Absolutely love them! I buy all my cars/vans from Matt. He is amazing at knowing and showing me exactly what I need. For my first car I came in with a monthly payment budget I could afford and around how much I was thinking of spending on a car. I could not be happier with the vehicle he found for me within my budget. When it came time for my husband and 3 kids to get a van, I knew exactly where to go. Again we saw Matt and his team and together we picked the perfect van! I literally drive almost 2 hours to go to this dealership to see Matt because he and his staff are that good.
I ended up buying from another Dealership only because of manager Matt. will never set foot in that place again. he is a bully, disrespectful to customers and overheard some other bad stuff with staff. My husband and I with our 2 kids went to look at a van when we were in service and after talking with him my husband wanted to knock him out...no way to treat a man and his family who are in the military! Then when waiting for our vehicle in service we wanted to ask about a part and the so called manager Tila where she sits behind a wall, first didn't even get out of her seat to talk to us and was very rude and overall seemed like she didn't even want to help us...needless to say...never again. We will drive the extra miles to go somewhere else to get a little respect then to deal with those two idiots again!

We had gone to this dealership a week earlier to look at a used Outlander 2018, had all wheel drive, trailer hitch and overall seemed decent although it has some dents and scratches and higher KM. We brought up my husbands car hoping to trade. They had told us they would be able to give us what we want in our budget and that’s why we made the trip. They offered only $200 for my husbands car and stated reasons why which made no sense because even his tires are worth more than that and the SUV would be way out of our budget. So we left very dissatisfied. We were excited to get a call last week to ask if we still wanted the Outlander and were told they have a New GM who has someone interested in my husbands car and wants to see it for himself and give my husband more and to make sure we were happy, make the sale happen. We were both tired and it’s a long drive so wondered if we could just do the new numbers over the phone but the sales person was adamant that they had to see the car.
So we get up there, an hour and a half from where we live. We wait an hour before anyone even comes to talk to us about numbers or the car. While we waited we also notice the Outlander we were interested was safetied 6 months prior even though we were told when we originally looked at it that it was just safetied so this means that car has also been sitting on the lot for 6 months or more. Nobody even looked at my husbands car the whole time we were there even though we were told it was so important for them to see it again, instead they went to get another car that was older and sounded terrible and wasn’t 4wheel drive. It did have less KMs which is really strange though because it was a 2017 with only 27000 km so it must have just sat for 6 years….
So that car was a no. Then they finally started crunching numbers but said they would quote a newer CRV for us.. Still not doing numbers for the Outlander we came for.. They said because when it’s newer you can extend the term, said they could give 1000$ for my husbands car and then after all that it was still the same amount over budget as the first time we were there. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just lower the sale price of the Outlander we wanted when it’s clearly not selling, has scratches and dings and high KM and has sat on the lot for a long time.. After all that we just walked out.
They lied about having to look at the car and that’s why we had to drive there, they lied about making it work for our budget twice now, they lied about when the car was safetied originally when we test drove it, they lied about someone being interested in my husbands car and we didn’t even meet the new GM who was apparently the one who was going to help us..There’s also different things that I felt uneasy about while there but I don’t want to give details on that. Waste of time and gas.

Brought my longhorn in for oil change. Company now owned by 401 auto group not Jimmy LAPOINTE. I’m not gonna mince words. The service department is terrible. The lady working in. There has no idea about anything while looking at my file I had to tell her my truck was diesel don’t go there.

Best dealership EVER. Joel and Joseph did not treat us like customers, but rather family. We drove 5 hours to come to this dealership to pick up our new 2022 dodge charger hellcat redeye widebody jailbreak and it was worth every minute. Can’t recommend this dealership more. My wife and I purchased a brand new dodge ram from Lapointe Chrysler which burnt down at Cabelas in Kanata. At the time we reached out to Lapointe's to make them aware of the situation which they expressed their apologies. We did not put any blame on the dealership because of the incident, things happen. Moving foward after the holidays Lapointe Chrysler did little to no attempt to help my wife and I with the issue. It's been 1 year since the fire and we still receive phone calls for regular maintenance which I asked them to remove me from the calling list .. no change. Just this week 1 year later a employee is sending me text messages asking us to come in and buy a new vehicle from them. The most recent text was at 11 at night! I can't belive how unprofessional this dealership has been. Everything from Lapointe Chrysler making up individual prices for undercoating which they over charge everyone and send it out to other garages, to sneaky sales tactics trying to hide charges and putting the dealership before the customers for everything. Obviously there's good people that work there and If they have a vehicle you want at a great price you should do it, just be cautious at Lapointe Chrysler.

Overall, doing business with them got me a sizeable amount for my trade in (Jeep Rubicon) , and into a vehicle that was acceptable in terms of capability, value, and equipment/features (Jeep Gladiator Mojave).
This trade wasn't necessary for us, we didn't have any plans to move out of our old vehicle, but when presented with a sizeable offer/trade value, i reached out to 5 or so dealerships to have my Rubicon appraised,(ottawa, renfrew, toronto, burlington, oakville) i was surprised they were willing to go to those lengths, and pay us that much to get us into the new vehicle.
for reference i bought my rubicon as a used 2018 vehicle in 2019 with 21,000 kms on it costing me $47,100 tax in , i traded it in for a value of $47,900 with 54,000 kms paying off my lein of $34,000 which gave me a positive value of $13,900.
this to me was acceptable enough to even consider another vehicle, as we weren't in the market, nor motivated to buy anything, the amount that was offered was worth my time in hearing what they had to say/offer.
While i did feel like everything took far longer to accomplish in terms of sealing the deal, it did pan out accordingly, as i found i had to continue to point out flaws in the deal, flaws in the numbers, or in chasing down their finance rep to finalize my paperwork.
as a consumer, doing this much leg work is somewhat ridiculous.
to summarize, my experience could have in fact been somewhat better, but things worked out to make it all come together.

If you like being argued with and being told wrong information, then this dealership is for you..... they tried telling us we had no warranty then magically found it after I told them we had gold coverage... too bad theybcouldntvtell me what that covered.....will not be stepping foot ever again here... nothing but problem after problem with them....
Thank you to all who took time to warn others. Drove by yesterday, and was going to bring boyfriend back for a look (he's in the market for a jeep). So glad for those who warn others of shoddy service and snakey dealerships. We will take our business to Ottawa. (Cue the business typical response "please call our office so we can ensure to help you..... blah blah blah.)
Absolutely terrible....I wouldnt recommend this dealership to anyone! They wouldn't honour the warranty. I need a front axle seal replaced and they said "it's not a leak it is seeping" and that it's not covered. Now I have to find another way to repair the problem....thanks for nothing
They are lucky that I am even giving them a 1. Absolutely the worst customer service my husband and I have ever received. We have purchased 4 vehicles from them in the past. They dropped the ball on every aspect of our purchase. The sales associate actually quit while our deals was being processed. We got the run around for 5 business days. They were very unprofessional and unorganized. We were charged $50 on our bill for fuel, the car we purchased doesn't cost $50 to fill. After all was said and done my husband went to pick our car to drive it home, the lugnuts were not even tightened!! My husband could have been killed or even hurt someone else. We will never give them our business ever again. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone!
To be honest, disappointing on 2 fronts:
Sales: tried to price match from another dealer and buy local, comms fell off the rails and never heard from them after a few back and forths
Service: brought car in to check alignment and steering, they claimed it was just the road but I insisted and they did an alignment and adjusted the front end caster and camber. Lo and behold, the car was tracking better afterwards. Took 4 hours to get it done though.
Probably never again.
I want to say thank you to Matt and Tiffany. They were outstanding with the whole process.
So far, my new 2017 Dodge Durango is amazing.

I have always had great experiences. I have bought all my cars with Matt and wouldn't go anywhere else. He is always able to find exactly what I need and want. And I know what fuel costs thanks, I'm saying charging for fuel on a brand new vehicle is gouging. The vehicle wasn't even priced very competitively it was just close and convenient. I bought 3 brand new vehicles in the last 4 years, from 2 different brands and dealers and all came with a full tank. No charge and much better pricing! I think the service provided at Lapointe is just poor comparatively. Next time we'll be making the longer trip to a different dealer.

You can keep having friends and family post good reviews but the issue is all the same. Your company is as strong as your weakest link. If you’re sales manager harasses an employee as he has on company property and company time then he is a representation of YOUR company.
How your employees act is a representation of what you allow at your company.

I purchased a vehicle from here and had a great experience. The staff have always been friendly and professional, service department is excellent. Sad to see a great company being crucified over the actions of one sales manager.
Had a terrible experience and will not be going back. I went in to get my tires and cruise control looked at and they told me they would shuttle me home. I waited for an hour and a half, waiting for them to take me and they forgot! They said they were looking at the car the whole time but that turned out not being true. When I asked to see what was going on, I went back and they had done nothing. Such a waste of time and definitely waste of money. Ended up being there for over 2.5 hours with nothing accomplished but losing money.
The waiting area was terrible. There were literally people getting locked into a room right in our area over and over again. I'm not joking. It was ridiculous. And the employees would hang out by that area and gossip about the other employees and their personal relationships.
It seems like they're always like this too. There were others that day that were mad that day too. One man was talking to them asking why he was still waiting on his vehicle. He was told his his oil change was going to take only 15 minutes to be finished but at that point he had been there for an hour and a half and they hadn't even started.
Will not be returning.
If you had asked me after my first visit how I felt, they would have awarded them two stars. But, as a particularly difficult customer, I feel that they have bent over backwards to address my concerns. On one occasion I had to wait for parts and missed a service deal, but they honoured the deal and gave me the discount. Bottom line is that they're a business and they are going to try and upsell you- just be friendly and firm and they will back down.
Aggressive sales staff. Poor after purchase service. Up charge as much as they can. Will not honor any previous commitments. I love Jeep and Ram but would rather drive to Ottawa than deal with the Lapointes. Bottom line, they are just out to make a dime and damned be the customer.
Great customer service, for sales and service. Live two hours away and still go back time to time depending on what is wrong. My vehicle has been treated really well there.
Went in to finance My first car, there was a couple hiccups because of my age at the time and my occupation, but they got through it all and got me in a brand new dodge dart for the fraction of the price for a new one because it had a couple thousand km on it so it was considered "used" at the time I dealt with willow as my sales person and she was great, but everyone else there was friendly and awesome, to this day every time I get my car serviced it's always on time and out when they tell me it's going to be done!
