I had been vehicle shopping for quite a while and finally came across the perfect vehicle at the GM dealership in Kenora, ON. Since I live in Thunder Bay, it wasn't as easy as being able to just stop in for a test drive, but I got all of the help I required via email with Jordan Kantola. For about 2 weeks I was in discussions about the vehicle purchase and through it all, Jordan answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. Once I decided to purchase the vehicle and make the drive to Kenora, it only got better from there. The whole process was quick and smooth. I even got a fair price for my trade in vehicle with no hassle. I am very happy with my vehicle and the Kenora GM dealership. Given the opportunity I would buy from them again and would recommend them to others too!

This was my first ever time at a dealership. There has always been a stigma around dealerships for me because of prices, financing, etc... I found this to be extremely untrue. I have nothing but incredible things to say about my experience dealing with Jordan the salesman that helped me and Dan the financial advisor that helped me. Both of them made it so incredibly easy to understand everything and pick out exactly what I wanted. Me and my family were extremely impressed and appreciative how well they took care of us throughout the entire time dealing with them. I recently purchased a preloved car from them. Chris was clear and concise in explaining about the car that we wanted to buy. Also, he was kind enough to pick up us at our place to collect the car at the showroom, such a nice gesture. Cannot recommend the team at GM higher! Every single person I spoke to in the dealership was wonderful, and at no point was I left lost or without assistance. I was doing some preliminary research online and within minutes was contacted by Jason who was knowledgeable, patient and kind while I hemmed and ha’d. Not at all impressed with the customer-service we have received or should I say not received with the purchase of our used vehicle. Purchased in January and a few months in had to replace a shock and now need a new muffler due to a baseball sized rusted hole. Not sure how a safety was passed. Warranty of course has run out even tho I did notice a noise when purchased but I’m not a mechanic and thought it was just the type of vehicle (Hyundai). We now have to spend $1500 on a new muffler and we have had calls, texts and emails not returned.

Purchased my vehicle from here and must say the service was impeccable!!! Josh and Dan made the process so easy, they were both so welcoming, happy to answer all the questions I had and all the details were straight forward. The environment over-all was also welcoming and comfortable. They had my vehicle ready when they said even though they were extremely busy and kept in contact/provided updates over the 3 day period of finalizing the purchase. I will certainly be back to purchase any future vehicles!
Purchased a 2022 GMC Canyon here. This is the first vehicle I have ever financed, and it seemed daunting, but Jason and Dan kept me well informed on every step of the process. Service was very professional, and I would highly reccomend this dealer.
After some unfortunate business I was having some trouble keeping up with the payments on my truck. Since I had bought it from Jordan the sales manager, I reached out to him and his team and by the next week they had worked out a vehicle to trade to help me out. Super friendly and helpful staff. I showed up at the dealership and within half an hour I was on my way!
We bought a 2015 Nissan which we discovered had a significant mechanical issue after purchase. After some discussion, the dealership came through and fixed the problem at no additional charge. I must say I was impressed, especially with Brendan. Excellent customer service.

I have always purchased Chevrolets and always from this location. Originally when it was Kantola GM and I stayed loyal through to the new owners. The staff have always been friendly, caring and helpful.
I recently had trouble with my truck, had to get it towed; had it dropped at Kenora GM on May 7th, 2024 around 10pm. The following morning I called to let the Service team know why my vehicle was there and I asked when it could be looked at.
That is my primary work vehicle. I was not looking for special treatment, rather I wanted to know a rough date so I could make rental arrangements if need be.
The girl I spoke with on the phone was very cold and uncaring. Her answer was the same each time "we will look at it when we can". Even after I nicely explained my situation to her. She did not care.
I decided to get another tow truck to take it elsewhere. While waiting for the tow truck the Service Manager came and spoke to me; he had seen me standing in the yard and inquired with his staff why; to his displeasure he said if I left it with them that they would at least be able to diagnose it that week. I explained to him my correspondence with his staff member and appreciated his offer but the tow truck was already on the way.
Edit: The General Manager reached out and offered to make it right. We agreed that they would cover the cost of the original tow truck.
From Toronto ON, I purchased a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 truck from this dealership. Because of distance I never travelled to Kenora to see it. The truck just got delivered and not a single dent. Great condition and professional customer service. Highly recommended 😊
I had a quote from a Service that I was confused about in the past. They actually invited me in for a complimentary second opinion. It turns out that there was an inside wheel issue that other garages missed. I was surprised that they got me in to fix it that same day and did it as reasonably priced as possible. I also enjoyed the complimentary loaner vehicle while I waited. The loaner truck was so nice that I think it will be the next vehicle I purchase. I highly recommend this dealership for service and sales. Everyone is quite friendly and committed to giving their customers a warm feeling.

I visited the dealership for a service appointment. I needed to drive from Winnipeg to Kenora and back to Winnipeg the same day.
The forecast wasn't great for driving the day I was supposed to be there. I called and Ignacio rescheduled me no problem. While waiting, I overheard staff asking a few local customers if they'd mind getting their vehicle back slightly later than planned, likely to accommodate me. Thank you! The staff were exceptionally polite, respectful, and welcoming to every customer that visited while I was waiting. Ignacio had my invoice ready before my vehicle was off the hoist, so I could pay and get on the road ASAP. Really, really nice people, great customer service. Thank you again.

I was travelling through the area and needed an oil change. I went to several Jeep dealerships from Calgary to Kenora and not one of them would service my vehicle. Even though this was a GM dealership I was not sure if they would help. They went above and beyond and took care of my Jeep Cherokee in under and hour. They squeezed me in as I was on a tight deadline for travelling purposes. They were friendly and even allowed my dog to come wait in the service area as it was a little cold outside to wait. Tried to buy a vehicle from them they wanted me to set a date to come for a test drive, I asked for photos first since they had none listed and did not want to drive and get there and see a rust bucket, but then got ignored, asked a week later for photos, just to be told they sold it 2 days prior for full price. Not sure why your company ghosted me, I would have bought that vehicle. Did not know asking for photos before driving out too see a vehicle warranted being ghosted.
AMAZING SERVICE, AMAZING PEOPLE!!!! I am a full time traveler living in my RV and this dealership stepped up to the plate big time today to help me deal with an immediate need to have road line paint removed from my tow car. This is a time sensative issue and, without an appointment, they helped me as a walk in customer. The shop detailing manager Samantha Bacskai had my subaru looking brand new in no time at all. This could have had me missing a few of my next stops had these guys not taken such good care of me. Such friendly people to boot Thank you for keeping me rolling down the road!!!!!!
