STAY AWAY FROM DON WHEATON!!
First & last time dealing with this dealership. 3-4 weeks of me just reaching out to them about the Escalade I wanted to buy. I’ve never spent more than a week on ever buying a vehicle. I felt like a beggar having to constantly reach out. I was dealing with Mark in Sales and Jason in Finance. I have sent Mark many texts to which he read all of them and never replied back. I would call them directly, through the dealership and through texts & voicemails. I insisted on only running ONE inquiry on my credit. They still ran 3. Horrible customer service, they don’t even try for their customer. I’ve had multiple Cadillacs In the past 5 years but this is the worst service I’ve received. I went over to Wolfe Cadillac where I got an approval right away and they actually took care of me. I could keep going on but GO TO WOLFE CADILLAC, GO TO ANYONE BUT DO NOT GO TO DON WHEATON.
I was contacted about my private sale vehicle, they were interested in purchasing it for their preowned lot. To my surprise they were very reasonable and I felt that I received a very fair value for my vehicle. Highly recommend don wheaton !
Purchased a new XT4 Cadillac 6 months ago. It’s in need of a major repair with no ETA on parts. I have tried to contact this Dealership several times and they will not answer me… don’t purchase from this place, terrible service… better yet, don’t buy a Cadillac!
On the 20th August 2024 my wife and I picked up our new 2024 Cadillac XT5 from Don Wheaton Cadillac in Edmonton, Ab. Our salesman was Oleh Kutson. Considering this was a new vehicle we were buying it was still quite dirty(had not been properly washed etc before picking it up). So be it. Kutson, was a poor sales person at best. We always felt he couldn't get us out of the door quick enough(take your vehicle and go attitude). The lady sales manager was much better to deal with. We took our vehicle home and that evening my son and I did a proper cleaning job on it. Bottom line is this vehicle had a total of eight(8), count them 8, scratches, dents and factory flaws on it. The next day I spoke to Kutson about these problems and he advised me come in and they would have their detailing shop fix everything. We made the trip back to Edmonton and went to the detailing shop. They were able to fix 1 of the problems as the rest required body work. I again contacted Kutson, with this information, and now I had to drive back into Edmonton to a body shop. The body shop advised me that the vehicle needed body work to fix the scratches, dents and factory flaws. No surprise. I was then in contact with another sales manager, I can't remember his name. He told me it was a Cadillac problem, nothing to do with them anymore. I then contacted the manager of Don Wheaton Cadillac and advised him of the problems I was having. The bottom line was that they wanted me take a brand new vehicle direct from their dealership to a body shop and have body work done on it. This was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. This was a NEW vehicle, not used or a demo!!!! I even suggested I would swap the vehicle out for another vehicle even if I had to pay more for a higher end model. At this time my vehicle had less than 200 kms on it. This was not acceptable by the manager. After this the manager no longer conversed with me. The feeling I got was "once you're out the door its no longer our problem". My wife and I are older and over the years we have purchased probably 10 new GM vehicles. We were always so happy the way we were treated by the dealerships involved, especially if a problem arose. I have been in touch with Cadillac Canada and they are wonderful to deal with. Since the management of this dealership no longer want to deal with me or this problem, my options are limited. Family and friends are encouraging me take legal action, which is next on the agenda. Like everyone has said they can't believe any dealership would suggest taking a brand new vehicle from the show room to a body shop for repairs!!! We sometimes got the feeling that this dealership was trying to take advantage of us as we are older. In any event, these are the facts and I will let readers form their own opinion. Thank you.

Great experience with Don Wheaton Cadillac. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I had Carter as my salesman and he was professional, patient, and kind. They let me do an inspection with my own mechanic before purchase which really helped relieve me of any worries. Great and trustworthy staff in my opinion.
DO NOT GO HERE WHATSOEVER! I took in both my Cadillacs here to get serviced and fixed, each time I had to go back in a week with something or the other broken or a new problem arising that was never a problem before I took the car to them. They are always adding charges "they forgot to add in the first place" after providing me with the quotations. Moreover, the service people are always rude and don't know how to deal with customers. After taking $7000 from me and my car is still not fixed. I would give them 0 stars if I could. AVOID GOING HERE AT ALL COSTS!
For the last 10 days, I’ve been shopping for a new car for my wife, Nancie. I’ve been online and visited a number of dealers and met some nice people and some real phoney people. Then I contacted Don Wheaton Cadillac and I received quick and responsive answers. I was able to make them an offer which they worked with me to facilitate. My sales person Carter Mozak An outstanding young man communicated with me clearly and honestly, and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with during the whole process. Working with his sales manager, John they helped Nancie and I get into a beautiful 2024 Cadillac XT five Premium luxury Lease at a very competitive rate. Before contacting Don Wheaton I visited a whole host of new and used auto lots. Those experiences left me exhausted and disappointed. Not many of the car listed or advertised were actually available when I arrived at the lots. We almost bought a Cadillac from another Cadillac dealer in Edmonton but when we got down to the numbers, their cost to us was almost twice as much as we leased our vehicle from at Don Wheaton Cadillac. So if you’re looking to do business with a car dealership, there’s a reason why Don Wheaton has been in business for so long here in Edmonton. They offer transparency in their pricing, a willingness to work to get you into the vehicle that you want at a reasonable price. There service and courtesy Is second to none. Thanks to all of you at Don Wheaton for salvaging our car buying experience.
I purchased a 2020 Cadillac XT5 at Don Wheaton, I had to, because for the first time ever, dealing with car sales people I was never pushed to make a deal neither was I tricked into purchasing packages that I do not need, there were no hidden costs and there were no tricks to unfairly get into my pocket.
It was a fair deal. Rather they were giving me best options that fit my budget. I have walked out of many dealerships angry, cursing, never had a genuine handshake because they would throw in some booby traps making me regret the whole deal.
According to my assessment Don Wheaton does not fall under car dealerships. They should call themselves something else because they do not meet the unscrupulous characteristics of the many car dealerships I know.
I met Carter Mozak a very good gentleman, very knowledgeable and gets you the best of your budget. He did not divert me to something that I didn't plan to buy rather he worked with me alongside what I was there for. I wonder how he got so much knowledge at his age, bless his heart.
Then I met Tim Florek. I have never laughed so hard at a car dealership. Easy going gentleman. What you agree on is what you get. He brings out all a customer need to know and help them make an informed decision. No tricks just pure business.
I will definitely, without a doubt, come back here for my next vehicle.

Manager gave me access to the dealership owned fast charger (chevy bolt euv) the other charger was being used they did me a real favor as I'm passing through 7pm to head to Calgary. Good customer service thanks again

Very rude customer service, salesperson kept telling me so “you don’t want it” on our first call. Later on Trying to sell all the extra options as mandatory with every vehicle. Such service packages etc with extra 20k.

We have purchased 4 trucks through Don Wheaton in the past 6 years, and possibly will be putting that number up to 6 this month ( Just drove a 2015 Chev Silverado 3500 HD Ltz Diesel off the lot yesterday) Even though we don't live in Edmonton, we are more than happy to make the trip there to deal with Troy.
Troy Sorge is our "go to guy" there, and we deal directly with him. He never let's us down!
Troy goes above and beyond to make the process smooth. His customer service skills are excellent, and he feels more like a friend. He goes out of his way, and puts a lot of time in to make sure we are happy and get the vehicle we want with the options we want at a fair price.
All we have to do is give him a call or send him an email and he's right on it. He also keeps us informed through the whole process.
To sum it up - We won't deal anywhere else, no matter how far we have to travel. We are Troy Sorge/Don Wheaton lifetime customers!
