We bought a brand new dodge ram here 3 years ago after hearing wonderful things from other family members who have bought from Dartmouth dodge. They were great for the buying process (shoutout to Dan - you were great!!) however a rodent or squirrel got into the BRAND NEW truck through improperly plastic sealed vents behind the back seats (from factory by the way) Dartmouth dodge wouldn’t cover it with warranty (which is crazy because it’s their fault). They also left me 3 months with little to no communication from the service department, no loaner vehicle with a newborn baby at home. I would NOT recommend buying one of these trucks until this issue is fixed. Heads up buyers!!
If you're in the market for a new or used vehicle, I highly recommend reaching out to Vic! He and the management team were incredibly helpful in finding me the perfect diesel truck. Exceptional service 10/10!
Took over a year for the warranty replacement parts to come in to complete repair. Dealership didn’t call me to tell me they had been received , I had to call and follow up multiple times. On the day the repair was completed I attempted calling the service advisors for an update on my vehicle for over 2hrs , phone was never answered and gets redirected to sales department when they don’t pick up. Frustrating experience from start to finish and expect much higher levels of service from a large dealership.
Tried calling several times to get an update on my truck that was in for maintenance. Noone is payed to answer the phone for the service department. I jumped through so many hoops to get an update. I spoke to everyone except the service department. I was told they can't get anyone hired in the position to answer a phone by the service manager. 🙄 I've never seen a business like this so poorly run. Of all the dodge dealerships I've had do my maintenance this is hands down the worst.
A great buying experience from start to finish. No pressure tactics, great communication, personable staff. Rahul is a top notch sales guy, knowledgeable and prompt without the push of making a sale. I highly recommend this place as the sale comes second to making sure you are comfortable with your decision.
Many times we post negative reviews but so few times do we post positive ones. Good service should be recognized .
I had a problem with my right signal light and in August had the light module replaced. In late September I had the same problem recur. I had an appointment in October at which time it was diagnosed that the part replaced in August was defective and a new part was ordered.
I now have had my car replaced at no charge by Dartmouth Chysler Jeep Dodge.
I am happy with the service I received!
I had the pleasure to meet and speak with Chris Kovacs from sells. He was very knowledgeable and was willing to take the time I needed to talk about the car. I ended up buying my Charger there and I have no complaints, service was great all around.
Thanks to Chris and the rest of the Darmouth Dodge team.
I have the privilege to write a positive review about a dealership. While I won’t say I came out on top, per se, it’s been almost four weeks and I don’t feel ripped off, wool-over-eyes.
In researching for my third vehicle purchase, I visited many of the dealerships in the area. While most of my experiences were good (this in itself was a surprise, coming from Ontario two years ago), Dartmouth Dodge stood out.
I made an inquiry online for a Jeep Wrangler, and Allie reached out for it, booking an appointment that worked for my partner and I, at the end of her work day. When we got to the dealership, the Jeep was by the door, ready for testing, and after some introductions and light conversation, we were in the Jeep with Allie’s blessing to give it a good testing. We were out for a while, but when we got back, she and Sid, the manager, were in no visible rush to get us out the door. I won’t buy on a first visit, and they were understanding of that, running numbers, scenarios, etc. There were a few things I was unhappy about, such as the offer for my trade-in, but I appreciated the forthrightness and the patience to let me sit with things instead of trying to occupy all my mental space to bully me into a deal. I was upfront about having more cars to test, and they were respectful and practical about it. When we left, my partner and I agreed that, even if we didn’t buy the Jeep, we wanted to buy from Allie if we could. She was honest and friendly without me ever feeling like she’d said something “because she’s a salesperson”. She couldn’t answer all my questions on the spot, but got those answers to me within a day.
I continued on to other dealerships, and in the meantime, Sid and Allie sent me a full breakdown of their fees and extras, gave updates on the status of the Jeep, and let me know when it sold.
After some more unfortunate experiences with the two VW dealerships in the area, I was perusing Dartmouth Dodge’s website—because, as I said, if I was going back to a dealership, I’d wanted to buy from Allie—and saw the 2019 Ram 1500 Limited I now own. It has everything I wanted in a truck, except the colour. So I messaged Allie directly to get a test drive. We went in, everything ready as before, no indication of annoyance or time wasting from anyone there (even other salespeople knew who we were and who we were there for, no attempts at swiping the sale, etc), everything ready to go. We took it out, and while I wasn’t “wowed”, it was what I was looking for and meant so much in possibilities. It has a quiet confidence, with ready power. So when we took it back, I was ready.
We talked numbers anew, I expressed a desire for the advertised discounts (military), and they worked within those expectations. I didn’t make too much fuss about the sticker price, knowing I would need a warranty and expressed my hope that because I didn’t fuss about the price, that I would get help with the financing warranty and costs. And surprisingly, I feel like I did. By the end of the financing, I had a warranty I felt comfortable with, they shared my distaste with First Canadian and don’t sell their product, and they added extra value to my trade to bring it closer to the valuation I’d made of it, coming in under my maximums across the board.
Sid, Allie, and Dan didn’t go for the kill, as it were. I know they need to make money, they knew I wanted to spend as little as possible, and I feel we came to a good deal. In my last two purchases, by Week 2, I felt taken advantage of. I still don’t feel that way about Dartmouth Dodge. They recognized the importance of establishing a good relationship, and I am happy to sing their praises.
They provided a fresh MVI, had the brakes looked at when I noticed a squeal in them, at no extra cost to me. They made right without complaint or any need for further negotiation or anything.
I am shockingly happy with my experience with buying a vehicle.
Sales guy was good. He helped a lot. But the service department is a nightmare. They told me an oil change package was “included”. Good luck getting an oil change if you work during the day and don’t get off before 4:30. Weekends are out because they’re closed. I’m now over the mileage after trying to get an oil change for the last 2 weeks and was told if I don’t bring it in on time my package was void. So that sucks. But at least their service department auto dials me and bugs the hell out of me multiple times everyday telling me to bring it in for maintenance and when you return their call nobody answers the phone. The heating in my steering wheel crapped out on me after less than a year but it was under warranty. I got a phone call about 3 months later telling me my part was there and had been for some time but that no one called me. I truly hate leaving bad reviews because I think they’re tacky and for the Aunt Karen’s and Uncle Steve’s of the world but if they tell you they’re “including” a maintenance package of any kind, just say no and tell them to take it off the sale. It’s the equivalent to Futureshops old extended warranty farce.
My family and I were traveling through Nova Scotia and ran into a problem with our 2013 Caravan. Chris and the service team were amazing and took us in on a dime. They provided timely information and advice. Despite a stressful trip there was a happy ending. We ended up leaving Dartmouth with a new Jeep Cherokee thanks to a great (and very effective) sales team. Our salesperson, Allie, was very knowledgeable and patient and able to help us find a vehicle that suited our needed in record time. Thanks to them we were able to enjoy a final day of our vacation and make it back to New Brunswick safely. Dealing with this team was a great customer experience.
I bought a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500. Nice vehicle service from 1st contact to signing off on the vehicle went great
Vic MacDonald was great
No pressure and very professional. Explained everything at my level. Looked after all the add on I requested. Thank You Dan Murphy finance guy was great. Flexible met our needs. They even trough in a "parting gift" that you choose
After service sounds great. Excellent experience. Very Happy
My husband and I walked in for an appointment late Wednesday and left with our 2022 Durango RT on Thursday evening. We had such an inviting friendly service from Sid, Vic and Karen. They made our buying process so easy and stress free. Their such a wonderful Dodge crew who made us feel like part of their dodge family. If you are looking to buy/trade I highly recommend these guys. 10/10 for us!!
I was recently in for a transmission update only, and after telling them “My car also has a stage 2 camshaft done to the car with injectors” they still took it in without any hesitation and not specified on the worksheet. I was later called saying my car cannot run anymore because what they did was wipe off the previous camshaft tune that was already on the car. Now the car has to be towed back to a shop, after asking for compensation for the tow truck (only 150+tax)they even denied that and only didnt charge me for the service that initially messed my car up in the first place. How is it my fault after telling them and the manager also acknowledged that I said it was stage 2 cammed with injectors and still proceeded with the job. All i asked was for a free tow to the shop and they couldn’t even help me out to that extent. Dont go with Dartmouth dodge, they have extremely poor customer service and don’t specify what you tell them on the worksheets, even if its their fault. 0 ownership to anything. Go to Steele.
They sold me a car that I had problems with the second day.
They took it back and sold me another one that I'm very satisfied with.
They acted professionally and I would certainly return there for their after sales service.
Thank you for your kindness
Bought a brand new Ram 1500 limited edition in Oct 2023 , the passager mat was mess up since day one, so I waited until last week for this dealer to tell me that it isn’t his fault and nothing he can do about it. Nice service and for sure never again. Our company bought over 12 pick up the last 7 years but we are done with Dodge Ram.
I told Vic exactly what my dream Jeep was and he delivered. I wrote about it on my bucket list and in my goals journal! I dreamed about the Color - Bikini Pearl.
It had to be a one touch button top down - Sky….
I am over the moon grateful for driving what I love and the experience at Dartmouth Dodge has been a 10 out of 10. Chris in Service and and then Vic in Sales and Dan in the Finance area. Thank you all.

Purchased my car in October & just had it in for my first service.
My experience from the very beginning has been great! Chris K in sales was great & his sales style comes across really genuine which is a rare trait in modern sales.
The rest of the team do a great job communicating and setting clear expectations from purchase to service. 10/10 would shop here again.
Excellent service and attention to detail on my last express oil change.
The crew was like a NASCAR team working on my vehicle. I was in and out within 15 minutes and didn't have to leave the seat of my truck. The guys even fixed the front clip on my vehicle which had come loose over the winter.
I've been going to Dartmouth Dodge for over twenty years for service on several vehicles I've purchased there. All in all a good experience.
Keep up the good work! 👍 👍
This was hands down the easiest, best, kindest vehicle buying experiance I’ve ever had!! 10/10 recommend dealing with Dartmouth Dodge. They were timely, thorough, we never felt like we were being pushed into any deals. It felt natural and EASY. You’ve got loyal customers from us for life! Huge shout out to Michael Adderley for being our sales guy.. he was exceptional. What an outstanding guy! Thank you Michael for everything!!
Edit to add to my review :
We reached out to the service manager to find out what had happened when we were informed that it was a call center that took our phone call the first time and that they likely didn’t realize that this location does not have a service department on a Saturday . Glenn arranged to have my vehicle picked up from my work , brought to the dealership to have the first service done and tires rotated as part of the Jeep Wave program when you purchase the new hybrid model . Service was completed and the vehicle was dropped back at my work with my keys and paperwork within two hours . (Fast service). Impressed and thankful that they were able to fit me in and take care of and make things right after being told to just show up to fast lane on a Saturday . (I should have went out to inspect the vehicle though when it got dropped back off to me and I didn’t, because as I was leaving work I noticed that there was OIL ALL OVER THE EXTERIOR ! The hood , the front bumper , the windshield , the entire passenger side door , mirror and even splattered on the inside of the passenger door. As a result we had to take it to the car wash and scrub it all to get it clean and get the oil off . $30 later and half hour later to detail the outside . Emailed these photos to the service manager , was told that he would look into it as he was not sure what it could be and offered to come pick the vehicle up to have a look even though we had already cleaned it all. Never heard back !!!
Called in advance to book a service appointment for a brand new vehicle . Was told that fast lane is open on Saturdays till 1:00pm . I’m sitting in the fast lane drive thru entrance at 11:00am on a Saturday and they aren’t even answering the door or the phone . Not a very great first experience dealing here so far . Are you open in fast lane on Saturdays or not ?
They were superb! Helpful, friendly kind couldn't ask for better. Thanks guys for your hardwork
Wow. Amazing service. I know everyone will form their own opinion on dealerships. We had visited 4 dealership's selling same vehicles. Made it very clear to all of them that we were looking for the best value for our trade in. Walked into Dartmouth dodge without letting them know what our intensions were. They came back first offer better than any dealership we visited. The parting gift that Sid gave on the way out with our new vehicle was 5 star service. Steve and Sid made this purchase the best experience I've had with over 10 cars.
Why is it that you consistently ask how you can move from 4 star to 5 star or thank people profusely for a 5 star review but can't be bothered replying to reviewers who give you a 3, 2 or 1 star?
When deciding where to buy my next Jeep, I want to see how you respond to dissatisfied customers. It's child's play to respond to a happy customer.
5 years of Terrible customer service.
Bought a new Jeep Cherokee from these guys back in 2015. Purchased the paint protection package that cost an arm and leg. They forgot to do it. Went in and left the vehicle with them. Came back after 2 days to get it back. Noticed that the vehicle had swirl scratch marks all over it. They ruined the paint. Said they would fix it and never did. For the past 5 years it looks like it has spider webs all over it. Then I found out the “extended warranty” I purchased for a lot of money was never properly applied. I paid for the best one and didn’t get it. Then there was an issue with the vehicle where I would drive and the vehicle completely locked up like I hit a wall. They towed it in and told me they couldn’t find an issue. They told me to bring it back it it happened again. Pretty dangerous if it happens while in the highway. Luckily when it did happen again it was only at 30km/hr. I brought it back in furious. Their head mechanic came out and immediately told me there was a valve body and lower oil pan recall as well as a cruise control recall. So they sent me out risking my family’s life without diagnosing properly the first time. Scary. So since they replaced those parts someone hit the back of the Jeep in their parking lot while they had it. Instead of repairing the damage they used a touch-up pen. Looks terrible. I had them repair the drivers side door after a minor accident in a parking lot at their collision center, the paint job they did to the whole left side doesn’t match the rest of the car. Now the kicker, the parts they replaced for the recall. They forgot to put a splash shield back on and several bolts back in the lower oil pan. So the rest of the transmission bolts and drive shaft area broke off and almost destroyed my Jeep. Guess who wouldn’t take responsibility. I’m sick of these guys and their “whatever” attitude. Avoid these clowns. Steele Chrysler said that everything they did described above is malpractice and I even got ripped off on my warranty. Go to Steele Chrysler instead of looking to purchase a product or have service done. Thanks for nothing Dartmouth Dodge. Absolutely disgusting.
Tom in the service department is great. Have dealt with him in the past, needed a vehicle so he set me up no questions asked.
Best experience with a dealer. I trade my vehicles in every 3 years. I have been through most dealerships and hands down James and the team here made it easy and painless for me. James was very accommodating getting me the exact vehicle and pricing I wanted. There was zero stress of pressure. The sales manager and fiance department were also great to deal with. They made the process great. No stress. I highly recommend James to anyone who is looking for a Dodge product.
I have tried twice now to get a vehicle through these guys. I have waited for a week now for a simple call back from the rep I spoke to, and nothing. Seems the minute they find out you dont have great credit, they arent interested.... good moto for a company I guess....
I brought in my 2009 Caliber (which I bought used in a private sale a few months ago) after finding out the rear subframe was cracked. This is a known problem, for which Chrysler Canada had issued a special 10 year extended warranty. The 10 years was up for my car, but Dartmouth Dodge inspected it, and sent a report and photos to Chrysler Canada. They fixed the subframe for free, I only had to pay for a few connecting parts. The service manager, Tom, was amazing, courteous, upfront, and delivered on time. I was seriously impressed with the service from start to finish.
Great service .had to bring my car in for a quote . Very nice staff are friendly and great experience. I'm waiting on the approval to have work done .
Dropped Jeep off for check up and grabbed a delicious fresh breakfast made right in the spot. 👍🏼 awesome idea for people going there early and dropping vehicle off on their way to work.

Great service. Kevin was amazing!
Amazing service ask for Heather
Took nearly 3 weeks to get my car fixed. They also replaced a part that was a recall by Dodge and wanted to charge me for a wheel alignment. You put a broken defective part in my car then they do not want to fix what they took apart from a recalled component. Then they gave me back my car that was so misaligned and dangerous. It was pulling to the right so bad it was dangerous. Would never buy a vehicle from them ever again. Do not shop there.
Only started bringing our car here because one of the mechanics is a personal friend and figured out an electrical problem for us that multiple other places couldn't figure out.
This week my husband called three times to try and book an appointment. Left messages and never got a call back, finally got through and booked an appointment for yesterday. Took it in, and were told that there was a recall, so a quick oil change and look at the brakes meant that the car had to stay for the day. No problem. At three thirty received a call that there was a problem with REAR brakes and rotors and they needed to be replaced. My husband called me to update and then called back less than five minutes later to tell them we'd come pick it up because we have those brakes under warranty (they were just recently done somewhere else), and couldn't get through. Called back three more times in the next hour and a half and couldn't get through, so we just went in and picked it up. Never got a call to check in or to let us know that it could be picked up.
Dropped it off to another mechanic. He says the rear brakes are FINE. Nothing wrong with them, just normal wear. One front brake has a minor warp in it, but nothing he says needs to be replaced. So we would have spent over $500 to fix the rear brakes and then still had a small wobble from the FRONT brakes.
AND THEN, they called to say they think they left a key to another vehicle in our car, and left a direct line to call someone back. So if they want to hear from you, they'll make it happen, they just don't want to most of the time.
Summary: ridiculous to try to get a hold of anyone, unless they WANT you to be able to get a hold of them. Be prepared to call several times just to book an appointment. Expect them to tell you that something needs fixing when it doesn't. Never bringing our vehicle back here, we'll take the drive over to Bedford to get service that is quick, reliable, trustworthy, and where someone actually answers the phone.
My salesman was Dan Murphy. He was very knowledgeable, and listened and gave great sound advice. He really goes out of his way to make his client feels satisfied. Dan is quick to respond to any questions. Great experience!
Good pleasant and efficient service staff. Always helpful.
I am not really impressed with this place first I had gotten a car that needed the regular maintenance in less than 10 days so I am out 80 dollars. Secondly I advised that I am paid semi monthly if you Google, it says the LAST business day which it is. I didnt know so on top of the 80 dollar maintenance I am paying a 100 dollar fee with the car company and 40 with the bank. I do not recommend getting a car here and I will not be getting one again from Dartmouth dodge or auto can!
"Don't miss your appointment or they will teach you a lesson!" - Shereef
I had an appointment scheduled to go look at a Dodge Journey 2017, however, due to personal reasons that prevented me to even think clearly enough to email and apologize. and I made it worse by forgetting all about it over the weekend and didn't email an apology.
A few days later I get an email from a sales rep called Dan Murphy in a very bad tone as below:
===== Dan's reply
Hi Shereef,
YOu missed your appointment with me last Friday and I havent heard from you. I was just wondering is this something normal you do as a professional? Make an appointment and just not show up!
Just wondering Shereef?
===== Dan's reply
I made a mistake but do you think I should get a lesson like that ?
I have emailed their management and they are yet to respond.
Nice people but a little slow in the Express lube
“I know it says we close at 6, on Friday, but we don’t actually take any new customers after 5:30”
Then you close at 5:30.
After "response":
Was not here for scheduled service, was here for drive-thru quick lube service. Saying you're open until 6 but not accepting customers for the last half hour, in a first come first serve wait in line style operation, is completely misleading.
You are NOT open until 6. Don't show up anytime after 5:30 because "open" means you're paying your employees to actively turn away paying customers, and clean. Which means while you are STAFFED, you are not open.
I used to bring all my family's cars to you. That day, Mr. Lube won over my business despite being a fraction more expensive. I won't be back, and I'll make sure everyone I know knows of your staff's work ethic. It's only a thousand dollars a year in sales, I'm sure your million dollar corporation won't even miss me. ciao.
Sold my mother a bran new 2018 Jeep no previous owners first off she paid for a fully optioned out car and she got a base model ( it came with STEEL RIMS) no power windows or door locks witch she payed for and everything that she did pay for that they had to put in is aftermarket and doesn’t work properly plus it’s been about 6 months since she bought it it’s been in the shop for the same problem 4 times now car has 16000kms on it. I recommend a Volkswagen
I love the express lane. Just stop by when you need an oil change no appointment to plan around. It's great!
Needed a tire replaced in a hurry during a busy time of the year for the service department and they made sure to make time to help me out in a time of need. Great group there. 10/10 would recommend
Purchased a 2018 keep Compass Limited Edition from them. Very friendly and great customer service! Also got some great deals and updates because we purchased at the end of the month. Our sakes Rep was Lloyd Negus and I'd definitely recommend him!
these guys wont go out of their way for nothing.
went in and made a deal with a quicklube tech that if i got the oil change there (@ $80) they would quickly re-program my ECU.
mid-change, the guy came out and said.. sorry, we cant do that. it's against the rules.
then, i went in another day to have 3 recalls done, again, asked if they could reprogram something on my car... the lady says, we can.. but we're not allowed to.
what good is a dealer if they're not allowed to do the things that only dealers can do? i just want my damn doors to unlock when i put it in park. .
Best in the business. Ask for Shane
I decided at the last minute today to go and get an oil change, the staff at Dartmouth Dodge were very accommodating. I got in fast and Tristan and Johnny were fast, friendly and efficient. I will recommend this service to others and continue to use them in the future.
Just went for a oil change and 13000km check.Allthough I think $70 is alot to pay , the service was the best ever. His name is David Belbin and he was very friendly, had an answer for all my questions and fast. Its nice to see someone under 20 work like that its rare these days . Thank you and see you in another 5000 kms.
I have been going to Dartmouth Dodge since February 2011 and I always had great service at a fair price. The guys that meet me when I drop off the van (John and Tom) are always nice and help me out anyway they can. I have left a number of dealership because of their BAD service department, but I don't think this will be the case with Dartmouth Dodge. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
