My father took his car in for service and figured he would pop over to the showroom to checkout the new models while he waited. Over the next couple of hours not one person greeted him or asked if he needed any help. My brother, father and I all drive Subaru's but we will no longer give this dealership our business.
Daniel was a super helpful sales rep when we came in to look for car. We were debating between the ascent and forester and he helped us with providing features for both and giving us the keys to test drive them. We settled on the Forester Sport model and love it for our family of four! Daniel was very personable, knowledgeable about the car and all its features and very passionate about the Subaru brand. Just purchased a Subaru Forester Sport 2020. Merica was our salesperson and she was awesome, no pressure, lots of time to think about the deal and was able to answer all our questions. Upgrading from a 2009 forester and the 2020 does not disappoint.
Tom from sales is really nice guy. Not your usual full of BS car sales person. Straight to the point, but also with a personal touch.
I have also had a great experience with service as well. Always welcoming and accommodating. Would recommend booking your service through the phone as there might be more available spots than the online schedule (or maybe this was only true due to COVID pandemic).
Living on a Gulf Island creates some challenges when searching for a new vehicle. Arranging a deal from afar could be a problem, but my experience was anything but. I appreciated Tiffany's video of my vehicle and especially the organized and punctual transaction meeting. Tiffany and Joyce Shi were beyond excellent, deserving a 6 or 7-star rating, out of 5! They were friendly, very knowledgeable, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. Without hesitation, I can strongly recommend them.
Having never serviced my Subaru at a dealership before, I was nervous about being overcharged for labour and having things altered that did not have to be. With that said, when I went in recently (on two occasions) to get some maintenance and programming work done on my car, their customer service was superb. Specifically, Maxine at the customer service counter was very kind, empathetic, and accommodating. I felt like I was well taken care of and had nothing to fear. The work that was done was respectfully completed, including the washing and vacuuming of my car. My Subaru and I will definitely be returning here in the future!

The experience wasn't perfect - we found some new imperfections on the body before buying. Also, some the fluids that were supposed to be filled during the cars inspection were empty - the coolant and windshield wiper fluid tanks were bone dry. However, for all these things, after calling them they were very understanding and willing to work with me and fix the situations. Owning up and making up for mistakes to me means much more than not making the mistake in the first place - everyone makes mistakes, but trust is built when they're willing to do something about it.

This is Subaru’s largest location in the West Coast and they had the model and trim level I was after.
In my experience, Subarus practically sell themselves. Their reputation precedes them and if you’ve done your homework, you know what they can do. That said, you won’t experience unwanted, awkward sales pressure (unlike with domestic car dealerships).
Customer service aside, I even got a smoking good deal, unheard of for a brand new Subaru WRX! But that’s not all, they even paid the remainder of my lease payments! ($2000)
I booked an appointment the night before, went for a test drive the next morning, paperwork completed and drove away just after noon. All thanks to Merica & her boss Sandro.
The free Keurig Starbucks coffee was the cherry on the top.

I recently purchased a used 2016 Nissan Leaf from Merica. She was great. She replied to calls/texts in a timely manner and was very helpful, even after the sale was complete. I had a small problem with a software device on the car that was missing and she took care of it promptly and even gave me a sweet loaner in the process. My car was less than $20,000 and i was treated ten times better than when I spent $65,000 at a local FORD dealership. My next purchase will start with a call to Merica!

Their location is quite far for me (I'm on the north shore) and Luke offered to drive my car to the dealer for me so I wouldn't have to worry. Amazing service from start to finish!
Great Service, plain and simple! Had a squeaking noise coming from my brakes. Jonathan was able to look at my car and know right away I just need a minor brake service. They also put on my snow tires for me. FYI- $30 for tire swap (already on rims), very happy with that price. Awesome experience!
Several weeks ago I went into Docksteader Subaru and met Mark Roach in the parts department. I told Mark that my grandson bought a new Subaru a few months ago and he was in Saskatchewan and when he got back to Vancouver in late September he would have to get snow tires. Mark looked up my grandson's account and told me the he would prepare two quotes and he invited me to have a coffee and he would come to get me when he had the quotations completed. Mark explained both quotes and I told him that I would contact my grandson. Over the next two days I contacted Mark three times to get answers to questions from my grandson. During my original meeting and the follow-up calls Mark was very friendly and helpful. My grandson did purchase the package that Mark recommended and he was also pleased with the service. It was the first time that I had been at Docksteader Subaru I was very pleased with the service I received from Mark. It gave me a good feeling about the company. Barry

Docksteader Subaru service has been consistently outstanding through my approximately 20 years of looking to them to service my Subaru. They have been consistently informative, honest, patient, generous and understanding of my needs and my pocketbook. I've leased three Subarus from Docksteader over the years and bought out my last lease. When acquiring a new vehicle, their service dept. would weigh heavily in my decision. To a person, from the service agents, technicians, parts and accessories to the cashiers, everyone is helpful and goes beyond standard expectations to help me.

Tried to buy a Forester here with a trade in. The salesperson was nice to give us the car to test ourselves, but buy he tried to rip me off on the trade-in: offered at least 3x less than the Canadian Black book. I told the guy to look it up on the internet and he kept saying he already knows the value (an impeccable car selling on AT for $14K, with book value of $12.5K he offered $4K. Not coming back there ever again; the dealerships in the valley that offered $11.5K seem to have way more respect for customers and not treat them like idiots, as this Docksteader guy did.

We leased our car here and the sales team are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Lease manager was very thorough in the paperwork and made sure that we understood what we were signing up for. Got my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Sports last year with the assistance of Thomas Crozier, a very warm and friendly person, constantly updating me with the status of the Crosstrek, delivery of the Crosstrek only took a week and got it Aug. 10, 2018.
Last Monday (May 6, 2019), I decided to get another Subaru and gave Thomas a call to let him know that I will be coming to check out a Wrx Sport-Tech, when I arrived, I was greeted with a warm smile, a firm handshake and a well prepared Wrx all ready for roadtest and He gave me very detailed presentation of the car.
We closed the deal that day, He helped me to get a pretty decent deal as a Loyal Client.I got the Wrx next day (May 7, 2019).

If I could give Docksteader 100 stars, that wouldn't be enough. I was on my way home to the US from a conference in Whistler when my tire blew out in downtown Vancouver. I am so thankful for Docksteader. They knew I was in a predicament and made the process of getting new tires so easy and seamless. They even were able to juggle other appointments and get me in and out within a few quick hours. Everyone was so nice and helpful and made me feel so welcomed. The quality of work and professionalism was top notch. It's never a good time to get a blow out tire but being close enough to Docksteader Subaru was a blessing. Thank you!
We had a fantastic experience last weekend when we came in the buy our first Subaru. We had been to 2 other Subaru dealerships but when we entered at Docksteader Subaru and met Thomas the level of service was above and beyond any we had had previously. We called ahead and mentioned to car we were coming to look at. We were over withing 15 mins and Thomas had gone and pulled the car around and given it a quick wash! He clearly cared about us having a great experience during our visit. His attitude and patience for all of our questions was fantastic. We ran through many different scenarios and it was important to him that we were happy with our first big purchase as a newly wed couple. We are so happy we came by and are over the moon with our new Subaru Forester!

If you plan to buy a Subaru, go to this dealership and find Daniel Kwetny. He is a great person to meet and do such an important business with. Recently, I and my wife bought an Outback. In the process, Daniel showed us two different Subaru models, and explained many features that the cars have. When we changed our mind a few times, he always gladly accepted and suggested different options. He quickly understood my style and personality, and adjust himself very well. This resulted in a very fast and easy final deal. At one time he even ran from the showroom to service department, and to parking lot to make our wait time shorter (he did not know I was watching...). Maybe he ran around because it was cold and he was not wearing a winter jacket.... I and my wife was really glad that we met Daniel. If this car runs well for years to come, I will go and find Daniel again to buy another Subaru for my daughter.... Good luck to young Daniel, and to my new car!

The sales representative was indifferent to my present, said ”I am busy” as I wanted to ask him a question, & walked away. I guess he only speaks Chinese so he walked away when I asked him in English? Haha! What an "outstanding" sales!
Didn't purchase from this dealer, but Mr. Sandro Mati provided a fair quotation during my quest to purchase a new car.
His offer was the second lowest. The only reason I turned away is due to one request, but other than that communicating with Mr. Sandro Mati was crisp and clear!
I would definately go back for him if ever look for another car.
