Had my Kia Seltos in for an oil change and everything was done seamlessly. From contacting them to booking the service, to releasing my car after, didn’t have to think nor worry about anything. It was quick and definitely exceptional service! 💯
We rented a car from this place ~ June 2023. A rock hit a part and damaged it, which we told them about. Instead of going through the insurance company, they made us pay ~$2000 out of pocket. The only receipt they gave us had “damage” written. When we asked them for a detailed receipt showing what parts were replaced & labour costs, they stopped answering any emails and phone calls. I DO NOT recommend this place for any rentals. They will scam you by adding charges + taking advantage of you + avoiding insurance and telling you that isn’t an option for paying for damages.

I always get asked how can I drive if I can’t use my legs due to being paralyzed by polio. I can drive with hand controls, which I’ve done since I was 17. I’ve included some photos which shows how they work.

It’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
Used their car rental service for a 2 weeks vacation across Yukon. Ended up booking with them after reading reviews of other rental companies handing out cars in very poor condition (windshield cracks, worn out tyres…) and this one had some positive reviews about their rental service.
Hence my disappointment when I was handed over a car with a mileage at over 150’000km and windshield cracks - not very reassuring when you are about to visit some remote areas knowing roadside assistance can be challenging in Yukon.
The staff was accommodating but all their rental cars had windshield cracks. After some discussions we managed to swap for another car which seemed less likely to give up in the middle of nowhere.
The staff mentioned windshield cracks are common in Yukon, especially for rental cars. However when we were on the road we saw rental cars from other companies - none of them had windshield cracks.
In the end the car made it fine and we did not have any issue.
When handing back the car I was 15mins before the end of my 24h period and they initially wanted to charge additional kms based on a reduced mileage allowance. Nothing was mentioned about this when I booked or picked up the car (had I picked it up later in the day I may have been in trouble with my mileage). After challenging the amount I was able to get my original mileage allowance back and only paid additional kms based on my paid mileage.
Ending with the positive: The reservation process was easy. The daily rate is a fix price and competitive, especially since the rate includes a 2nd driver.
The staff is nice though not always very transparent on what they are doing, lots of side talks between the staff let’s you wonder what is going on.
All in all an acceptable service but customer focus and transparent communication on all the conditions could be improved.
Had an amazing experience with buying my partner and I’s first new vehicle together. Austin (office manager) was amazing and more than happy to go above and beyond for us. Love the transparency and directness.

Austin and the team were super helpful all around. Both on the sales floor when looking at vehicles here, advice and help from the service team. Austin also went above and beyond helping with advice on concerns regarding negotiations with other Subaru dealerships. From purchasing my vehicle to regular maintenance and other services, the customer experience at Whitehorse Subaru has been excellent. All staff have been helpful and very friendly.
Appointments are quick and easy to book and I hear back usually within a day or two. The services provided have always been delivered in a timely manner with exceptional quality. This includes regular maintenance but also services like washes, cleaning, waxing, etc. They also provide free shuttles should you need it.
Lastly, I’d like to give a big shoutout to Connor who’s a phenomenal sales manager and overall great guy. Helpful, knowledgeable, and never pushy. He has gone out of his way to extend a helping hand a number of times already. Other notable staff include Raman, Austin, and Kyle as well as those from the front desk and service but names I don’t know by memory.
I cannot recommend this place enough for all your Subaru needs & desires!
As we were coming into Whitehorse our check engine light came on. The next morning we were able to schedule a check up for the check engine light. We went in early to see if we’d be able to be seen sooner. They took us in right away. They checked the issues and fixed them quickly. The car was thoroughly checked, the mechanic showed my husband the parts where the issue was. They were very friendly, helpful and efficient. If you ever need Subaru service and are in the area, I definitely recommend them.

Spectacularly horrendous customer support. It takes a lot for me to write a review, but Subaru Whitehorse has let me down immensely on three separate occasions. The first was a verbal quote that was not withheld, ended up charging me over double for a job in which I was going to do myself but after issuing me a verbal quote, I let them handle it. While I realize this was partially my fault, they also did reassure me a few times that it would be no greater than the agreed price. Twice now, I've needed a part and Subaru simply did not order it after they said they would call me when it was in. The last time it was a crucial part and they said it would be in in a week. I called back and they still had yet to even order it a month later. The only good thing I have to say is they do recognize urgency when booking your vehicle for work done in house.
In all, I've never had such bad customer support, and I'd give Subaru a wide berth

Worst customer service i have ever had I would say ZERO customer service. The Sales manager didn’t even ask us to sit when we comes in to buy a brand new car. He was like if you want, then buy it and leave!! I am ready to spend 40K into your store and hoping i will be getting a really good customer service with a a pleasant environment.
And the reason why i went to the Showroom I can understand more about the vehicle that i am going to buy, Normally the sales expert will explain all the difference between the trims and Models make it really exciting for the customers. But I didn’t get any of that! Which was a really surprise for me.
I like Shopping locally. But because of this only reason i am going to buy my car from down south. FOR SURE NOT FROM WHITEHORSE SUBARU.

The car rental was excellent and the rental service was even better. Would highly recommend renting here! Very friendly & hospitable, quick pick up from the airport directly to our rental. I requested an analysis to uncover a serious steering problem. The staff was helpful and fit me in on short notice. However the analysis was INCOMPLETE AND FAULTY, and I left with a VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION which should EASILY have been diagnosed - and could have been immediately corrected! Since that time I have had no success in repeated attempts to contact the company by telephone and/or fax.
One of the best family run dealerships I’ve ever been lucky enough to do business with.
They all put effort and care into the work the do and clearly have lots of fun while doing it. You couldn’t ask for much more.

I recently moved from the Yukon to northern Alberta leaving my car behind for repairs due to being sideswiped a few days before my move. In my absence, the car has been repaired, given a complete service check by Whitehorse Subaru and is now ready to move south! Stellar and completely trustworthy service!!

worst people i have ever dealt with. very bad service
We have been customers for 14 years. We had a satisfactory experience with our first KIA vehicle purchased there in 2007, so we bought another new one in 2017. We have had serious problems with this one, that saw us return over and over to the dealer to fix. The work they did was either not needed or poorly done and they never actually solved our problem. In the end, we had to go to an independent mechanic had to redo their work properly. On top of being outrageously expensive, the mechanics there do not know what they are doing and the owner/manager does not stand by his product and his employees'work. We absolutly DO NOT recommend this business.
I don't know what logic they use for pricing their used vehicles. Glad I had my mechanic look it over before I purchased. Don't trust this business.
Very impressed with the customer service at the service center. Was passing through Whitehorse and had a lug nut seize on me. The service center helped me get it off 15 min before closing and then squeezed me in first thing next morning to replace the bolt before I headed out on my trip. Would definitely go to them with any future problems when I’m in Whitehorse.

Bad customer service. Literally just left me high and dry as I use my credit card through Google pay and they wouldn't accept payment with my visa debit card. Thems the rules I guess. I should have looked at the fine print, but it's pretty brutal to leave a customer without a vehicle in a place where there's no other cars to rent, and you're living 30km out of town. Just mean people that run this business.

Brought my car in to have the timing belt replaced and they replaced the AC belt instead. The car no longer runs.

The first time I tried getting my car serviced at Subaru I attended the Saturday “drop-in”. After a long wait I asked if they had done the diagnostics, they hadn’t even looked at it and I was late for work and had to leave. Pretty bad. So I made an appointment to look at two minor issues. After keeping my car for the day they indeed told me that the things I though were not working were not working… yes, I know, that’s why I brought it in. For this enlightening exchange they charged me for confirming that the starter wasn’t working without offering advice about how to fix it or how that would happen. So I just paid to not have my car for a day and get told what I already knew without any semblance of service or expertise…? Tempted to sell my Subaru to avoid ever having contact with this rude and incompetent place again. Beware!
Previously 5 stars, though their new "Sales Manager" Chris seems to have changed the service priorities. Went into dealership, spoke to Chris about valuing my vehicle for trade-in: He committed to a number initially, then reneged, instead (after "Mulling it over" for a week, offered a revised commitment 25% lower than the initial commitment which he described as a "favour to you") and then broke off communication entirely when asked about the change. I've previously purchased vehicles from here, and have had nothing but positive experiences, though the worm has turned. Steer clear, and save yourself a headache.

Drove 2 hours to get the 24 month/40000km service package done and all they did was the oil change. I thought maybe I selected the wrong service package until I got home and verified it. This was a huge inconvenience. No reply to my email either. I do like the ability to schedule service online and the friendly staff.

Very polite staff. They repaired my truck and gave me the opportunity to rent a car for the day. The renting process was very fast and simple. The rate per hour for the repair is a little bit high to be honest but they did a good job. Thank you.
