Used Car (Sales)

We bought an Audi Q3 in February, 900kms on it. When we first looked at it, I asked if the tires on it were all seasons or summers, the Salesman Ambross scurried off to look into it…..along with some other info we needed. He promptly came back and told us they were All seasons.
We negotiated our price and arranged to pick up the car the week after. When we picked it up, my wife was sitting inside the car with Ambross syncing the phone and at the last minute he said “get some snows on soon”.
She told me this on the way home so it was too late to do anything. The next morning we had a fresh 6” of snow, my wife lost control of the vehicle….went thru a red light a narrowly missed another vehicle, it could have been disastrous.
A. We should have been told up front they were summer tires.
B. I would have taken into consideration the $1500 for snow tires in the negotiation for the vehicle
C. I have tried contacting the Sales Manager many times, almost impossible
Still an ongoing issue, in discussions with the Sales Managers

Having recently visited Pfaff Porsche, I am shocked at how accurate the negative reviews for this dealership are. After waiting for an hour to speak with a sales rep (this could easily be my fault as I didn't make an appointment), I met with Richard where I had the worst customer service experience of my life. I found Richard to be rude, arrogant and unprofessional. Hard to say why this happened, maybe he was having a bad day (or maybe he is not fond of German sports cars and/or social interactions) - either way, the lack of enthusiasm and general attitude were not appreciated by my family and I.

The portfolio of cars in the lot is impressive and chances are you should be able to get the car you're looking for - but personally I would go in expecting to be smitten by the quality of the vehicles and not the "unique" (for the lack of a better word) approach to customer service

Poor customer service. I didn't look rich enough to shop here, and was ignored. So I got my car from the place 1 hour away. This was before the pandemic.

Today, given the pandemic, I'm not crossing town to buy another car. I love these cars but switching brands due to this.

We purchased a pre-owned porsche panamera 4, worst experience ever! We entered the dealership (face masks are required), after 10 minutes of waiting the lady at the front desk handed us the keys and thats it. no explanation on features of the car, nobody took us to the car, she didn’t even bother asking if we needed help, she just moved on with the next customer as if we were buying a regular car from some regular car dealership. Upon receiving our panamera we noticed a few minor damages which we were not shown prior to buying the car. not only that but they did not even bother cleaning the car. We found rotten food inside, yes rotten food! And much much more! We also received the car with a low fuel as well as the infotainment system was not cleared meaning it had all the recent owners name, contacts, locations and all that stuff which i’m sure the owner wouldn’t like. I will never be buying a porsche, nevertheless from this dealership. Please save your money and go buy your car somewhere else!

Exceptional experience! We traded in our 9114S and purchased a new Cayenne. We dealt with the General Manger, Matthew who then passed us on to a Porsche specialist, John Nickleford. Both gentlemen we very friendly and professional. The transaction of both the trade in and the new purchase was simple and efficient. We will definitely be back to Pfaff Porsche when we purchase our next Porsche and would highly recommend John as your next Porsche Sales Specialist

Honestly after being told this is the best place to take a Porsche for service, I do feel fairly disappointed.

I called in several days before dropping off my car, which had broken air conditioning. I was told to bring it in on Friday. I did. When I got there after driving 2+ hours in stop and go traffic on a 34 degree day, sweating, and hot (because the ac wasn't working and my car is mid engine, not a convertible), I was told I didn't have an appointment, and to please wait in my car and someone would call me from service. This was the first time I was told I didn't have an appointment.

A person came in after me, and I overheard their call from service before I was addressed.

After waiting at least a half an hour (with my family waiting for me in another vehicle in the hot parking lot), I asked a tech / customer service when I might get the phone call. He was surprised I hadn't already had a call.

Finally someone called and I was able to drop the car off and leave.

They needed to order a part, from Germany, so a three week wait wasn't a surprise. They called and said it was ready, and helpfully text me an invoice and made it very easy to pay. My service advisor wasn't working on the day I was to pick it up, but assured me that customer service would be able to help me on pickup.

I'm not sure what the delay was, as I had already paid online before picking up the car, and I could see it out front, all hand washed and backed in and ready to go. But it took at least a half an hour to have someone come out and hand me my keys so I could be on my way.

Maybe 2 stars is excessively harsh, because it seems like the repair went fine and they truly knew what they were doing, but I got to wondering if I had a more expensive Porsche to service, not something twelve years old and somewhat pedestrian, would they have left me sitting in my hot car for well over a half an hour, or left me waiting outside in the sun for another half hour on pickup? I'm not sure. I don't think I will ever find out!

One thing I've noticed - the staff are always engaged and definitely care about your experience - an absolute Plus in my books!! WELL DONE!!!

Today we called John Lee to book an appointment at 2pm and John said he already had an appointment but he will ask his colleague Vincent to take care of us at 2pm once we arrived.
However, the receptionist told us Vincent was off shift today when we arrived dealership after 40 min driving. And we need to wait at least half hour or even longer for the next available salesperson
We understand the pandemic effecting dealership’s operation, but we are very disappointed for John’s carelessness and irresponsible.
We went to Porsche centre north Toronto after that and won’t come to this dealership again.

All was great until i bought the car.
After the money was paid i was told they only had one key and i could buy another. I had my own personal winter tires installed on the car at the dealership and took the summer set that came with the car in bags. When i went to put the summers on, a huge gouge was in the tire! So my car was inspected using my own personal tires not the set sold to
Me, which were defective, on purpose? Who knows? But not impressed i have to buy brand new tire to start my summer! When i discussed this with the sales team, they were defensive and rude, but did agree to pay for the tire and installation. I would not buy from Pfaff again

I bought my cayenne here last year, the experience is great. And the windshield glass cracked three month after( rock chip on highway). Take the vehicle there for replacement of the windshield, they gave me a loaner macan, drove the loaner car for two days, went back to pick up my cayenne, but noticed the “lane keeping assist” malfunctioned on my way home. the car keeps pushing it self to the right when there’s a left lane, I guess it’s the calibration problem with the sensor in windshield. Took it back, and drive the loaner for another two days. My understanding is they should have road tested the vehicle after changing the windshield since there are sensors in that. So either they didn’t do a road test or they didn’t do it properly.

Super friendly staff, love bumping into Vincent Ho, always makes me laugh. Service department knew I was away while my truck was in for service. They offered to pick me up from the airport to pick up my truck. That’s customer service!!! They also invited us on the Pfaff Grand Tour, what an amazing experience. Can’t wait till the next one

Nothing but 5 stars for this dealership. I love the new layout. It’s like a museum. With an arcade and private areas for me to do work while I wait for my services.
John Hulley has been my sales guy for over 5 years always trying to do what he can to keep me happy. Not once did i feel pressured from him.
Amanda did a great job helping me with my finances. Quick and simple.
Francesco is my service manger. Always making sure things are going smooth and when he’s not available the rest of the team is always there to help.

Thanks for the great service Pfaff Porsch

Walked in to the dealer and was greeted by a very nice lady, after looking around for some time she offered to call a sales person for us.

I'm happy I asked for a test drive because I got Tom to show me around and immediately searched for the car I wanted to try out, had a blast with Tom on the test drive! He explained everything so well and made me feel so welcomed.

After we came back to the dealership Tom did not rush me to make a decision and let me take home a written quote for the car, all while making awesome jokes and making the experience that much more enjoyable!

I bought a 2019 Porsche Cayenne in the fall 2019 from Lee. The sales experience was amazing, very knowledgeable and a true passion for the brand. Then when arranging to pick up my car I had the pleasure of meeting Gibbon. Once again world class service with all of my questions answered. One month later when watching Porsche 911 videos on YouTube I learned about ceramic coating. I asked Gibbon about it and he explained it in detail. A week later I got it installed Ceramic coating give my car a great shine and allows you to wash it in half the time. With the average price of a Porsche being around $150,000 the brand can be intimidating to some At Pfaff they allow you to browse freely until you need help, giving you snacks and refreshments while respecting your personal space. I never imagined that driving a Porsche could be so great. Thanks Pfaff for making my experience enjoyable. 5 stars.

RUDEST receptionist! Unfriendly staff ! Avoid at all costs !"

The MOST UNFRIENDLY, the RUDEST, the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL Porsche dealership in the Greater Toronto area.

This place employs the RUDEST and MOST UNFRIENDLY receptionist and salespeople who ABSOLUTELY do not care.

Receptionist was EXTREMELY annoyed by the fact that I called yesterday to inquire about a car that this place is selling on Autotrader.

We were at Pfaff several times before and noticed that the salespeople are very busy socializing with each other instead of helping a SERIOUS buyer.

I would not go to the dealer even if that dealer paid me.

I have been a Porsche customer for many years. I have bought many expensive cars. The attitude and service has become so bad lately that I will never buy another car from them. Their valet service is rude and horribly disorganized with an unbelievable amount of attitude. It takes 3 days to have a simple tire change done. After 3 days they returned my with an empty gas tank - 20 km to empty.

My dad ordered a brand new Porsche Panamera 4 E-hybrid 2018 back in 2017 and with countless delays of it sitting at the factory waiting for it to be painted. First it was expected to arrived in march then April and finally it arrived in may 15 2018 and it was the 4th one to arrive in Ontario. On October 22 2018 the engine light turned on and since then we've been having multiple problems. Please keep in mind that it has been 5 months since we've gotten the car and the supervisor Kurt laughed and said the car has 16,000kms on it. What kinda of car breaks down after 16,000km and especially a Porsche that was purchased for 146k. You wouldn't think of having problems with the engine or transmission. It's a daily driving car and not some GT2RS to sit in the garage and collect dust. It has been in at the dealership multiple times to get the engine light fixed but every time we get it back it comes back on a few days later. These guys will come pick up the car and won't call for weeks to give an update on the car and will leave you on hold for 30-40 minutes. Now we had to take the car to the dealership because it was having transmission problems and its been sitting there for over a month and they still haven't done anything with it. Every time we call we just get a new excuse saying "we have to replace this part". If you guys want to buy a car just buy a bmw or audi instead cause you'll save money and it'll last longer cause these guys are running a whole circus.

Before I start this review let give some very important context. I dont own a 911 I own a 944 what many consider not a real Porsche or a poor mans Porsche. I am also very young recently turned 19 when I came to the dealership for the first time I was 18 but i really like 16. I dont look like anyone of impotence. But I am not a window shopper. The first time I walked into the this dealership it was stunning everything was clean, people well dressed, cars clean in every way it was amazing. Unfortunately my only problem I have with this place is the receptionist like 2 or 3 are nice the rest are very intitle people who would not even say greet me and they still dont(at one point I was in like 2 times a week for 3 weeks never greeted). They dont mine greeting anyone older which I find disrespectful considering I actually buy all my parts. Once you get past the receptionist it is amazing in the parts department where I spend every last penny I got. The people treat you with kindness and hospitality that you dont get very often. People like Jeff, Jerome, and Brad treat you with incredible customer service. I had to warranty one part and it was such a easy process that I did not mind it. The parts prices are so reasonable that I dont shop anywhere else because for $3 to $10 more then pelican or in some cases I found it to be up to 30% cheaper(all depends on the part)I get everything in 3 business days And I have a 2 year warranty on parts. No place I have been to does that. Perry in sales has also been an amazing person to talk to and has been one of the most professional, enthusiastic, and humble people I have every met. Even though it is not the closest Porsche dealership to me as my trip there is basically 45 min on a good day it is worth it(I am happy to have pfaff on my plates) and I enjoy going there. The people, simulators, snacks/drinks and Impressive underground used car lot just make this place the best... not the receptionist tho they gotta work on that. I have walked into Holt Renfrew with Corona shorts and a tee shirt and I have been treated with amazing service. one of the reason I like shopping there. (i had only had meh dealership experiences from sherway nissan for my previous car and always found everything to be heavily overpriced and illogical that I could not get a drink unless I had coins on me)

I went to Pfaff to buy my first high end car because I didn’t feel comfortable with the typical used car shops. Let’s face it buying your first “high end” car is a bit of a scary thing, with higher ownership costs for even the simplest of things like oil changes and brakes. I bought from Pfaff because I felt like the car I was going to buy would be problem free (for a while) and I knew them and felt as though they would stand behind what they sold. I had been searching for an Audi RS5 (my previous car was a Nissan 350Z) I had looked at some on the typical used car lots, and wasn’t impressed with what I was seeing. Pfaff had one on the lot, and it was very nice however it was 5 grand more than every other one I looked at, with similar mileage and condition, but once again I thought “this is Pfaff” they will make sure that everything is looked after and correct before I pick up the car..... I had the car for about a week before the check engine light came on, the code had been in the system for a while before I got the car, however it was a simple and cheap enough fix so I just fixed it myself (MAP Sensor). One evening as I was marveling at the machine I had purchased and was going through the MMI, I discovered the service menu, and was shocked to see that an oil change was needed in about 2000km (the car has 10,000km intervals between changes). It was at this point that I started to question buying from Pfaff, I had put about 1000km’s on the car at this point. So I was sold a car that hadn’t been serviced at all. I checked all of the air filters (under hood and cabin) they all needed to be changed as well. But I thought to myself it isn’t worth complaining because I’m certainly not going to drive all the way back to the dealership (even if they would make it right) about a 2 hour drive. Then one day out for a drive the brake pad warning light came on...... I did some Google checking and the pad light comes on at about 25% remaining. Now it is important to note that about 30% pad life remaining will “pass safety” and maybe I did use 5% or the pad life in my short time with the car, but seriously that’s what you get from the dealership that I was supposed to trust??? I even made mention of the brakes needing service when I purchased the car, the response was “don’t worry we will make sure everything is taken care of”.......clearly that was not even close to the case. I sent an e mail to my salesperson (Kyle) and he promised to get back to me right away and let me know what (if anything they will do to rectify these issues) so far 9 days have gone by since my first message (with 3 follow up messages from me) and I have not had a single response.

So in closing to date, I would not recommend Pfaff Porsche for a used car. It seems to me my car was dropped off by the previous owner, it was listed for sale and when I came along they handed me the keys and did absolutely nothing to it at all. I have an appointment booked to get the car re-safetied to see if the rotors and any other items were not repaired properly. At that point my complaint will go to OMVIC. I love the new car, and totally understand the costs of owning something more expensive to maintain..... as of right now I am looking at almost $3500.00 in costs to correct these issues (provided the rotors are ok) and no communication from Pfaff at all. Very very disappointing. If you’re looking at a used Porsche (which I will be in a couple of years) I think you are further ahead to buy it from a private sale rather than the lot at Pfaff.

Bought a 911 carrera 4S from here, let me just start off by saying this dealership is the only spot that treated me with respect since I was a young guy at the time. Anywhere else I went to go check out cars I was met with sales men/woman that thought I was there for joy rides. The second I walked in I was greeted by Chris Redman, he showed me the car and told me about the history, tossed me the keys and said "go try it out and tell me what you think". I fell in love with the car but still had some shopping around to do, as I sifted through the cars I could not find another one for the deal I was offered by these guys. The buying process was easy and they cleaned the car up nicely (and by nicely I mean it was fully paint corrected and detailed meticulously) a couple weeks later I had an issue with the car, it didnt have any warranty because it was a much older car (2002 996) but they took the car in, gave me a rental and dealt with the issue, all for no charge!

I dont have the 911 anymore but I will definitely be back if I am in the market for another Porsche (might be sooner than later). These guys are the best, I've never had an experience like this at any dealer I've visited!

Bought A Porsche 911 turo s from Thomas Tsang, It was time consuming but finally got what I wanted, very nice experience because he let me test drove 911 S and Cayman to feel the difference. Also thanks to Taylor, he is a energetic man-like a spark, I have to commit we almost fall in LOVE. My mom purchased a 2019 Porsche Cayenne at Pfaff early this year, and a month after purchasing the car we started experiencing problems. There was an engine issue and a problem with the trunk. The trunk would not open properly and when you would try to open it, it would make a loud cracking sound. My mom took it in to be serviced but was so disappointed by the service received from the dealership. Instead of apologizing and fixing this issue, they blamed us for the issue. (Please keep in mind, it's only been a month since purchase at this point). They said the problem was a result of snow and ice on the roof, so if you live in Canada where it snows 70 % of the time this is not the car for you! This is in fact a sensor issue, that they are pawning off as our fault. Our family has purchased many luxury vehicles and none of them have given us issues like Porsche has. You would think after purchasing a $111,000 vehicle you wouldn't have an issue with the trunk, but here we are.

I have dealt with Peter at Pfaff, Woodbridge in the past who was very professional and sent timely reminders regarding any service that was due.
This time I had an unpleasant experience, specifically I was advised that I didn't have any extended warranty on my vehicle despite my insistence to the contrary. In fact, the staff at Pfaff couldn't find any evidence of the same and I was advised to provide proof/mail the extended warranty papers taken 3 years ago. Upon furnishing a copy of the bank documents, the advisor was finally able to locate it in the system.

We walk in to this dealership just to "take a look" without any particular intention to buy. Thankfully it was Jay R Tamber who introduced the car to us and because of him we made absolutely right choice - to buy. Since the the very first day our experience owning Porsche was amazing as Jay R took care of all our needs that appeared and ensured that everything was resolved without disrupting our busy schedule. He always helps to find the best solution that suits customer. It has been 2 years since the purchase and we never regretted our choice. Lately we had to do the major service for our vehicle which was performed by Joe Tam. He is a great professional and is willing to go extra mile to ensure that service meets highest standards and that our experience was worry free.
I can highly recommend both Jay R and Joe. If you deal with these professionals your experience owning Porsche will be seamless and very pleasant.

It's been a long time coming but I finally picked up my first Porsche last week at Pfaff. When we finalized the deal over the phone, Jay-R Tamber welcomed me to the Porsche family. I didn't really appreciate what that meant until I picked up the car. Jay-R made what was already going to be an exciting day and made it something else. The presentation of the car, Jay-R's attention to detail, his generosity and thoughtfulness, his commitment to on-going personalized support all made this a very special event for Heather and I.
A class act delivered by a class employee - thanks Jay-R.

My recent appointment at the service department was handled very professionally, and courteously by Rafi and the team. All work was completed on time and the car returned perfectly cleaned.
Words almost fail in recommending this dealership enough, they are a fantastic team !

I recently purchased my 991 from Pfaff Porsche. It's the 3rd Porsche I've bought from Pfaff in the last 10 years. Wonderful dealership. Genuine, friendly sales staff and knowledgeable service department. I live in downtown Toronto but always have my car valeted to Pfaff for service. They always give me a Porsche as a loaner (not some cheap rental car) and they're always able to fix any issues - rather than some places that write 'cannot replicated problem.' It's not the closest dealership to me and it's not the biggest, but in my experience they're the best. Highly recommend.
