Sloppy expensive auto shop taking advantage of the North cause it’s the one and only ford dealership around for over 400-700kms. Definitely take your money and time elsewhere to a city if you can.

I picked up my vehicle frozen buried in snow with a dead battery state after spending $5000 on over priced mechanic hours for fluid changes and warranty work.
** why it’s dead I don’t know? Old? , I asked for a point to point inspection on everything. Wouldn’t that include the battery? Customers are not mechanics we bring our earned money and it cuts into schedules to not have a vehicle. If you don’t value customers then I’ll take my service work somewhere serious.
**While driving the highway to wpg my heat is weak and transmission fluid temp won’t go to normal operating temp. And now my check engine light is on. I live in Winnipeg and thought I’d be certainly getting good service if I came back home to where I purchased the vehicle

THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO TURN THE HEADLIGHTS BACK TO WHERE THEY WERE WHEN THE SERVICE ON THE VEHICLE IS COMPLETED. We generally leave the headlights on "AUTO". When we pick up our vehicle(s) the lights have been turned "OFF". The last time resulted in being pulled over by the RCMP. The time before my husband drove to a hockey game in the daylight but in the dark on the way home. Being tired he never thought about the lights... even though he was having an extremely hard time seeing. It was a dark, cloudy and rainy night. So it was just assumed that the conditions made it hard to see. It was so dark, black and wet out that on several occasions he just about had a head on collision and/or went over an embankment. Both would have had very serious results. It is getting to the point where we may have to look elsewhere for our next vehicle and service location. The service desk was made aware of this issue. Even the one that could have resulted in a fatality. But, our vehicles continue to have their lights turned to "OFF" when we pick them up. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I would give zero stars but the least you can give is 1. They have the worst service department i have ever seen. 6 visits for a vibration. I was told told I can buy all my vehicles in sask by the end of it. Lol which is where I did buy and will buy from now on.
We are on a 5-month RV trip, and arranged from western Ontario with Mary to come to Northland Ford in The Pas (our chassis is a Ford E450) for some service work.
We left the coach with her, Tammy, Glenn, and the team.
Upon return, everything was done to perfection! Oil and all filters, full chassis check, fluids topped up, then the coach stored by them for a few days.
AND management even drove us to town after the drop-off!
We felt like being part of their family ... so welcome, appreciated, supported.
Glenn spent 20 minutes going over what had been done by the team when we returned for pick-up, and he was clearly proud of their work.
We cannot recommend Northland Ford in The Pas more highly. 7 stars. 8, if possible. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Brought my truck in for a check engine light had a appointment at 8 am didn’t get my vehicle back until 5:20 pm called 2x first time they said it would be ready around 4 second call no answer. Went and got a ride to the dealership and found out it was a faulty battery that they went and changed without my permission after labour and 160$ for a “diagnostics” it came up to 850$ to change a battery was not impressed. Just for a heads up it is Against federal legislation for a repair shop not to inform you of the cost of repairs before proceeding.
They overcharge and they’re not clear about their pricing even if you keep asking questions.

SALES STAFF THAT MAKE YOU A PRIORITY! Bought my Ford Maverick from Allen at Northland Ford. Allen was very accommodating and listened to my concerns. His ability to communicate in a timely fashion separated him from other Ford dealers in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, I would get a response in 3 to 4 days. With Allen, It would be within 3 to 4 hours, if not immediately. I also appreciated how they were able to perform all the paperwork remotely as this was really convenient for me.
The reason for four stars instead of five is when I was speaking with a different financial admin personnel, I asked her about the products she was trying to sell me. And she didn't know what the warranties covered or how much certain things costed. She said she would email me back with the information I requested but she never did. I feel like if your position is to sell add-on products, you should have a full understanding of what those products are and be able to explain them to customers adequately.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience at Northland Ford and I'm very happy with my purchase. I would recommend Northland Ford to anyone looking to purchase a Ford.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Not a single peep from this dealership or Ford Canada after concerns following purchase. Purchased a 2014 Ford Escape SE in 2017 with warranty and 87,000kms. Since then I have had to rebuild the transmission, vacuum pump blew, fuel pump sensor faulted, battery died, sensor in steering column went, the roof leaked, wiring for headlamp faulty, three out of five seatbelts broke, hydraulics on liftgate fault, all four wheel bearings went, 3 ball joints joints, front struts, three axels, rear dog bones, trailing arms, sway bar links, block heater leak, vacuum pump seal again, transmission still slips after rebuild. I will never again in my life purchase a Ford nor would I recommend them to anyone. I threw $7000 into repairs and broke down three times in the first two years after purchase. Every time the gas light would go on I would get a trauma response because this thing was an absolute lemon and money pit.

The service is always excellent, there was just one thing this visit. If there’s a recall on block heaters, shouldn’t you have them in stock prior to disconnecting the existing one? My truck is at Thompson airport for 8 days with no block heater at nightly temperatures of -30°C... hoping it starts on Thursday morning!

Northland Ford-The Pas Manitoba
We noticed this week that there was a problem with the harness on our vehicle, as well as two blown fuses. Our vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty its a 2014 Ford F-150. We also purchased an extended warranty as the vehicle was slightly used when we purchased it. When brought into this dealership my husband stated what was wrong with it and asked them to look at it because it was still under warranty. The mechanic looked at our truck and confirmed my husbands analysis. (My husband is a millwright/mechanic himself and has extensive knowledge about vehicles.) They then gave us a bill of $170.86 for looking at the vehicle. He did not fix anything or change anything. Gave us an estimate of $400.00 plus labour for the part. They said because they looked at the connector/harness issue, and don't think its a warranty issue we are charging you a service charge. There was no work done to our vehicle, they didn't need to trouble shoot anything, and it only took a few minutes of time. They did not state at any time before the mechanic looked at it that there would be a service charge. They could have told us prier to looking at our vehicle. We would have brought it to the dealership we purchased it from. You after pay your bill before you get your keys back weather you agree or not. They also made my husband sign a paper that looked blank and did not give us a copy. I feel as though they took advantage of us and ripped us off.
Anytime I require attention I am met with welcoming professional service. Staff are always helpful. Pay attention to detail and assist with items not originally intended. I am impressed with Northlands commitment to customer service. It's very refreshing.
I recently purchased a new F150 after shopping around at all three dealerships in The Pas and although the staff were pleasant and courteous I think improvements could be made on sharing the detailed costs of the vehicle. At Ford I was given a single number for the price of the unit and also the monthly payments and that was it. As it turned out the value for the truck was before taxes and the monthly payments did include taxes, rebates, etc. This is somewhat misleading and at the other dealerships I was given a complete breakdown of all the costs which made it much easier to compare vehicles in an open honest manner. Northland should adopt this procedure as I appreciate the openness that other dealerships offered me.
