Very disappointed, made a appointment Friday afternoon to come view not one but two used vehicles, Saturday morning I drive 45 min for my appointment and when I get there I’m told by the salesman (Who had all my contact info ) that both vehicles were not available any longer ! He was trying to get me to look at other vehicles but that’s not why I came to this dealership! I let him know how disappointed I was and how much of a waste of time this all was !! He offered to atleast do a vehicle appraisal for me which he would have all the numbers within the hour , took all the info and pictures and nearly a week later I have not heard a peep from anyone . The whole experience from start to end was a complete waste of my time and I gladly purchased a vehicle from a deserving dealership less than a week later !
Be cautious before driving to this dealership!

Not true , spoke with a salesman 6 months ago on a completely different vehicle so no reason for confusion, this sales guy knew what vehicles I was interested in and had all my contact info as I spoke to him directly, very easy to call or text me to notify me they were no longer available instead of me driving 1.5 hrs there and back for nothing !! Just a trap to get me in the door a try to sell me something else

I dealt with more than one person in each of the the sales, financing, and service departments. All of the staff were very pleasent and friendly. They were all good at trying to match my needs with the services available. The sales person was very helpful in ensuring I was happy with the vehicle features fulfilling the parameters I set. As a first-time purchaser, when I was confused about some of the financing process, they were able to correct the documents after I had signed (and already had possession) as they hadn't submitted them yet.

Originally bought my truck at the end of 2021. The sales staff Mike was great, always had answers to my questions and went above and beyond for me. The trouble started with the financial service manager I was paired with. I asked her several times over two weeks ahead of picking up my truck to have copies of all their policies and add-ons they offered email to me, as I was interested in getting a few things like rust proofing and paint protection etc. I was never sent these copies, thus, I did not purchase anything extra except for an insurance policy. I would have gotten more if she had sent me the copies to look over, I don't make large purchases on a whim without looking into the details.

Also, it is now a year and a half into my finance and I have asked her several times about extending my warranty and I have been ghosted every single time. It is also akin to pulling teeth to get any paperwork looked at and processed by her.

I'm sorry but this experience has put such a bad taste in my mouth, I will most likely be trading my vehicle in elsewhere soon just to rid myself of the headache.

In 2019, these guys were top notch.

Now, something goes wrong every time we visit. And it doesn't even matter what department we talk to. I'd be more forgiving if it was a one-off, but it's been several disappointing visits now, the last of which is going to put me out a significant amount of money.

We've now dealt with the used manager (at the time, not sure if he's still there) presenting false offers on vehicles, then hiding when we came to take advantage of the offer he called us about due most likely to knowing he couldn't make good on his words. We've had sales people who lost us a vehicle we wanted because they couldn't be bothered to answer their messages.

The management didn't bother returning my calls or emails about any of that, suggesting they don't really care once they get you to drive off the lot. Now, for the 3rd time in the last 4 attempts, they failed to get my tires out of storage despite my having made an appointment. The first 2 instances were an annoyance due to regular seasonal tire changes needing to be rescheduled. The most recent time it was for the purposes of collecting my property which is owed to another dealership for a trade in that is already made, so this failure is going to cost me money which may very well require support from the small claims court to rectify.

I've bought my last vehicle from the Birchwood automotive group, and I recommend you run in the opposite direction too. I might expect this level of shabby treatment from a shifty rural used car lot with no competition. Getting it from what has been advertised as a top company in Canada is baffling and inexcusable.

Not that anyone at this dealership cares what we think.

I've been dealing with Birchwood GM for 4 years now. Originally leased a new truck in 2018, and just recently decided to keep the vehicle and buy out the lease. In that time I've taken the truck back for every service and two small mechanical failures. The original salesman Mike was great, but at the time the finance manager was a nightmare to deal with to try and close the deal with a payment and term I was happy with. Since then they replaced the finance manager with Doug who was an absolute pleasure to work with on the lease buyout. The experience was very smooth and it was easy to look over options, and the customer service was exceptional. For servicing the truck over the years I've dealt with many service writers and they were all great, Jim stands out as going above and beyond. In terms of the mechanics they were effective at finding and resolving the issues the two times something came up, usually within just a few hours from diagnosing to correcting. Basic maintenance was always a quick deal, I would just wait and it was typically finished in an hour or less. Can't give 5 stars because the initial deal was a battle, and there were sometimes hiccups, but I'll say since then they've made some great changes, and whenever I've flagged an issue some one from Birchwood always got back to me and tried to make it right.

Called to make an appointment to have a creak looked into. Got appointment next day. They offer complimentary Uber anywhere in the city which is super convenient. Service advisor James stayed in touch and kept me posted on progress, then arranged for Uber to bring me back to pick up. The technician Jason texted me a video of the part that they fixed which was pretty cool. Everything under warranty, didn’t try to upsell/do any add ons. Great experience overall.

Beware any dealer that removes the factory window stickers from new cars. There is a good chance you are about to be hit with a lot of over inflated, hidden add--ons to your price. It is easy for a dealer who wants a transparent process to leave the factory window sticker on, and add a second sheet with add on charges. Honest and transparent dealerships do this all the time.

My credit was not good enough but still more than 650 they just play with me they sell me overpriced (around 20 grand) base model with almost no functions. When I go for trade at birch wood Hyundai
They call that vehicle garbage and they valued almost
8000 less the price they sell .
But if u still wanna visit them just beware of the guy

If there was a zero star, I would’ve picked that!
We bought a brand new 2018 Equinox in 2018, and paid extra for Extended warranty. Our SUV is just over four years old, and we have kept up with oil changes etc.
No problems until now- a bearing seized which caused a connecting rod to punch a hole in the oil pan and the motor blew. See picture.. and it wasn’t because of lack of oil either..
I just got the oil changed 2 days before, so the oil was clean and full. No reason for a bearing to go! Because I was 15,000 km over the warranty, they will not cover anything! I have to get a new motor, plus installation which will cost me thousands of $.
I’ve contacted Birchwood service, where we bought our Equinox-the service manager, GM customer care, and no one had an explanation as to why this happened, or will help me in any way. Not even an offer of partial coverage.
I find it ridiculous, that extended warranty does not cover this. I would suggest that people not buy extended warranty because it is a waste of money, at least with this company. What is actually covered?? Not much.
This was the first new Chev vehicle that we purchased, and after this nightmare, I will no longer be purchasing a GM! You think a large company would back up their vehicles, well, NOT GM!!

I was Driving from Calgary to Toronto when my Chevy Cruze stopped accelerating pass 40 Km. I was lucky the issue happened only 5 minutes from Birchwood Chevrolet. I made my way to the service department where I meet Albert who was extremely professional. Even tho service was booked up to a week away he was able to quickly get me a diagnosis because of my situation. They was able to order all the necessary parts and had my car fixed in a couple days.

I had a great experience at birchwood Chevy this past month. I did quite a bit of shopping around for a Traverse and just as I was about to purchase one elsewhere, I decided to check with Birchwood. I was matched with Jennifer and she made everything so easy. It was not pushy, not misleading, it was just super easy and informative dealing with her.
Compared to other dealerships, let me tell you, I felt like I was actually getting the best deal and most accurate info at Birchwood. They beat every other dealerships trade in value by almost 4K and Jennifer gave me all the different choices I asked for rather than trying to convince me to buy new, she let me try a new traverse vs a used traverse which is what I asked for.
Very highly recommend dealing with Jennifer in sales and Judy in finance. If I could give more stars I would!

I bought a used Toyota from this dealership recently and when I picked it up the maintenance required light was on. When asked about it I was told the oil change was just done and the service Center didn’t know how to reset it? Really, professional mechanics couldn’t figure out how to reset it, that in itself is very worrisome, I will never bring my vehicle to their service Center. Also, the unlock/lock functions on my second key didn’t work. I switched the batteries and still nothing. Took it back to the dealership and they said they couldn’t fix it, told me to take it to a Toyota dealer and it should be covered under warranty but he did say he would cover the cost if there was any to fix it. Point is why am I responsible to reset my maintenance required light and fix my key the first day I pick up my 27K car. The only positive thing about my experience was dealing with Judy (finance) and Jennifer (sales) who wasn’t even my sales person, she was just the one who walked me through the vehicle when I picked it up. My sales person Sabrina wasn’t very invested after the deal was done. Couldn’t even be bothered to thank me for the purchase I made or anything. If you’re looking for good customer service, don’t go here, and if you’re looking for a competent service Center, don’t go here either. The only reason I bought from here was they had the used vehicle I wanted at a reasonable price. Don’t expect to be catered too or you’ll be sorrowly disappointed.

Birchwood GM Service diagnosed and replaced the transmission on my 2003 Saturn Vue with no hassles. I had the transmission replaced before by Birchwood GM and it was still under warranty. All I had to do was bring them the car, and tell them about the problem, they took care of everything and kept me informed of their progress. When I picked-it up, all I had to do was sign for it and drive away, easy! The Service Representative, Albert Guercio took good care of me and my car. Very Happy with the service!
