We bought our vehicle at Hollis because they were the clear best in answering questions, and making sure the buying experience was easy on us. They didn't pressure sales with us, and were very transparent with pricing compared to other dealers. The dealers in the city made no effort to go the extra mile that Justin at Hollis did. My buying experience took about a month to go from first email to purchase, and Justin answered all of our questions, and also gave space for us to make decisions. When work and family life took priority over the car buying process, he reached out just enough to let us know that he was there for when we were ready to proceed and keep going. The final purchase was easy, and no pressure to buy any extras we didn't need. Terry the finance manager took us step by step through the process and allowed us to make all the decisions without pressure. It was probably the best car buying experience we have ever had. We are in the city, but it was worth while to travel up to Hollis for this sale. I will definitely be reaching out to Justin at Hollis for our next purchase, or to recommend to other looking to buy a vehicle.

I had my Lincoln Navigator towed there. It stayed there for weeks. It Wasn’t starting. I gave them the vehicle history. After weeks of asking them the status. There was no concrete answer. I even bought a used PCM/ECM for them to test. They never even tried what I told them to begin with. Which was the relay/fuses. The panel on the bottom right side was even open for them to look at. When finally asked them if they checked it. They said no. So I towed it home. I finally spoke to the mechanic who worked on it outside of province and I googled it. I ended up going to Napa auto parts and buying a relay myself. I Changed it, and the truck is now on the road. I spent a nice little chunk of time & money. They definitely could have done a better job. But all good. I did it myself. They did put a new wheel hub assembly in and some overlays. At least they did that. Note to everyone. Educate yourself as much as possible. You would think these mechanics/technicians know what to look for. I am not upset. But disappointed in their lack of troubleshooting.

My partner and I have been dealing with Rick Moir over the past week. Rick is very personable, friendly, and not overbearing. In the end, we ended up ordering a new truck through him and are very happy with our dealings with all of the staff (John - Sales Manager and Terry - Finance Manager).

We would highly recommend working with this dealer for all of your current/future Ford needs. My only disappointment? Having to wait for the new car to be built and delivered!

I went in concerned about a hillside assist light warning and dealt with Jessica. They squeezed me in for an appointment which I was super appreciative for. $420 later to run a test which had nothing to do with my concern. Shame on me, I was going to leave it at that. However Jessica follows up via my personal cell phone through text. I explain I thought I had been taken advantage of (was told labour was $125/hour and only took 2 hours) so I was baffled by the cost and she then proceeds to tell me all the reasons I should be thankful that they helped me? I’m definitely not thankful for being manipulated, harassed or price gouged!

I also witnessed Jessica being disrespectful to her co-worker Mikayla, you could cut that tension with a knife.

Our 2019 F150 broke down on the highway at a gas station by Truro on a Sunday evening, we were 4 hours from home so ended up in a local motel. Had the trucked towed to Hollis. We were back on the road by 12:30 pm Monday, starter went, they diagnosed, had the part in stock and did the installation. Called us at each stage to let us know how things were progressing. FANTASTIC. Would give 6 stars for that level of service!!!

I would absolutely recommend against using the Hollis Ford Dealership for the purchase or maintenance of your next vehicle. They operate in bad faith, give false information (I suspect on purpose), and won't do the right thing to correct their mistakes.

I had an offer written and communicated to me via email by one of their salesmen Rick. This offer was inclusive of all taxes, fees and transfers. We had agreed on the price and I put a deposit down on the vehicle ($500) because it was in transit to the dealership. Over the course of the next two months, I communicated with Rick via email and he called me Friday to let me know the car was in. I came to get it on Tuesday and by this time the car had magically increased in price by $3,000.00. I drove 4 hours roundtrip to pick this vehicle up and at no point was I ever told that the price was changed or that there was even a possibility that it could change (despite there being ample opportunity to communicate as much).

They refused to honour the original price that was clearly communicated by email and offered only to bridge the gap by $1k (after I fought with them to do it). We've got lots of family in Truro and will be telling them to warn folks about doing business with this dealership - that has no problem operating and doing business in bad faith. The money, while plenty enough to care about, was not worth cancelling on the car we waited months for and I believe they used that as leverage to take advantage of me.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION!

My Ford 2020 had some repairs that was not under warranty, which cost me 4500$ to fixed. After the truck was "repaired" I drove 600km and I had to tow my truck to another dealership. They noticed that the repaired was poorly done and caused additional damages to other part and had to redo the whole job + other repairs. They installed the wrong parts and the director of service denied it until I had the other dealership to contact him to provide evidence.

I have contacted 6 times the dealership, left 2 voicemail and 4 notes at the front desk for the GM to call me which never happened.

My truck is still in the shop after 6 weeks because of their mistake and still, I have not received 1$ in credit for their mistake. Imagine paying full price for a repair to get your truck worst and losing your truck for more than 1 month and having no feedback. Obviously, my monthly payment will be paid for a truck that I can’t use and I am losing revenue (since this truck is meant to be on the road to generate profite for our company) because of their mistake, but hey that’s not their problem or their fault right?

I guarantee you that spending an extra 400$ to tow your truck to another dealership is going to save you a lot of money.

I started out writing a good review until I got almost ripped off. I took my vehicle in for an issue I was having with the steering they told me that I need it a lower steering rod or column 13 or 1400 later with the quote. I took it over to a mechanic he sprayed Rush check all over it and it's working fine. Hollis still charged me $73 and shop fees which all they had to do was spray it but of course they didn't vehicle is working fine and quite happy to go to another mechanic now. The girls at the service counter are fantastic very friendly and I do not blame them one bit. Maybe the mechanics need more training.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at the Ford service department. Spectacular staff. Spectacular manager, I did not purchase my car from their dealership but when I walked through those doors with my car being unhooked off a tow truck I felt welcomed. Rachel did, and is doing a fantastic job, I can be a picky customer and I like updates more then the next fellow, but Rachel was expedient on the job. Gary and his mechanical crew did and is doing a terrific job. I'm just a kid getting my life started and I was met with empathy when Gary knew I been dealt a bad hand and he did everything in his power to help me andi could not have asked for a better service. Not sure what service is like yet but I know if Sonny, Ryan or John are working then you get a fair price and extrodinary help with what your goals are in a vehicle. I watch the numbers closely and have been to enough to know when someone pulls the wool over your eyes and not once did that happen. Great staff. I visited Hollis Ford in Truro, NS in October, looking for a vehicle that would be better suited to me. I was presented with the 2016 Ford Fusion SE AWD. The sales professional counseled me on the many convenience features of the vehicle, as well as the many benefits of ownership. My current vehicle at the time was a Ford And I was already aware of the great professional service offered in the maintenance shop, so choosing to own this brand as my next vehicle was an easy one.

At Hollis I received a positive and personal sales experience, as well as being taken care of better on the financing and vehicle warranty/maintenance side of vehicle ownership. That is the Hollis difference, the good value of their service and attention to detail in taking care of their customers, from the moment one walks through the door. Our old Ford van was really showing its age and becoming unreliable so we initially went to hatheway ford in amherst yesterday where we recieved discustingly poor service when searching for options for our new family member the sales guy was great initialy but when it came to finance we felt pressured to make an instantanious decision to either buy now or not at all we knew what we wanted and we were more than welcome to take it from them but were not even allowed the weekend to make a decision and verify our insurance costs for the new vehicle My Friend Rob Maclellan has been a sales consultant at Hollis for 3 years now so i called and asked him to check on a few things for me and was told the truth about what was and what was not possible when buying a car Rob maclellan gave us the facts told us to take as long as we needed and he would be there when we were ready today we walked in the door of Hollis with our van on its last breath we were greeted like true family even before i saw rob maclellan i had a sunny smile shone at me by the lovely lady at the desk we met with rob and went over our new truck capabilities and then to the finance guy and let me tell you i felt at home every step of the way the staff of hollis ford took me and my wife and child into their arms as if we always belonged there rob explained every single detail about our purchase and left me at the end with no questions to hatheway we were just dollar signs in the door to the team at Hollis we were part of the Ford family everyone we dealt with treated us like we just got back home from a long trip highly recomend Hollis Ford Truro and Rob Maclellan as your sales guy but anyone else there will also take the time to treat you right they mean what their slogan says WHY GO ANYWHERE ELSE??

I had taken my Ford Fusion in to have new tires installed and an alignment done. Less than three months my back tires were completely bald with the belt showing. Went back in and the service manager couldn't figure out how it happened. They checked the alignment said it was good and made me pay for road hazard to replace the tires. Within another month the back tires were bald again. They weren't going to do anything again. Went to another tire dealer in Truro and the alignment was out by miles. The other tire store fixed it and a day later Hollis reluctantly refunded my money for the tires. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT BY THE DEPARTMENT MANANGER.

This is the worst dealership I have ever gone too! For starters on one occasion my girlfriend took my car in for a oil change and when she got the car back she drove about 5 Kms then realized the oil light was on then pulled over and check the oil and it was empty! When my girlfriend called up the dealer ship they were very rude with her saying the car had oil then when they realized they did not put oil in the car a mechanic drive to site to put oil in my car then went on to tell my girlfriend the motor would be fine running that distance without oil and they refused to do anything for me so now I have a brand new car with a motor ready to go. On a another occasion at this dealer ship it took them 4 appointments and over 11 hours in total to replace my brake light which on the third trip they ended up smashing my tail light. Then for my inconvidence they offered me a free detailing when I picked up my car from being detailed they damaged the skirt on the car and the paint when I showed them what they did they said that they didn't do it even though I had pictures of the car before I took it there because of all my other bad experiences and to this day they refuse to do anything about my motor or the skirting on my car or the paint that they ruined! So I plead to anyone that reads this please do not take your car to this dealership if you do you will regret it!!!! Everything will seem great until they start damaging your car and will take no responsibility at all and leave you with a expensive piece of junk!

Our purchase took a couple of months due to having to special order the vehicle we needed however the process was smooth throughout thanks to Rick Moir and Ryan Senior. Our new truck performed very well on our first trip with our 5th wheel so good choice made i think.

The real test of a dealership comes after the purchase of a vehicle so here's hoping they can live up to the high standards the set throughout the sales process.

My last service appointment was scheduled about the time of Victoria Day. I chose the e-mail method to do so. I never heard back. I called and left a voice message that Friday and still never heard back. I called Tuesday and I was informed to appear at 3pm. I left a complaint to be forwarded to the Service Manager, but it was ignored to my knowledge. I also had to deal with a new worker behind the desk who was still learning. It seems the job stress working there is quite high as the workload seems overwhelming. I'm becoming increasing less happy with Hollis Ford.
