was very great. I am very impressed with his customer service and knowledge, and love our new car!

I was quoted about $470 for the replacement glass needed for the driver-side, rear passenger window after my car was broken into last Friday— That’s WITHOUT installation, AND because the glass was on back-order, I was going to have to wait until at least mid May to get this service done... so naturally I shopped around, since I don’t have insurance that covers break-ins.

Anywhere else was quoting me around $400 with glass and installation, but again, the glass was on back-order. Within a few hours, Avenue Auto Glass got back to me and said they found a used piece from another Volvo that would fit, and guess what... $280 ALL-IN (that’s glass and installation). It was installed in perfect working condition the very next day— the glass perfectly matched and everything.

So, to recap: $470++ vs. $280 (out of pocket)

The Volvo I’m driving has had a fair amount of work done on it at both the North Van Volvo dealership, and the Surrey Volvo Dealership, taken in by both the previous owner and myself (the current owner)... but this whole situation has made me think twice about taking my car back for future service at any big-name dealership.

Recently bought an XC90 from Volvo of North Van and the experience was outstanding. Not once did I feel any sales "pressure" - they were just there to helpfully explain the features and accompany me on the test drive, answering questions along the way. When my wife and I decided to go away and think about it, there were no sales tactics, just a friendly "give us a call if you have any questions". When delivery time came, Ted and Glenn both went out of their way to accommodate and get me the car on a Friday night so I could have it for the weekend.

I will definitely recommend this dealer (and Volvo as it is a great car) to friends, and intend to have my car serviced there as well.

Recently had an big alternator issue with my 22 year old volvo while i was on a big roadtrip. After changing two alternators already and little to no help of dozens of other garages i ran into Volvo of North Vancouver. I was astounded with their generous help and assistance! Nothing but compliments for these guys, especially compared to the help i got with all the other garages, which was very disappointing. After more than an hour trying and thinking we solved to problem. I'll remember this for sure, 100% service! and finally a garage with people that where honestly willing to help me out.
