I regret to say my experience with Centre-Ville Volkswagen over the past 4 years has been terribly disappointing. Numerous on-going issues with my Touareg's infotainment system, almost since day 1, were never resolved and created great inconvenience. A number of other technical issues were not corrected. I was told these problems were unique to my vehicle. Not true.
The notion of Customer Service and Reputation management is totally lacking.
VW Canada was of no assistance either.

Leased a car back in summer 2020, the first sales man would not give me any of his time to explain the car or Features. He gave me the website so I could look at all the details at home. Very poor service. I expressed how unsatisfied i was with this particular salesman and received a call from the manager who then told me that this particular salesman had never had any complaints in his history of working. I found this very Condescending. When I arrived for the second time to meet with the manager the salesman who I complained about decided to greet me with a joke and laughed and walked away. Seems like a very unprofessional team. I work in service myself and this is not acceptable I would highly recommend saving yourself now and finding another dealership. The finance department had sent me emails that had spelled my name wrong every time, and many basic spelling mistakes. I’m writing this on google as an honest review so that people who are pressured by the service department to give good reviews can now be spoken for.

Brought my Tiguan in due to some steering issues. I didnt have an appointment, but these guys told me to drop off my car and they would find time (regardless of the fact that they were short staffed). Within a few days they had ordered my part and repaired my car. Throughout the process they were accomodating, and honest. Ignacio specifically was very helpful and most of importantly transparent, a rare quality when it comes to service garages. I will not be taking my car anywhere else!!

Bad after sale service.
We have consistently had issues with appointments and communication with this dealership. The last two visits, we had confirmed appointments, dropped off our car and handed them the keys, then we were argued with at pickup that our car was not there, that they had not seen us in the AM, to finally realize that of course they had our car but no work had been done on it. The time before that, they lost our keys and it took 45 min to find them. Changed a flat tire and they put 40 PSI into it when it should have been 38, as instructed in the manual. When we called, they said that we can put whatever pressure we want in our tires, and when I specifically pointed to the fact that on our bill it said 40PSI had been put in, they told me someone would call me back and nobody ever did. Every time we asked to speak to the manager, they said he wasn't available, and when we finally managed to speak to Mr Chung, he investigated, called back and confirmed all the deficiencies in his personnel, apologized and said he couldn't do more than apologize. He then offered a discount, which he said would be confirmed by email, and then, guess what - no email, no communication on his part. I will be switching dealerships because this level of incompetence this dealership has demonstrated when dealing with cars frankly does not make me comfortable at the wheel, not knowing if the work done on my car was to be trusted, with upper management aware and unwilling to do much about it other than offer words of apology.

I had the most horrible service at this dealership. I had previously been there with my old car on 2 occasions and had impeccable service, thus I returned. I purchased a used VW with the CPO warranty in Jan and had a couple of issues primarily a water leak in my roof. Cymon immediately told me that my issue wasn't covered unless I purchase the CPO warranty, he argued with me until finally looking it up and confirmed I was right. They verified the car, ordered the pieces and I returned to get it fix a week later. On the other issues I had with my car, Cymon told me unless the check engine lights on there's nothing they can do. He lied to me telling me that the car needed to stay an extra day bcz they sent the wrong pieces, I found out it was actually bcz 2 mechanics were out sick so they had no time to fix my car. To make matters worse when they returned my car it was still leaking water. In addition there was grease on my windows, black dirt marks on my beige seats and dirt on my carpets. Please forget the fact that we are in a global pandemic, but can someone please explain to me how its acceptable to give a client back their car filthy when it came in clean. I called Cymon and he rudely dismissed my issue, told me just bring it back. I went back and the tied to fix the issue again and "detailed" the front of my car. Now I still have the water leaking plus they caused a new issue of water gathering in my door. Now they refuse to fix it. They lied and told me the original claim was refused so they had to pay out of pocket (VW Canada confirmed they were paid) and they said they need to charge me to diagnose the issue... an issue they caused... are u kidding me. In what world does a client need to pay for 2 hours of diagnostic plus parts and labor when 1) the dealership caused more issues than they fixed and 2) I HAVE A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WARRANTY which is suppose to be peace of mind as per the vw.ca website.... also I've gotten confirmation that my car's warranty is as good as the original warranty so if this was day 1 with this issue or today its covered 100%. I'm dealing with a new dealership that thankfully is professional and knowledgeable. Cymon is rude and clearly couldn't care less about customer service or care. Educated yourself before dealing with them.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would receive the same above-and-beyond treatment at a dealership in downtown Montreal located with a random google search. Here’s my story:

My husband and I were married in Nova Scotia on Saturday. While driving to Montreal on Sunday for the first stop on our honeymoon, he dropped his wedding ring in the dash vent of our Tiguan. We googled the closest VW dealership to our hotel in Montreal and explained our dilemma. We dropped our car off at Centre-Ville Volkswagen before 8am the next morning and they spent the day fishing for his ring.

Not only did they locate the ring, they treated us with humour, kindness, and respect. They gave us a great deal, and an even better story to tell for years to come. The service staff bought us a matching set of VW travel cups (white for the bride, black for the groom), and you can bet every morning on my way to work I will drink my coffee out of my mug and think about our amazing start to married life here in Montreal - all thanks to Ignacio and the rest of the service crew at Centre-Ville VW.

Got there at 720AM for a recall on my VW. Advisor was fine, but when I got out to the parking lot - another customer was looking at my bumper - he just backed up on it.... Then the shop supervisor Vincent Borsellino started screaming at me saying that they weren't responsible for stuff happening in their own parking lot ! - that I had signed the disclaimer - (ya, those unreadable characters on the work order.). What a way to start the week, not even 8am, and being screamed at by the supervisor at your car dealership ? really ?. Never once he excused himself for being so rude and unprofessional.

Also, this service shop does not communicate with their sales dept. So if you can't get out of the office before 5pm, forget your car until the next day, because they won't give the keys to the sales dept.

Worse overall experience I had with the service dept of a car dealership -
If you can stay away from it, please do. If not, be sure to protect your car, because if it gets hit while in there, its not their fault - and beware of their screaming supervisors....

I was hesitating to purchase a Volkswagen but luckily the staff was very professional, respectful and willing to help and guide me without pressure and now I am more than happy with my Tiguan ! As a woman of color, I do not recommend this dealership. On July 9th or 10th 2018 I came in with a friend and as the sole customers in the store we were never acknowledged. Whether our skin color mixed with us wearing flip flops shouldn’t affect the customer service especially that our separate income could afford any of these cars. Not a hi nor what are you looking for. Now, I’ve seen this happen before but I decided that in the future I would speak up. I will never set foot in this dealership. As a Canadian from Montreal now living in the USA, I’ve come accustomed to normalcy, respect and great customer service and this dealership doesn't give it to people non-white.

Worst service I ever got. I dropped the car at 7:30AM ; I booked the earliest appointment possible (7:30AM) because I absolutely needed the car in the evening. I was told by the agent that the car should be ready before 5PM. I just happened to be around the service centre around 3PM and thought I'd pass by to enquire about the repairs. The rep explained that the car will only be ready the next day because '"a lot of work is required". When asked about a courtesy car, they didn't have any. They wanted me to rent a car from them. No one in the whole service centre had the discretion to offer a courtesy car or a store credit for the rental.. I advised the rep that I booked the earliest appointment possible (7:30AM) because I absolutely needed the car in the evening. The rep admitted that THEY DIDNT EVEN START THE WORK ON THE CAR, although the are aware it needs "a lot of work". All the reps seemed indifferent to customer satisfaction. I told them to cancel the work sheet and left with the car.

All this to say, very bad service, very bad customer service. Unprofessional team.

My husband and I leased a brand new Jetta Highline from here last week. It broke down on the drive home from the dealership. Shocking! But, okay, bad stuff happens.

However, since then, we have gotten a total run-around on what the deal is -- will we get a new car? Is the one we leased being fixed? We have to call and call, and get no straight answers... it's abysmal communication and we don't feel valued at all.

So, unfortunately, the other bad reviews are correct.

It's been a week without a car and no solution in sight. Extremely fed up!

I'll add, in fairness, that they did provide a rental over the weekend so we could go on a trip we'd planned and that was nice. As for being straight with us or providing options, or even making us feel like they care at all? What a disappointment! Avoid!

Serghei's performance in the parts department is simply second to none. He is extremely fast and efficient.
