This past week I purchased a 2016 Honda CRV. I am very happy with my purchase and feel the sales team who worked with me were exceptional. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, professional and very helpful and I left feeling very confident about my purchase. Thank you to all of you who helped especially Dave and Robert! As far as vehicle's go, what I especially love about this one is the AWD this time of the year! I am a reluctant winter driver usually but now I feel safe on the road even in really nasty weather! l have tons of room for cargo which is really useful for my work and one of main reasons I purchased this vehicle. This may be the first Honda that I have had but so far it is my favorite. I also wanted to point out that this company is very community minded! They have supported many local community groups including contributing to both the Newfoundland and Labrador Laubach Literacy Council and the Family Resource Centre through our Treasure Chest Toonie Draw fundraiser! Took my car after one problem i have, and charged me 1500 bucks and didn't fix the problem.
Then took it back AGAIN, did more work, gave it back and STILL had the electric power steering just give out AGAIN which makes no sense. HOW are you guys mechanics if you can't figure out one problem? Jesus i have never seen such incompetentence from a dealership, or any garage no less.
I used to have faith in honda but i really don't know what you guys are doing, this is ludicrous. I had a reliable vechile for 9 years and i take excellent care of it, so it's more then annoying that when i go to get a big job fixed, the company cannot produce any good results but they love to take your money!

We had an amazing shopping experience at Fairway Honda! We first met with Sales Associate Sid Bose who was extremely knowledgeable across all trim levels of vehicles including gas versus hybrid. Every question we asked he knew the answer. He provided great knowledge and vehicle specific info. He provided multiple CR-V’s for us to test drive. The weather was cold and rainy outside so he brought the vehicle into the warm service bay to properly highlight its features in comfort. We then met with both Sales Managers (Chris Grant and Chris Compagnion) where we were able to discuss the pros and cons of trading our current vehicle versus selling privately. They also discussed several accessory options with us advised us of rebate programs that were available to us and the benefits of leasing and financing. Once we selected our vehicle we met with Finance Manager Erin Summers who was a pleasure to deal with. She had a wealth of knowledge regarding various warranty options (we chose the 7 year 160,000km), service plans, tire and rim warranty, etc. At various points over the 3 days of our shopping experience, General Manager Dave Levita was constantly checking in to ensure our needs were being met and to see if there was any further information we needed. We truly felt appreciated and valued! After we concluded signing our doc with Erin, Sid gave us a more detailed tour of the dealership and introduced us to Maureen at the Parts Department as well as one of the Service Advisors we would be dealing with in the future. He then brought us into the warmed service bay to do a detailed and thorough walk around of all of the features of our new vehicle. He was patient and kind and addressed all of our questions! We have purchased multiple vehicles from various dealers throughout our 25 years of vehicle ownership and this was a top notch high level customer service experience! It was such a team oriented approach where we felt welcomed and valued. All those involved wanted to earn our business but gave us the freedom and respect to make an informed decision without pressure to purchase. Thank you to the wonderful team at Fairway Honda, you’re all amazing!!!
TL;DR: AVOID HONDA entirely for the foreseeable future.
The Story:
2018 CR-V has had problems since initial purchase (new). Multiple trips to the dealer for the same engine light and "christmas tree" dash issues. All they did was reset the lights and not fix the problem. Problem has gotten progressively worse. Now, they claim they never did any of that work because they didn't record the visits. Also, they cannot properly diagnose emissions fault issue which has produced an intermittent power failure where the vehicle will suddenly stop while driving. This very dangerous issue is two black eyes in the face of a company that was once known for quality and service. I should add that one service advisor once said, when my elderly father brought this vehicle in for service, "What do you need a vehicle for so badly? Where do you have to go anyway, you're retired?" ... Apparently this jerk was fired, but who knows how much of this attitude persists at this dealer. Good luck; I recommend looking at the rising stars, Hyundai or Buick. Great customer experiences and highly rated on J.D. Power these past years.
My daughter has been bringing her Civic to this dealership since she moved to Corner Brook. She has had such an amazing experience there and we just had to write about Ingrid, the Senior Service Advisor. At each visit she greets customers with a smile and makes them feel well taken care of. She is the perfect balance of being professional and treating each customer like a member of the family. Overall a great experience at this dealership.
This is the worst dealership to deal with, especially Kim and Mitchell, the finance managers. After providing a deposit, it's disappointing that you'll never receive a response from them. Don't go over here if you have to deal with those finance managers.
Family has been going here since it was called Fort Honda in the 80's. I'm a massive Honda fan, and have been all my life. I will never take my car there again. After an unsupervised apprentice mechanic took 2 joy rides in my car: one through construction zones at near double the speed limit and the 2nd joy ride at speeds of 169 km/h, and damaging my car during the b1 service, needless to say I was quite upset. How do I know? I have it all on dashcam. They absolutely refuse to return calls or emails and while we were in the middle of resolving this the Manager seems to have forgotten how to use a phone. "I promise and I give you my word I'll call you back" said the GM. Don't believe anything that GM tells you. Even the GM didn't have the confidence in his own team to simply mount new tires onto new rims without damaging them and he put the responsibility on me to find someone else to fix the damage they caused. Since Steele Auto bought out this dealership they are awful. There are some good people left up there but you can tell by their high employee turn over rate that they are having issues behind the scenes too. Bad owners and management. Honda needs to step in and fix this mess of a dealership. Shame, they have a few really good people left up there......until they leave too.
Went in to have a rear wheel hub replaced. 6 hours later I checked to see why it wasn't finished yet. The tech assigned to my car was helping another tech with his car and basically forgot about mine (???).
We were starting a month long vacation in Newfoundland when our Ridgeline started acting up. These very kind folks fitted us into the service waiting line even though it was a Friday afternoon. They fixed our truck and saved our vacation while being friendly, patient and incredibly professional. We are from Louisiana and long way from home but these good people took care of us like we were their neighbors. We are incredibly grateful. Thank you!
Charged me $200 to "assess" an issue with my door. Told me I needed to spend $900 to replace a bunch of parts. Second opinion at Morgans and he sprayed it with oil and didn't charge a dime. This is why I don't go to dealership mechanics. I only went to see if if was covered by warranty.

Absolutely the worst dealership I have experienced. Purposefully lied to about a used vehicle I was purchasing.
I needed to buy a vehicle while I was not in the province and saw Fairway had just had a Jeep Wrangler traded in. I contacted them and explained that I needed a vehicle and needed to arrange financing so I had a vehicle when I got back to the province in a month.
They specifically told me that the vehicle would be put through Honda's enhanced 15 point inspection which was better then any mechanics inspection and I could be sure there was no issues with it. I agreed, sent them a deposit, and proceeded with the sale.
The first issue came with financing and their finance manager. 2 weeks after I sent the deposit, they called asking for the full amount. I said I had asked for partial financing and which point they asked when I would be in to sign paperwork to start the financing process. I again explained I was not in the province. Their finance manager refused to help me at that point and said I had to come in to sign paperwork to start the process as it was the law (it is not) and nothing could be done remotely. I asked to unwind the sale and was told I would then be forfeiting my deposit. I had to make arrangement for my own financing, which was done fully remote with a lending company, and I have since purchased two other vehicles with financing remotely with other dealerships.
The "15 point inspection" was passed and the vehicle was ready to be delivered. I was told there were not issues. I did ask for a copy of the 15 point inspection, and was told it would be in the paperwork, but was never provided. It is clear now that no inspection was done as it had sever issues that would have resulted in a failed inspection.
1. The windshield had a 2 inch crack through the wiper path, which is a automatic failure as the windshield would need to be replaced. This cost $750, which they offered (but did not provide) a $250 cheque.
2. The backup lights did not work on one side, and would come on whenever the vehicle is in gear. Again automatic failure due to inoperable safety equipment. This issue cost $2k to fix and was considered a major repair.
3. When driving at highway speeds, the jeep had an 90 decibel high pitched whistle. They were aware of this but did not tell me about the issue. This was caused by the light bar installed on the vehicle. It took $500 to repair this.
After I first received the vehicle and noticed issues, I asked multiple times for a copy of the inspection and that request was NEVER acknowledged. They avoided the issue entirely when I spoke to them.
This is the worst Honda Dealership I have ever dealt with! I have owned Hondas for years all over the country. Fairway will harass you to buy a vehicle, I mean relentless, constant texts and calls from the sales associates, to the point that they have zero tact or class, even after you have told them that your no ready to trade at the moment. They will also lie to you and tell you that it is their policy to not accept a trade if the vehicle has been in as little as a fender bender! They sell their vehicles at a higher price than any other dealership on the island! They will also harass you for service appointments, and then when you finally book, you will set an appointment time and be left waiting for 5/6 hours just for an oil change! Don’t buy a Honda if you live on the West Coast of the island, you will be nothing but frustrated and disappointed when you actually need them for a recall repair! Just disgusting customer service! This place needs new management!
I would like to share my experience of financing my first vehicle in Canada. My wife and I recently moved to Canada and we were unable to finance or lease a vehicle due to having no credit history. I tried many of those vehicle finance agents that state get a car with no credit, bad credit etc but they couldn't do anything for me. Doug and the team at Fairway Honda did absolute magic and managed to get me financed! I have never been so happy! They guided me every step of the way from getting my Newfoundland driver license to insurance to finally getting the car I wanted at a great interest rate. Thank you so much Doug and the Fairway team... I'll be back to get another Honda from you!
Customer service there is horrible, wanted to get a vechile but now I will not spend a cent of my money towards them nor will they get my business in the future. Do better Honda.

The service appointments are never on time and also takes quite a while to get a appointment due to staffing issues .It took a month and half to get a appointment for a/c repair only to get it in and say they have too order parts .now a appointment is another month and a half. This is in my opinion not good service. There answer was no journeyman available for the repair till then.solution hire more staff or treat them fairly either way service is lacking. There is no rush to do anything .I guess whatever happened to customer service?
Absolute joke of a business. Took me a week of the parts counter playing hard to get with me, saying they would call me back and wouldn't call me back for a full week. Then i finally get my parts ordered and paid for the airfreight shipping so i could have my parts the next day and my parts are sent on groundfreight. Wont have my parts for 5 days now when i paid to have them in 1 day. Absolutely ridiculous it shouldn’t be this difficult to have parts ordered in. Not satisfied at all.
We recently purchased a CRV from this dealership. Although I love the car I was not impressed with the Customer Service. The ad for the Car said 259 bi-weekly taxes in (it’s much more than this) it was near impossible to speak with someone in the office and we would have to leave multiple messages to have someone return a call. I can only hope that going forward the service we receive will be better than what we received while purchasing the car! Oh, also the day after I got the car home o received an email stating that the registration on the car was expired. They let me drive the car home with expired registration! How does this happen???
Excellence runs tru there blood !! Best techs and service department every ! Highly recommended they truly do care and make you feel much more then a number . Purchased our 2016 crv here and had such a excellent experience from the sales team we now only go there for anything needed for service, the little xtra $ is well worth the value added to each and every time !!

Had my first appointment on my 2021 CRV today. Needless to say I'm debating on going back for the next oil change . The appointment was 10:30 . She was sitting there til 12:45 . I bought the tire n oil change package. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone as to me your vehicle will be on the back burner. First one i talked to at the service desk said they don't book the appointments and they were double booked. The other person at the service desk said they were short on techicans today. Well someone is lieing on why my car was sitting there for 2 and half hours after my appointment time not being worked on. I can see of I had to have other things done to it but it was only an oil change .

Had to bring my car for service because of a recall. I had no interaction with the sales staff, but the service staff was very snobby and actually ignored me. I stood around while they dealt with other customers and when they were finished with them, they literally all walked off while I stood there, ignored. Very happy for the other people that got such good service from these people in the other reviews here, I still can’t get over how they all just walked off and ignored me. Will be avoiding bringing my car here at all costs. And definitely won’t be purchasing one to only have to come back to this lousy service.

Just So sad a Dealer ship lost so many good employees ,is it Steeles groups way or is it management.We go there and every one is gone,in just a few yrs its wiped out.(I we loved the old Fairway Honda)People are talking about it,Corner brook is small. I here Sales is down(No wonder)They have a descent product but they are not a loyal dealer ship anymore.I just even heard they laid off one of there techs that has almost 20 yrs experience and kept the apprentice on .Whats up with that,its roughly 90.00 to 100.00 labour to have your car fixed by Certified Honda Technicians .I went in there the other day with my parents and looked around for at least 20 minutes at a civic,one person noded and said hello but no one offered assistance .Their last Honda product Our opinion they are gone that big and cant get the sales and squeeze out the long term employes's to save money on new staff.Sorry guys we bought else where.

I started calling this morning looking to book an appointment. I left my info but no one returned my call. Called again and the receptionist took my info, but still nothing. Finally someone was able to forward me to the service department to book an appointment but they were booked up for nearly the next two weeks. I bought my CRV at a location that had an amazing service department and then I moved to the Corner Brook area. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought a Honda. It's no good if the service is terrible.

Excellent service. While visiting from Ontario, my wiper motor broke just as I was getting on the boat from Sydney to Port aux Basques. I called the service department from the ship and they help me to troubleshoot the problem and they preemptively ordered a new wiper motor from Montreal. The part arrived the next day and the service team were able to install it during my 1 day visit to Steady Brook. The customer service was friendly and professional. Of note, while awaiting my vehicle, the service department was on the phone constantly working and providing exceptional service to another customer who had a vehicle broken down in Labrador. Thanks!
