I really needed a car and wanted to make a deal as soon as possible but all I got was "All we have is pre-owned ones and for new ones you have to wait for 3 to 5 months. You should look them up on toyata.ca then come back later." I was turned right at the entrance. VERY DISAPPOINTING after going thru all that snow to visit this place.

Extremely gratifying buying experience at Simcoe Toyota, thanks to Paul Burley.
Based on our experience at several other dealerships over the past week, we found Paul to be a professional sales person who made the transaction pleasurable by understanding our exact needs, focused on meeting them without wasting any of our time on the 'irrelevants' to us, 'matched personalities' with us to put us at ease and gave us a fair deal even in this sellers' market with inventory shortages.
When we returned to pick up the new Venza, Paul had the vehicle and paperwork ready; he spend over an hour going through the vehicle and guided us with setting-up the many controls. safeties, phone App and wireless connections , all in an unhurried manner.
Paul made sure that we were confident and comfortable with the new vehicle before driving away.
Most importantly, he strove to ensure that what can be a stressful experience, was in fact pleasant for both parties through-out every interaction.

I was not actually buying a car but rather a trailer and he was very responsive, open communication and absolutely no delays. He worked with me as I am out of town to get me a viewing of the trailer. We are an independent local garage and have been in business for over 30 years. We have good relationships with other independents, dealerships and jobbers. I recently had dealings with the parts department with respect to ordering job specific parts and questioned whether the parts could be returned if not needed as had an extensive job, wanted all the parts possible to be available and did not want the vehicle down for too many days - I was told the parts could be returned, if over $10.00 - perfect. Job done and returned the unopened parts, received credit and noticed a 15% restocking charge - this was not mentioned when told they could be returned. Called back and said this is a standard charge but would speak to the manager. I waited several hours for the reply, called back and was told the restocking charge would stay in place. Do you think this information would have been helpful when I asked about the returns and than placed my order once I knew they could be returned. I have never been charged a restocking fee from any other dealership be it Chrysler, GM, Ford, Kia, Hyundai or from UAP or Carquest to give a few examples. Terrible Service!!! I bring my son's car in for a seatbelt recall and they said his name was in the computer but nothing written beside it!! What?? He just bought this car and called for an appointment to see if the seatbelt was previously fixed by the other owner as it is a SAFETY concern. It should be right in the computer his VIN# is used to verify the fixture. Nope he was told not to believe everything he sees on the internet!! Again What?? Why did they make an appointment if there was no issue?? He was originally told back in May by SOMEONE at the dealership that they would look into it so after a couple of months my son called them again and that's when he was told he had an appointent on August 6th. 2012. My husband was furious that they would not look at the Toyota site to see if there was a recall or do anything and denied my son had an appointment!! He come home printed out the info from the "Toyota site" and went back over and SHOWED them the paper work that said there WAS a recall. We are going to another dealership after this treatment and they have lost a potential customer not only because of the way they treated my 25 year son but also their inability to admit they were WRONG!!

Bought a 2017 RAV4 three weeks ago. Start to finish, our experience was perfect. Paul Burley was an amazing advisor and answered all of our questions. The vehicle was advertised with a hitch but there wasn't one when we test drove it. Paul said no problem and had a new one put on for when we picked it up. Little touches too like plate covers were unexpected and appreciated. Highly recommend Simcoe Toyota. Wish we lived closer or we'd bring our vehicle there for service. Highly recommend this dealer.

Overpriced. I ended up paying for an oil change $300 bucks. After 10% discount. I have a brand new camry not even a year old and they told me you need brake service, just sanding them before winter. Finally $260 labour and $40 parts (oil-filter) in less than 45 I minutes. How much is the mechanic hourly rate? Why the labour charge was $260? This whole thing is just a scam, like checking the drivers floor mat, come on !!! Never again. I will find a honest mechanic for next time.

Dropped in to ask about servicing a 2007 Toyota Solara convertible; wherein the "track off, check engine and VSC"lights keep coming on. Although I didn't have an app't, Robert was able to arrange for a service tech to check the car's system. They indicated that the problem was with the evac system. Because I am not experiencing any performance issues and they were not able to specifically confirm the problem (thought it might be the filter - very expensive), suggested that I drive the car until I notice any minor performance issues;e.g. stalling and then bring it back. Only charged me for 1/2 hr labour. Very much appreciated their honesty and that they didn't try to sell me an expensive part. I"ll be back.

Buyer beware. Have taken my 2016 tundra there for 2 services. Previously I took it to Woodstock Toyota. First service at simcoe Toyota, no problem, second service I was told I had a seized left front caliper. Quoted over $1200 for caliper, rotors, and pads. Took it to another mechanic and sure enough... No seized caliper, rotors had minimal wear and no damage, and pads still had lot of life left in them. So he serviced my breaks for less 1/3 of the price the dealer would charged (for a brake service) and I returned all the un needed parts for full refund. Do not get your vehicle serviced here as they will probably try to decieve you. Oh yeah, they also quoted me for 3 new tires as I had previously had to replace one and they thought I might like to "match them up". Absolute crooks and I will never be taking ANY vehicle back there, nor will I ever purchase ANYTHING from this dealer.

*EDIT TO RESPONSE*
This is the typical response that I was expecting to hear, that you "care about people's safety." when the reality is you only care about the money in you're pocket(proof of that statement is that you dont even offer my employee discount on parts, yes I'm a Toyota employee and i support the vehicles just not you're crooked dealership). You're tech absolutely should have showed me what he saw because there was no discoloration in the pistons and they were easily movable, so theres your first lie. Second lie is that the pads were worn evenly, because i personally measured them myself and they were extremely even in wear and tear and still have at least 30k left in them. But thats another dealership rip off... They always tell you that you're pads need to be replaced as soon as theu break the half way point. As for my tires, yes I put a used tire on my truck due to a flat but the tire tread was very similar, and you're service representative quoted me on new tires "in case I wanted to match them up". Ha. Sorry I'm not materialistic enough to want "matching" tires, and since i bought a USED tire with very similar tread wear, that is you're third lie. I really hope others read this and don't get rippes off by your "safety concern" tactics. And since you know who I am you can put me on you're "do not call" list for service reminders because I will never return to you're dealership ever again.

My fiance and i went in yesterday to simcoe toyota. It was an awful experience not only did they ignore the fact that we were even there looking at the tundras, but because we are in our 20s when we finally went in to talk about them the guy chuckled that we were looking at the 2017 tundras he told us the price of an older one didnt offer for us to test drive. Being just been in an accident and totaled our vehicle we can more then afford a tundra but we walked out because that experience was horrible. If you are young and wanting a toyota i would be taking my business anywhere but simcoe toyota.
