Unprofessional service. Would not recommend.

I booked my first service appointment at this dealership two weeks ago. I was hoping that this would be the start of a long and positive relationship, but unfortunately my first experience was negative one.

I was told that there were two recalls that they could take care of in a 2 hour window and I took 3 hours out of my busy work day to make this appointment happen. When I returned to pick up my truck, I was told they didn't have the parts for one of the recalls and that I would need to come back. There was no mention of this even being a possibility until I came to pick it up. A simple heads up when I booked the appointment would have prevented the issue, but it was clear the service rep had not done his homework in this case.

In my mind, this is complete disregard for my time as a customer. Brantford Toyota must have lots of customers if they can pull crap like this, but I will not be one of them going forward. Why they would treat a 1st time customer like this is beyond me. It was a tremendous opportunity for them to win me over as return customer over the years. Instead, they now have a complaint for others to consider.

I suggest you avoid this dealership next time you need your Toyota serviced.

Bought a Corolla a few weeks ago. We added some accessories, including tinted windows. We were promised the car on July 23. They called and said tint wasn't done, can we pick up the car on July 28. When we came in, the tint still wasn't done, and we had to reschedule AGAIN. We scheduled for today, August 14, four weeks after buying the car. A loaner car was promised to us to use while ours is getting tinted and THAT wasn't ready! Pretty disappointed in the level of customer service these guys are providing.

Dissatisfied with post purchase experience

First things first, Toyota make amazing vehicles, I absolutely adore my Tacoma. My family have bought Toyota vehicles for over 20 years and still have our first one

My issue is with the dealership itself. I’m a young professional and look my age (early 20s)

I was not taken seriously at first and felt a burden on the sales rep.

On delivery of the vehicle, it was missing mud flaps and was told they would be in. This was in November 2019. I have since reached out twice regarding the issue and the second time they said they would contact me about the parts.

It’s now June 2020 and it’s been radio silence.

Overall, great vehicles but definitely push to have everything that’s supposed to be included (maybe even taken off another vehicle) or else you may never get it

We had exceptional service with Gus D when we purchased our vehicle on March 14 2020
We have purchased/leased a lot of vehicles in our time, and we both walked away from this purchase, both agreeing, this was by far the best car shopping experience.
From the first point of contact, Gus made us feel comfortable, was very informative, transparent and answered all of our questions with a smile.

As you can see, I have added the proof of this dealerships lack of ability to honour such marketing, that they have placed on their local website! These pictures are of the sales associate’s computer, in her office.
When my husband and I went in to receive this incredible deal, as we had been watching the market, for a number of months, regarding the Rav4, the sales associate struggled to meet the numbers, which I had gotten right off of their local website, the evening prior, which my husband and I drove over an hour, one-way, to receive (they were well aware of our travels in also).. she approached the Finance Manager, who came in and stated that it was a “marketing error, we hire an external marketing company to handle all of our marketing, they must have switched the Corolla and RAV4 pricing, by accident” he stated that he would “honour” a deal and get us “cost” of the vehicle and that he was going to “do us a favour”..? Long story short, we were in a few months prior and the number then was $15 less bi-weekly, then the “favour” he had performed. He gave us some sob story, about how they “won’t make any money if we honour this error”.. So us as the loyal customer and consumer (at this time- Toyota owner) were supposed to just sit back and not hold a large franchise company accountable, for advertising a certain price and then not honouring that price?! These places need to be held more accountable! This was disgusting and disheartening, as a then loyal Toyota customer and consumer! This happened on a weekend, so the GM was not in. The most horrendous part was that the financial manager and the sales associate swore up and down that they would be connecting with the GM on Monday and that I would be receiving a call from him, to rectify this.. We never received any form of communication, from this dealership and every time I called, to connect with the GM, I was hung up on, once transferred, three times!! That’s no coincidence.. As a dealership, you should all be ashamed!! How many people has this happened to?! Awful customer service, lack of ability to honour their marketed deals and rebates, lack of ability to rectify a horrible customer experience-based on THEIR error, lack of trust and honesty!! I’m happy to say that I traded in my Toyota, for an entirely different make of vehicle because I will not pay thousands, into a company, that I CANNOT trust! This dealership left a horrid taste in my mouth, regarding the Toyota brand, as a whole. If you absolutely want to do business with Toyota, I would steer very clear of this dealership! Ps. I have filed two full complaints with Toyota Canada and will be placing a formal complaint, with the BBB! Shame on you!!

It is YOUR responsibility, to honour what is published/marketed, linked to your dealership and the Toyota brand, period! I did not “agree” to those numbers, what I intended to agree to was what was advertised and displayed on your local Toyota website, which you will see is displayed on your sales associate’s computer, please refer to the attached pictures, for your reference. You’re incorrect and misleading response is a direct reflection of your dealership/customer service and the proof that your dealership lacks not only very basic business skills, but also respect/honesty/genuinity, for your customers, the surrounding community and the Toyota brand. I went to get my brakes fixed for my Father's car. They had it all day and did not call to notify they didnt have the part and hadn't started the job. They quoted me almost $2200. When I was shocked and looked into a secondary quote they suddenly had a cheaper option not mentioned previously. They also charged me $70 just to tell me my brakes needed to be done. Which was the reason for bringing the car in the first place. I would recommend going else where to avoid getting soaked. I will definitely advise my Father to go elsewhere in the future.
