Sales team is great and helpful, service and management on the other hand are a joke, multiple occasions they could not dignose the the problem, so I had to do so myself. Seems like they charge you for a test drive, if everything appears fine on the test drive, they look no further and shoot you the bill. When you contact management about your concerns they reply in an arrogant and rude manor.

Took my F150 in for an oil change and to look at a noise coming from the muffler. Received the truck back with a quote for a turbo replacement for $3300+. Truck is older and I wasn't sure if it was worth putting the money into it so started shopping for new trucks. In the mean time I got a 2nd opinion from a turbo specialist. Specialist came back reporting that there is no issues with the turbos and fixed broken muffler which was the original reason why we brought it in...truck works perfectly after muffler fix.
Brought the matter up with Taylor Ford again as I was unhappy with the diagnosis and the time I wasted unnecessarily shopping for new trucks. Woman behind the counter looked at the quote and the broken muffler piece I brought in and said she would get back after talking to the mechanic. Next day I got a call essentially explaining the mechanic heard the noise coming from the turbo and that it was leaking oil.
I explained that I was unhappy that the quote for the turbo repair was unwarranted considering there was no engine lights indicating a problem, no errors when the specialist examined and no smoke coming from the truck which you'd expect if it was leaking oil. Furthermore, the the muffler wasn't looked at at all and that the mechanic 'listening' to the turbo didn't justify a $125 diagnostic fee.
I was told that she could not approve a refund of that fee but would get back to me. (A week ago)
Taylor Ford has treated us well over the years but I am extremely unhappy with this interaction. I get the impression that someone tried to pull a fast one this go around to the price of $3300+, which almost lead to a new truck purchase...so $60k+.
I wish when I initially brought up the concern at TF there was some ownership taken, an apology made and a proactive offer of my diagnostic fee back vs a poor excuse which didn't make much sense.
For those interested I have pictures of diagnostic tests on the turbo and the broken muffler.

Was interested in a used truck that was on the lot for 60+ days. I tried to negotiate with the sales rep (who was a bit grumpy) to get the price down to $400/mo from his original quote of $401.15/mo. He would not go down so I went to a competitor with a similar truck who gladly threw it in! Didn't have a great experience, wouldn't go back.

Thanks very much, Theresa, for your help with the 2004. I had removed an adjacent fuse to the gigar lighter fuse which happened to control the dash cluster. Once plugged in, all functions associated returned. Only the cigar lighter no longer functions. I'm very happy.

Beware the owner. After close to six years of bringing in my 2 cars for 100% of their service and parts needs I am no longer a customer. I had my first and only bad service earlier this year, and as always fill out the survey. A few weeks later I heard from the operations mgr via text cc’d to the owner. I replied to all. The owner became involved and would not engage via phone. After a few texts he asked his operations mgr to give me the contact info of the nearest alternative dealer. Again no personal contact. The ops mgr phoned me (we knew each other because of my business there) and we had a frank discussion on what had happened. Owner very thin skinned only a couple of texts went back and forth with him starting off accusing me of not being cooperative. Last week the ops mgr phoned me to tell me that he had been told to return my summer tires to me, effectively telling me the owner was kicking me to the curb. Again I might add without picking up a phone himself. Until their recent change of service mgr which only happened with that last visit I knew the name of everyone in the service dept and they knew mine. No problems in 6 years. Write one review (and no it was not nasty) in 6 years and your reward for being a loyal customer? Kicked to the curb. The ops mgr and I had a long civil conversation about this after it happened. It’s only when the owner inserted himself it went bad. And he couldn’t even take the time to pick up the phone to talk to me. I guess six years of servicing 2 cars doesn’t count as being a good customer. Beware the owner. Oh and case anyone reading this may think I’m a bad customer, my last dealer (I’m I a big ford guy) I first went there in 1988 and stayed there till 2014 when I moved to port perry. My wife even taught some of the staffs children.

What a great experience! We were shopping around for a new vehicle for about a week after my old truck died, and we made a point of heading up to Taylor Ford based on all the positive reviews online - what a stroke of luck to find Jamie!

Other dealerships: "The trim is something like this..." Jamie: "Give me 5 minutes, I'll be right back with THAT truck" ~ proceeds to walk on down the highway to the auxiliary lot to get the specific truck we're looking for~

He insisted we drive both motors, based on my concerns with the 2.7L vs 5.0L - he sure was right, this thing is GREAT. After a few more days of thinking it over (full of my peppering Jamie with questions via text, and getting fast, friendly responses!), we struck a deal (over text!).

He is honest, courteous, friendly as hell (happily entertained my 2- and 5-year-old while we worked on the paperwork with Al - who was also absolutely fantastic to deal with!), and his communication is beyond reproach!

Above and beyond service, fast delivery; I am completely satisfied with this experience - I will be buying my next Ford from him. You are lucky to have such a great team working for you at Taylor Ford! Totally worth the drive to Port Perry.

Sales is BRUTAL. They sold my Girlfriend a car that didnt last her a year without falling apart. She herself has dumped around $2,500 just this year fixing it. It would work for a month fine then something else like the engine light would come on AGAIN or the gas gauge didn't work properly. To top it off the salesman told her she could get X amount of money if she brought it back and get her out of her finance (which she can't afford to get out of). She brought it back a week ago and They basically turned her away. They convinced her it was a good vehicle when she really bought a lemon. That is POOR business.

I can't say enough about this dealership. Because this is our 3rd Ford product from Taylor Ford, I am well aware of the great service and sales departments. The attention I got for the servicing of our Taurus wagon and 2005 Escape was excellent. Regarding our new 2015 Escape, Andrew Naylor, in sales, met us as we walked in the door. He seemed to understand our needs in a vehicle very quickly. He was very knowledgeable about the Escape and this continued with all the related paper work and licencing that goes with a sale. Thanks to him, we own another Escape (there are so many products out there) and feel confident in that decision.
