Every time I need my car serviced, I drop it off in the morning and tell them I need to have it back by 3 p.m. (even if it's just an oil change). I give them 5-6 hours to complete what's needed. I have never had my car ready in time! The staff at the service desk are great but seems the department can never get things done on time.

I'm not one for posting negative reviews. This is my first one in 28 years of existence and it's because of the service (or lack thereof) here at 401 Dixie Kia. Log of events are below. You can take what you will from this.

- DEC 1 2018: I pick up my car (2019 KIA FORTE) expecting interior coating, rust proofing, winter tires installed etc. After all, Ryan the sales rep told me it was ready. He was great. I drove it off the lot a new Kia customer, feeling good. It wasn't until a couple days later of driving did my dad and I realize absolutely nothing I paid for after market was put on this car. No rust proofing, no interior coating, no exterior protection, NO WINTER TIRES. The reason? None! It just slipped through the cracks. To their credit, the sales manager Chris, attempted to make things right by offering 1 year of oil changes for free (I later found out that what he REALLY got me, was just the first TWO oil changes free, which could theoretically last 1 year if you drive 1,000kms/month.....) That's fine. It's behind me. I'll move on.

- MAY 31st 2019. I brought in my car and told them I was concerned about an acceleration issue. It keeps sputtering/hesitating. They took a look and reset the adaptive learning and told me it should be fine, but if it keeps happening to come back. SPOILER ALERT: It keeps happening...

-JUNE 12th 2019: I'm back for service because again, it's still sputtering/hesitating. They had my car all day (from 7am to 5pm) and when I pick it up, you know what they told me? "The technician drove your car and they drove another car on the lot. They both felt pretty much the same. Might just be the way your transmission feels". Right.... So this is what qualifies as servicing a car now? If they did more work behind the scenes they sure didn't tell me. So reluctantly, I take my car back. I'm supposed to bring it back again if it happens.... again.
SPOILER ALERT: It keeps happening

-JUNE 16th: I'm driving with my family on a highway when the car starts lurching and just gives out/breaks down. Luckily no one is hurt but CLEARLY, whatever the issue was has reached its climax because nothing was done. Did I mention this was Father's Day? Great timing. Oh did I also mention this car is less than 12,000kms old? I'll spare you more details, but my family and I had to struggle to get home from Guelph (we live in Mississauga) while also getting the car to this dealership on the same night via tow truck.

This dealership had my car at 7am JUNE 17th and I've now received it back on JULY 12th. From Day 1, I was told by Megan in reception that a loaner would cost me $35/day until repairs are authorized. And even if the repairs are authorized, she told me I may not get reimbursed for my loaner charges. She didn't know. Are you kidding?! I have to pay to get around when my brand new car just broke down because it wasn't fixed TWICE? So I refused to pay for the loaner and waited for my approval. It took 4 days for them to grant me a loaner free of charge and they only did it because I called them on the 4th day explaining I need a car! Radio silence in between.

During this MONTH of repair:
1. They've forgotten to send a shuttle to pick me up from work, leaving me stranded until I called them. That happened June 17th, 4:30pm.
2. I had to chase them down for answers and updates regarding my car because no one calls you (from June 20th to 28th, no calls. I had to call them June 28th at 12:45pm. And again from June 29th to July 10th, no calls from them. I had to call THEM July 10th at 7:45am)
3. I've asked for a call back on July 10th and I didn't get it. Megan in reception...
4. Hell, I even tried calling the sales manager, Chris, during this fiasco. Left him a voicemail so he can help me out. He ALSO didn't call me back to this day.
5. No one seems to know what's happening. Reception will most likely answer the phone and say they'll have to check. Are there no notes on file???

Folks, this dealership romances you with the sales side and completely dropped the ball in service since I picked it up...

The BEST car purchasing experience ever!

I had inquired about an Optima through submitting a request via their website and Sunil was prompt at replying and also answering most of the questions that I had. Right away I knew that this person was attentive to my needs and requests and that I should definitely go in and have a chat. Sunil was very accommodating to my hectic schedule and also provided some entertainment to my family (consisting of 2 kids and a wife) via Sky Spiers. Sky took the liberty in making sure that my family was taken care of and not bored while I dealt with Sunil in a possible vehicle purchase. Thank you very much Sky! To make a long story short, I walked out of there with a happy family and a brand new Kia Optima. It's nice to see a dealership where all their staff have smiles on their faces. Marcus, thanks for the insight on some of the other vehicles I had questions on and finally Melissa for making a financial transaction so smooth, it was like I've been dealing with you for years. replacement for my wife's 2002 Cavalier

my wife and i decided that it was time to replace the aging Cavalier, we agree to take our time in order to find the right car at the right price, top of our list was Toyota and Honda, follow by Nissan, Subaru. Ford and Mazda and bottom of our list was KIA and Hyundai, we did a lot of research and we knew the vehicle we wanted and which one were within our budget, i got to admit that i'm a little bit of a pain, i'm hard to please and i can't stand sales B.S., unfortunately every time i walked into a dealership i was defensive, and the experience can be less than pleasant, on Monday May the 5th we were already half way in our list, KIA and Hyundai were at the bottom of the list but we happened to drive on a street where both dealers were side by side so we decided to take a look, we where greeted by the front desk girls, they called a sales rep and immediately, like in every other dealer, i got defensive but this time it was different, in less than 5 minutes i was really comfortable, we were greeted by Sunil, he looks very young but every minute of our interaction he was always very professional, i felt he wasn't trying to sell us a car, i felt he was trying to help us find what we were looking for, he offered a test drive, he did a comprehensive walk around, he explained to us every thing relevant to that particular car, it was a very nice experience, both of us fell in love with that car right there only thing left was to make the budget work, we talked a bit more over coffee and we explained what we wanted, we even push a bit harder, he went away for a few minutes and came back with an offer below our expectations, it was really hard to let that go, so today Tuesday May 6th we picked up our brand new KIA Sportage LX Twilight Blue Metallic (they even had the color we wanted).
All the paperwork was prepared by Melissa, she also did an amazing job, she took her time to explain every little detail, she even went above and beyond on a rust protection that i did decline and find a way better price that was within my budget, it was a fantastic experience all across the board, i only hope when is time to use the service department i can find the level of professionalism to match sales and finance.
