Worst experience ever. Been a client for over a decade for service and a new car, well today that stops. My last car three weeks ago failed inspection due to a headlight being loose (they made clear that things like my abs lights turning on for no reason was not an issue,as I specifically inquired about it then, my abs still worked just lights turned on) . Well some reason that abs light is the only reason they won't pass the car now. This could have been told to me 3 weeks ago but they waited till now. Will never bring car in for service again or buy a new car again due to this inconsistent service (and the ignorance to say we will look at it for an additional 120$… 120$ maybe to repair a problem but not just to look at it)

I walked into MacDonald GMC in a bit of a pickle. I was under the impression I was pushing my luck trying to get out of my lease, which was only a year and a half in, with kilometer overages. Long story short I knew I was upside down and wanted out of that vehicle.
Josh, Tyler and Zack did me a solid. They not only got me into a beautiful truck at a reasonable payment but they got me top dollar for my car and out of that sticky lease free and clear, despite the kilometer overages as well as Toyota Financial Services trying to hold me hostage in the lease. Their connections with neighbouring dealers helped steer me in the right direction to get that sorted out, and I have nothing but excellent things to say about the team here.
If it’s a GM purchase, make it a purchase with Josh MacPhee at MacDonald GM. You will not regret it. As a consumer who is self admittedly picky, cheap and not always the easiest to please, I know they bent over backwards to do me a great deal on this truck and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Excellent customer service. Will & Zack both did an excellent job listening and working with us to get us the car that fit our needs & budget. They both understood what we were after and respected our budget firmly without trying to push us into a deal outside our comfort zone.
This was our first time buying a second-hand vehicle and I was nervous about what the experience would be like, but after the excellent service we got here I would trivially recommend MacDonald GMC to friends & family who are car (or used car!) shopping.
Like most dealers a little pricey. This is understandable given the huge overhead. However service was excellent and they even washed my Cadillac when I brought it in for service. Parts department was also extremely friendly and helpful.
Buying a new car is scary all in itself and so overwhelming, but this place made it a breeze. Justin picked out vehicles in our budget , and gave me options as to what would be the best for comfort and reliability for our small family. They were all so friendly and made the experience much more enjoyable then i thought it would ever be.
So thankful for everything Justin did for us. Because of him, there’s one more happy and safe family driving around :)
Satisfied with the experience, all staff I encountered were friendly and polite. Mike was helpful upon arrival. Top up of washer fluid was a nice touch. Everything was completed as expected, although I have not checked yet that all grease fittings were greased. They haven’t always been in the past. Drop off was easy as was pickup. I did miss not having the complimentary truck wash, but understand, it’s always a treat when they have done it in the past. I have no complaints with service appointment or employees I interacted with. Well done.
Great service, being open until midnight has been the biggest value for me....and the gentleman with Elvis Presley hair style that's very knowledgeable about GMC car too. Always learn a new thing when I speak to him
We had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with Sébastien LeBrun, one of the sales men, from MacDonald Buick GMC Cadillac. He greeted us at the door with a smile. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, he guided and assisted us through the process of test driving and purchasing our new vehicle. His availability to answer all of questions through out the process was above and beyond. He is an asset to this company.
Was not happy with service department. Didn't do job I asked. Billed me the same but did half the job. Head service guy was awesome and tried making things right but the original guy still manges to mess it up. He still charges me extra and at this point I had enough. Love GM but sad to have had such a poor experience. You go to these big dealerships with high expectations but it can only take one bad character to ruin it.
This review is regarding Service: The drop off process like always was flawless. The gentleman I usually deal with was friendly, helpful and prompt. Unfortunately, upon pickup this gentleman wasn’t there so I was left dealing with another staff member. As I waited on the side, while my truck was sitting just outside the bay doors - I waited roughly 10-15 minutes the staff member to get off their cellphone to come over and assist me.
On a regular day, MacDonald GMC would get a 5/5 but unfortunately today was a bit of a flop on the customer service side.

Although initially I was told it would take a week to fix my car, in the end it took a full three weeks.
Otherwise the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. When the delays became overwhelming they offered me a lease vehicle, so I am very happy about that. I would give 5 stars for an excellent service and overall satisfaction were it not for the amount of time it took to get the job done.
