Hello all. Bought this used Passport from Chambly Honda the 15th of March. I’m taking the time to write the review. Because it’s really worth the time. The personal and professional service this dealer gives from the departments (Pièces/Parts François, Service Marc-Antoine, the mechanical technicien Daniel to this 20-30 years old tire technicien…and many more in the garage is totally amazing. I’ve personnally never experienced this. I’m new to the Honda family after being a 30-35 years Volkswagen owner. All this to say that they treat you with respect, suggest honest solutions that prove they’re not only there to make a quick buck. They give you honest confidence and for me in 2024 that’s a WOW. That team is totally amazing. Thank you to the Honda Chambly crew (Service/Pieces/Techniciens). Owner, manager of Chambly. Please keep that team in place and continue in that personal service you have there. If I could give a 6 * on this review. It would have been a 6. I bought car in the end of August 2023. The real problem started in early October when the winter drops to negative. I didn’t drive much as working remotely more often. The car started making murmur noises upon driving 3 to 4 hours and also the front door makes the crack sound when I open it. These problem disappear when the weather gets warm. I called Honda chambly for service. They are asking like 129 dollar for greasing and tightening the hinge bolt. I did it myself but still the problem resist. Worst experience of my purchasing the car.

Was rushed off by the salesman right after a test drive because they had another customer wanting a test drive. 2 sentences into asking car information i was told you want the car or not ? When I told him that the steering wheel and brakes are not working well, instead of saying it will be repaired I was told it's a 10 year old car. Amazing service.

So the only reason I am giving a 5 star rating, is because it is not possible to give a higher one. Everything from the welcome the the small details was perfect. I dealt with Michael Lacasse - Racine, who knew everything from A to Z about my new CRV. Infact, I was gonna buy a Rogue until I met him. He was kind, funny, and took pride in his job. He will no doubtl help you and your family find the car you are looking for, and do everything he can to get the best price. We also dealt with Maude Lapointe, who made sure my wife and I knew everything we needed to know about the coverage and lease payments. She clarified all of our questions, and made sure we understood everything we needed to. Google has been asking for my review and here it is.
 
It’s been two years since I haven’t stepped foot at this particular dealership because of the some price increased and one recall that they haven’t honored. But they did do other good things for me in the past so I’ll be fair.
 
The place is currently being revamped, one problem is, there’s not enough comfy seats for everyone. I was there on a Tuesday evening, so anyone could imagine that the place wasn’t crowded for an simple oil change, however seats were missing…
 
About my appointment. I have a car that tells you what it needs (codes and more codes). So about a month ago, I called the dealer and asked for an oil change appointment. Over the phone it was mentioned that there was a recall for the passenger airbag for my car. However, since my oil change was schedule at 6pm, I was told that this could not be done at that time for numerous reasons (time issue and the evening technicians weren’t able to fix this).
 
What a surprise it was when I was told yesterday that it was mandatory that the recall would be made that evening. The problem is an oil change is 20 – 30 mins tops. A passenger airbag would make me stay for an extra hour. Time is money and I’ve lost a few dollars yesterday. We don’t all have the liberty of waiting for hours at the dealership.
 
The reason for this review is simple. The prices at this dealership are way too high if you ask me. I was told at the counter that my oil change would be 61 dollars plus tax. When I looked at my receipt, it was 67 dollars plus tax. I have also took the time to ask for a replacement of my wiper blades… The price that was given to me is $45. I made them removed it. At 45 dollars you can easily found some a complete set of wipers at Canadian Tire. Originals are the best, but $45dollars for blades only, is too much if you ask me.
 
So this morning, I took the time to make some research for pricing infos.
This dealership charges $67 for an oil change. At another one it $54.95 plus taxes. Costco is $49 for a full syntetic oil change (no need to talk about the membership fees, I just go with a friend who has a card, so for me these are nonexistent).
This dealership charges $45 for changing the blades only of my original Honda wipers. Another dealership charged me $33.81 with taxes for the 3 blades (I do have an SUV, the rear one is due). Costo also had wipers on sale at black Friday for $6.89 each. I did try these in the past, they fit, but they don’t last long.
 
My advice to anyone would be, just shop around. Having a Honda for me means, there’s about 5 dealerships around that are less than 30 mins away. I was conscious that the prices may vary, but some dealers are trying to milk their customers.
 
The service was nice, the revamp of the place is extremely pretty, the staff is super friendly, but staying 2 hours paying these high prices is making me rethink where I will do my next maintenance on my car.

Just went there today for my maintenance today and what I like is it always the same mechanic(Craig). He very professional keeps everything very clean on the car as he works on it. Très mauvaise approche, attitude anti client, rendez-vous difficile a avoir. Malhonnête, avars de commentaires. Une fois il me dit 'vos bougies on besoin d'être remplacées'. je les avait remplacer moi même a 165,000 km (Intervalle prescrit dans manuel 160,000) km. L'auto avait env. 210,000 km.
Je lui ai repondu je les ai remplacer a 165000.Il répond: 'a ça on ne peux pas voir ça ' . Alors comment il a fait pour me dire qu'elle sont a remplacer ???? Plus tard j'ai trouver une bougie pas serrée . il ne l'avait pas resserrer.
